Listen To Your Heart ~ COMPLETED

The World Wants To Know

Harmony’s POV
I walked into the phone booth and hung my shades from the hem of my shirt. I placed the right amount of money into the machine and waited for it to start ringing. I dialed in Harry’s number and waited for him to pick up.

‘Ring… ring… ring…’ the phone went on forever then suddenly was cut short in the middle of ringing.

‘You’ve reached Harry. He can’t get to the phone right now because he’s snogging his girlfriend. Don’t feel obligated to leave a message after the beep,” Louis familiar answering machine message played. I’m surprised Harry hasn’t found out yet.

‘BEEP.’

I left a message trying to explain a good amount of the situation for him to know and hung up in hopes that Harry would check his blasted voicemail. I’m dying to hear his voice. Hopefully, Tanner will let me call again soon.

Nonetheless, we walked the last few blocks to the place that will be my temporary home until things clear up. I was extremely tired, so I informed Tanner that I would be taking an extremely long nap in my room.

Harry’s POV
I woke up early the next morning. Simon was letting us have today off in hopes of the boys being able to knock some sense into me. All I wanted to do was stay in bed and wait for the moment that any of the girls would call me, but the guys had something else in mind.

“Harry! Get up! We’re going out!” Louis shouted as all of my friends started jumping on my bed. I swung around wildly at them trying to get them off of me. In the process of doing so, other miscellaneous items were shifted from their current places into random corners of my room.

“Stop jumping on me. I’m up!” I stood up and pulled the comforter of the bed up with me causing the guys to fall off the bed. I walked over to my bathroom, pass the whining boys on the floor and slammed the door shut. I took a quick shower to clear my head and rid of the dirt I had collected.

After my power shower, I put on some clothes and went out to see what the guys were doing.

“Yay! Let’s go!” Niall shouted. He took me by the arm and started dragging me out of my flat.

“Where are we going?” I asked confused.

“Out to eat, duh!” Niall informed me. I allowed him to drag me out of the building with Louis, Liam, and Zayn in pursuit.

“Any word from the girls yet?” Liam asked as we sat waiting for our food to come out.

“Um… Let me check.” I searched my pockets for my phone, but with no such luck. “Forgot my phone,” I explained when I showed no phone.

“Check when we get back later. We’re going to be out for awhile though, so a good time spent away from worrying over your phone should do you some good,” Lou said.

“I guess it could,” I frowned. I, for one, am not happy about not having my phone with me. What if she calls? What if they find her? I won’t know. I guess any of the rest of the guys could tell me because they have their phones, but I wanted to be the first to know. I need to be too. I’m a complete wreck without her.

~

Finally, after hours of just wandering around town, we made our way home, or should I say we were chased. News had gotten out that we were out and about, and right now we are in the midst of a life or death situation. Either we run from our ‘devoted’ fans or suffer the consequences of being caught by a mob. Please help us.

“This way! Paul is meeting us closer to the edge of town!” Liam shouted. His voice was barely audible over the cries and screams, but it was loud enough for us to know to follow.

We had to continue to run for another five minutes before the van was clearly in sight. Using the last of our will power, we quickly made our way to the van.

“Drive, Paul! Drive!” Louis shouted. This is a memory that will forever be concealed in my mind, hiding in the dark corners of memories I wish I didn’t remember. I am forever going to be scarred for life by this event. I had no idea our fans could be so… so violent.

“Is everybody okay?” Paul asked once we had all calmed down. A chorus of yes rang out. “Good. What were guys doing all the way across London anyway?”

“We were trying to cheer Haz up by taking him to various places in London, but a bunch of girls started to chase us,” Zayn explained. He’s been really quiet the whole day too. I’m surprised he had the courage to tell Paul.

“Harry, I’ve got some of the others looking for her too. We’ll find her.”

I shrunk my head down. The last thing I need is everyone telling me that we’re going to find her, me getting my hopes up, never finding her, and finally, my world getting destroyed as it is.

When Paul finally dropped us off, I took off running to find my phone. Anything could have happened in the past ten hours we’ve been gone, or in the time that my phone was dead. ANYTHING. The possibilities are endless as to what my phone may bring me.

I decided to risk running up seven flights of stairs instead of waiting five minutes for the elevator and waiting another five minutes to get up to the seventh floor. This is truly a dire situation here.

I dashed through the entrance of the flat and carelessly flung my bedroom door aside to search for my phone. Okay, it wasn’t plugged in where I left it. It has to be somewhere in this room. I guess I can retrace my footsteps this morning. I hopped onto my bed not caring to remove my shoes first.

Let’s see, I was trying to get the boys off of me, so I started to flail my arms knocking things off of my bedside table. That means my phone is somewhere on the left side of my room walking in. I scavenged through piles among piles of dirty clothes and various items strewn across my floor in an orderly fashion.

“What are you looking for?” Louis waltzed into my room nonchalantly with the other guys behind him.

“I can’t find my phone. It has to be somewhere here…”

“We’ll help you look,” Liam said. The boys all walked into my pig sty room and shut the door. We spread ourselves out among the piles and dug around for my phone.

“Um… Haz?” Zayn said unsure.

“Yeah?”

“Could this be it?” Standing behind the door, he held up what appeared to be my phone, but now the screen was cracked, the back part was off, wires were sticking out from the very insides of the device that I didn’t even know existed.

“No! No! No! No! No!” I cried out. I took my phone with shaking hands. It seems that hitting your phone across the room and throwing your door open on it just don’t mix unless you want your phone to be utterly destroyed.

“We’ll get a new one,” Niall said.

“But all of my pictures… and phone numbers… and-”

“Oh Hazza. You are so lucky that I took the liberty of placing a sim card into every one of your phones,” Liam smiled. “We’ll just place the card in the new phone and all of your settings will be the same.”

“Liam, you are my most favorite person right now,” I said. I got up and jumped him.

“I know,” he smirked.

“What about me?” Louis pouted. I jumped on him too.

“It’s okay Boobear; I still love you.”

“Ermahgerd. Larry Stylinson moment,” Zayn called.

“Hey!” Louis and I replied simultaneously.

“They even talk at the same time!” Niall said.

“I hate you guys!” Louis gritted his teeth and set me down.

“Naw, you love us. You just love Haz more.”

“Don’t get your knickers in a twist. Now get off to bed. I’m sure we all could use some rest.”

“Okay… Bye Harry!” they all wave goodbye as they walk out the door.

I then take my clothes off, leaving me in my boxers before heading off to sleep.

Harmony’s POV
When I woke up from my nap, it was already nine at night. My stomach growled indicating I was hungry. I hopped out of the warm, comfy blankets that concealed my body heat and walked out to the living room where Tanner was still up.

“Hey! I left you some pizza. It’s on the counter,” he said. It’s like this guy can read my mind. I managed to devour three whole slices before joining him on the sofa.

“Whatchya watching?” I asked.

“I don’t know really. Just flipping through the channels is all.”

“Are you ready ki-”

“Uh… Khakis?”

“Boy band, One Direction has made it back to-”

“I’d like to buy a vow-”

“Wait! Go back!” I shouted a bit too loudly for Tanner’s liking.

“Geez. Calm down. I’m changing it.”

“… but girlfriendless. Sources say that the boys of One Direction left their girlfriends in Anaheim where teen heart throb, Harry Styles, got back together with his former ex Harmony Mattingly. No one knows the reason as to why they would leave them there, but recently the girlfriends, Eleanor Calder, Danielle Peazer, and Perrie Edwards, were seen walking around Anaheim without Mattingly. Now the world wants to know, where is Harmony Mattingly?”
