This Love

"Okay what do you two want?" I ask the two little girls sitting at the table laughing. I was babysitting Delilah since Emily and Ashton are out. Or just having sex but yea same basically for them.


"Mac and cheese!" they both squeal.


"Alright." I laugh and start boiling the water.


"Mummy?" Olivia says. I turn to look at her.


"Yes?" I say.


"Who was that girl we saw at the mall the other day?" she asked.


"She was just a really big meanie that I used to go to school with." I reply.


"Oh." she says. "Am I gonna meet any meanies at school?" she asked.


"I don't know, but if you do don't talk to them." I chuckle.


"I can't wait for school!" she giggles.


"Soon." I say and start putting the pasta in the pan.


Olivia is starting school next week and honestly, I am terrified. She may be like an angel, but sometimes does not enjoy listening.


I felt a pair of arms snake around my waist and a head rested on mine.


"Hi." Luke says cheekily.


"Can you move I'm trying to make food!" I laugh.


"Fine." he scoffs but chuckles.


"By the way, your mum called and said your cousins are visiting Sydney for the weekend." I said and he sighed.


"I figured." he said.


"Why is that a bad thing?" I chuckle.


"Because she's gonna make me stay with people!" he whines and I just laugh.


"Aren't you doing that now?" i chuckle.


"Yea, but you guys don't tell weird stories and embarrass me." he said and laughed. I just shake my head and smile.


"When is Mac and cheese done?" Delilah asks.


"A few minutes." I reply.


"Okay." she said and started humming.


"When are we gonna have another little one?" Luke asks.


"Yea I want a baby brother or sister!" Olivia squeals.


"I don't know." I shrug. "Maybe we can try soon." I say.


"What do you mean try?" Olivia cuts in.


I just stare at Luke wide eyed and he just starts laughing.


"You guys are weird." Olivia says making me start laughing and Luke laugh harder.


"You'll find out when you're older." I say and go back to making the Mac and cheese for the girls.


Once they're finished I quickly put them in bowls and hand them to the girls.


"It's hot okay?" I say and they nod.


I go to the living room and sit down next to Luke on the couch. I snuggle into him and he presses a kiss on my forehead.


"So would you really want to try for another one?" he asks me.


"There's really nothing wrong about it now, and I'd love to have another baby, so why not?" I said and smiled.


He leaned in to kiss me and lifted me on top of him so I could straddle him.


I placed my arms around his neck and his went around my waist.


We heard a squeal so I pulled away. I saw Olivia and Delilah standing there covering their eyes.


"Mummy, daddy!" Olivia gasps.


"Did you guys finish eating?" I ask.


"Yea." she responds.


"Okay, we're sorry." I say.


"It's okay!" She says.


"I want my mummy and daddy!" Delilah says and runs to sit on Luke's lap.


"Your mummy and daddy aren't home yet." Luke says.


Delilah pouts and tears fill her eyes.


"Aww sweetie it's okay, they'll be back soon." I say a wipe one of her tears.


"Yea it's okay Del." Olivia says and smiles. She's too cute.


"Okay." Delilah says sadly and runs upstairs with Olivia.


There was a knock on the door. I got up to get and saw Zoe there crying.


"Oh my god whats wrong?" I asked pulling her into a hug.


"C-can I sit?" she choked out.


"Yea come on." I said pulling her over to the couch.


"Zoe, are you okay?" Luke asked. She shook her head.


"What happened?" I asked.


"Me and Calum were taking a walk in the park and whatever. Then there were little kids running around everywhere and Calum said that he can't wait to have his own, and asked me if I agreed. I just nodded but didn't say anything else. Than he started getting into the conversation as we were going home and-" she cut herself off by crying so hard. Luke looked so confused but still concerned.


"Did you tell him?" I asked.


"No, but I should've, I just couldn't." she cried.


"I'm so confused." Luke cut in.


"But what happened after?" I said ignoring Luke.


"We just got back to our house and I locked myself in our room and started sobbing. I just ran away when he asked what's wrong and now he thinks he did something." she finished.


"What's going on?" Luke asked.


"Luke, I c-" she was cut off by a knock on the door.


I ran up and opened it to see it was Calum.


"Zoe what's going on?" he asked running right past me and to her side.


She shook her head spans tarted crying even more.


"Did I do something wrong?" he asked sadly.


"Calum you didn't do anything. But I have." she said.


"Zoe you didn't do anything." I said tears filling my eyes.


"What the hell is going on?" Luke asked raising his voice.


"I'd like to know the same." Calum said.


"I've been keeping something from you for about two months now." Zoe said sadly. "And I just don't know how you're gonna react." she added. "But I feel like when I tell you you're gonna leave me." she sobbed.


"I would never." he said and hugged her. "But you have to tell me what's going on." he added.


"Calum, I-I can't have, k-kids." she said quietly and started sobbing louder.


Luke's eyes widened and Calum's filled with tears, along with mine.


"W-what?" he stuttered.


"I didn't wanna hurt you." she whispered. "I'm sorry." she whispered again.


He stayed there quiet and didn't move.


"How'd you find out?" he spoke up.


She regained herself and started talking normally.


"Well, I would've ended up having one actually." she chuckled, me and Luke laughed a little as Calum's cheeks went red. "So, I started to feel the symptoms and everything so I took a test, but it was negative. I went to the doctors because I was feeling pretty shitty. They told me I was feeling the symptoms because I could've been pregnant but I wasn't able to, it was confusing but yeah." she said and wiped the tears falling from her cheeks.


"B-but why?" Calum asked.


"Remember that kidney transplant I had a few years back." she asked and we nodded. "Well apparently, something went wrong causing more surgery than I needed, and it kinda messed with the system." she said sadly. "That's why I wasn't feeling the greatest after." she sighed.


"I'm so sorry." Luke said.


Calum stayed quiet.


"I love you Zoe, this won't change anything." he assured. "We could always adopt, even though it technically won't be ours, we'll still love him or her like our own." he said.


"I know, but it won't be the same." she sighed.


"The topic about having kids has come up twice to day." Luke chuckled.


"What?" Zoe asked.


"We might ry for another one." I smiled.


"Aw another Hemmings baby!" Calum laughed, then sniffled.


I felt really bad for them two, but at least Calum knows now.
