Niall was serene as always. He smiled, his eyes sparkled when they saw food. Months had passed since the so-called break up. Just bad time in which disclosure of your feelings for each other was aburden than relief and the only solution was to pretend that it never happened. It was an awful feeling.

Inside you wanted to be with him, to talk all night like before, to hug and cuddle if only as a friend. Before that it was enough just to look at him, and now even that was gone.You lost your best friend.
It hurt too much.
‘Come with us tonight. We’re planning a picnic party, it’s gonna be fun.’- Louis called you on the phone.
‘I want, but that thing between me and Niall..’
‘We don’t know what happened and we don’t care. You are our friend, just come.’
‘Okay, I will.’

One evening in which jokes and songs could be felt in the air. You told yourself that that night you’ll be strong and will laugh even disingenuous because you didn’t want to show them how hurt you were.
Suddenly, Louis started singing that song. Yeah, the song that was only for you and Niall. He stood up and walked somewhere. He was angry, maybe. You all looked at each other and Louis whispered in your ear to follow him.
It was your chance to talk with Niall.
You went to him. At first you said nothing, just stood quietly beside him, looked into his eyes and then looked forward. Niall also looked at you, but he didn’t take his eyes and continued to stare at you.
-They said that I should... talk with you. But they don’t know what happened in the studio when we were alone, right? I don’t know why…- He interrupted you.
-I’m not angry. – Niall paused and took a breath. - Heartbroken. You know, it’s hard to pretend to be alright when you’re not. Yes, something happened in the studio, but it was so real and warm. I just know that it hurts. I tried to forget, but apparently it’s not working.-He looked down and smiled.
- Falling in love is the second best thing in the world, because you’re the first. There’s a part of me that will always love you no matter what.-You told him and looked directly in his eyes.
He wiped the tears that ran down your face, wrapped his arms around your waist and gave you the warmest kiss.
‘I can't believe it took me so long to figure out that I’m happy only with you.’
You smiled and heard the loud applause by the other boys.
