Logan’s POV
I do have to say dinner was the most fun I’ve had in a really long time. Louis had me laughing almost the entire dinner. I’ve never seen someone with so much energy in my life. Louis was just all over the place and it made me laugh and smile for the first time in years. After dinner the boys talked Jackie and I into to doing a movie night at their dorm before classes started. I was currently tucked into Louis’ side since my flimsy sweater wasn’t cutting it anymore. I really needed to go invest in a heavier jacket before classes started and I got caught at the school late at night and it was freezing.

“You need to invest in a heavier jacket love,” Louis said reading my mind.

“I know,” I replied, “I just don’t know where to go.”

“We can go later tomorrow,” he said, “I’ll come get you after your orientation and we can head to the mall.”

“Lou you don’t. . .” I started knowing that if we continued to hang out the way we were that I would get attached and things would get to where they were when I was with Beau and I just didn’t need that screwing me over again.

“Nope Lo-Lo,” Louis said, “We’re going. I’ll pick you up at 4:30 in the afternoon and we will go have fun.”

“Fine,” I sighed knowing that Louis was just going to bug me until I said yes.

“Yes!” Louis exclaimed and we both heard Jackie and Harry exclaim something about finding a redbox.

We got to where they were standing and I about squealed when I saw they had Risky Business in the box.

“We are watching it!” I exclaimed and all three of them laughed at my enthusiasm.

I quickly rented the movie and soon we were walking into the boys’ dorm. Harry and Jackie were in charge of getting the movie ready while Louis and I were in charge of popcorn.

“Did you guys already go shopping?” I asked confused.

“No,” he said, “My mum and stepdad went grocery shopping while I was unpacking and brought us groceries.”

“Oh,” I said as we put the popcorn in a huge bowl.

“Yeah,” he said.

I knew Louis was about to ask me about my family life but thankfully Jackie’s voice ruined the moment.

“Hurry up you two!” she exclaimed, “I’m dying over here to watch this movie!”

I quickly then grabbed the bowl and walked into the living room to find Harry and Jackie already sprawled out on the floor. I laughed lightly as I stepped over them and sat on the couch cross legged.

“No fair,” Harry pouted, “You have the popcorn too far away from me.”

“Then move closer lazy,” Jackie said as I handed her the bowl.

“You handed Jackie the popcorn bowl,” Harry pouted.

“Logan loves me more Curly,” Jackie said sticking out her tongue.

I just laughed at her antics and then felt the couch dip next to me. I looked over to see Louis sitting next to me with a bowl of popcorn in his hands.

“You two share that and Lo-Lo and I will share this one,” Louis said.

“Lo-Lo?” Harry asked raising an eyebrow.

“Yes Lo-Lo,” Louis said, “Only I can call her that so deal with it.”

He then stuck his tongue out for emphasis which made me and Jackie giggle at his childishness. That was one thing that always made me jealous of other people. I was never comfortable with myself to ever act like that. I was always reserved, always arm’s length from anyone since the day my mother and brother died in that car accident. I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard my name being called.

“Huh? What?” I asked.

“Ready for the movie to start?” Jackie asked.

“Duh,” I said, “I was born ready.”

Everyone laughed at my joke and Harry pushed play on the remote.

Louis’ POV
I was really happy that I found out Logan was my next-door-neighbor. I don’t know what it was about her but I just knew she was different. I could tell she wasn’t one to make friends easily and she kept people a ways away from her. I don’t know why that was but I wanted to find out. I wanted to show her that people weren’t always like that. There are good people she can trust and be friends with. I was actually a bit too happy that the girls said yes to our movie night. That meant I could sit next to Logan and hopefully maybe cuddle with her if she would let me. I’ve been sneaking glances at her throughout the entire movie and I smiled to myself. I thought her giggle was the cutest thing in the world. It was adorable and her smile was the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen. Calm down Lou, she’s not even your girlfriend. Breathe. I tried to keep my mind on the movie since it was one of Logan’s favorites but I soon noticed that she had unconsciously moved closer to me. I was trying not to freak out but soon I noticed we were actually cuddling a bit. My arm was casually thrown over her shoulders and she was lying her head on my shoulder. My body was on fire but it a good way. I felt warm and tingly where Logan and I had body contact.

“Are you cold love?” I asked in her ear quietly since Harry and Jackie we’re in their own world too.

“No,” she mumbled and I could hear sleepiness in her voice.

“If you do let me know okay,” I said.

“Uh-huh,” she replied and she unconsciously curled into my body even more.

I pulled her closer to me and we continued watching the movie and laughing at it. I don’t know when Logan fell asleep, but I noticed she did when she clutched my shirt a bit tighter than before I heard her mumble Lukas. I frowned when I heard that name. Who was Lukas and why was she mumbling his name with such pain and sorrow behind it? Was he an ex-boyfriend? A brother? Did he hurt her or something? I was about to pick her up and take her to my room but she just clutched my shirt tighter.

“Don’t leave me,” she whispered.

I frowned at that sentence and pulled her closer to me and made us comfortable so that we could lie on the couch together. I put my arm around her waist and pulled her close to me. I wasn’t going to let this girl feel alone like I knew she was feeling. I was going to give her a friend that she could confide in and tell her deepest darkest secrets too if it was the last thing I did. I remember my last coherent thought being making this girl feel like she was the most beautiful thing in the world and she could conquer anything.
