This Love

"L-Liana." I choked out, frozen at the door.


"I'm so sorry." Liana sobbed out, collapsing onto the floor.


I ran over to her and sat down next to her, pulling her body onto me. I didn't care if her blood was getting all over me, she needed someone right now.


"6 years clean, gone." Liana whispered, nuzzling her head into my chest.


"Baby girl, I don't care, I just can't see you like this, I hate it." I sighed, letting a tear fall from my eye.


"Everything was perfect for us until my dad visited that one day, I should've known that things were too perfect." Tears were streaming down her cheeks.


"It's been a crazy year hasn't it?" I looked back at all the events this past year, it sure was crazy.


Flashback 1 (A/N some of the flash backs were not included in chapters)


Liana's making me pick up Olivia so here I was just casually waiting outside her classroom.


Soon, the door opened and the teacher started calling kids out.


"Are you Olivia's dad?" the teacher asked. She eyed me for a second probably thrown off because of all the tattoos.


"Um yes. What did she do?" I chuckled.


"No no no, she was an angel!" she assured. "But we did a little performance thing during our music session and she sang a solo. Your daughter does sing very well!" she said.


"Oh thank you!" I said and fiddled with my fingers.


Flashback 2


"Luke?" he said curiously.


I couldn't find the words to speak. I was absolutely shocked.


"What the fuck are you doing in my house!" I yelled, covering Olivia's ears and holding her to me as tight as I possibly could.


"Now what kind of welcome is t-"


"Why are you here?" I gritted through my teeth. "Go to your room." I mouthed to Olivia who made no hesitation to run right up.


"You know. It occurred to me that I never actually got to meet my granddaughter. So you know, I just thought it would be nice to stop by and say hello." he said casually.


"She will never be your granddaughter. And you will never be welcome here." I said.


"I don't understand how my daughter married some sick ass fuck like you." he smirked. "Look all at all that you've done to yourself-"


"Shut the fuck up!" I yelled.


Flashback 3


"Luke!" Liana shouted from upstairs.


"Yes?!" I replied, not feeling the need to get up from the couch.


"Just come up here!" She shouted, anxious about something.


I sighed before getting up off the couch and running upstairs. Liana was smiling like an idiot into the bathroom mirror.


"You look happ-"


"Look!" She exclaimed, sticking a pregnancy test in my face.


I took a good look at it, and saw the positive sign.


"Oh my god." I choked out, pulling Liana into my arms and holding her as tightly as I possibly could.


Flashback 4


"So what's going on here?" I asked the doctor, who was eyeing the screen.


Liana looked up to me, and held my hand tightly.


"There's......two." The doctor furrowed her eyebrows.


"Twins?!" Liana exclaimed, earning a shush and a chuckle from the doctor and I.


"Unless my eyes are deceiving me, than yes, twins."


Flashback 5


I was tired, but really didn't feel like going to sleep. Liana was putting Olivia to bed at the moment, but I could guarantee that she was also tired.


Maybe the TV will keep me from falling asleep.


But once I turned it on, the news channel read "Innocent man stabbed unexpectedly in the back of a bar in downtown Sydney".


And on that screen, I saw four of my best friends. The one with the colored hair was on the floor, blood pouring out of his leg.


"Oh my god." I choked out.


Flashback 6


We stayed for a while until I wanted to tell Emily about everything that happened.


"I'll be right back." I said to everyone, bringing Emily outside the hospital with me.


"Please tell me." She begged.


"I will." I said. "So basically, Ashton used to- oh my god." I said dropping my water bottle into the floor and my eyes widening.


"What?" Emily asked obviously confused.


"Look." I pointed to a group of teens and a few adults covered in tattoos hanging around by the small alleyway close to the hospital.


"Wait, is that the girl Skylar you guys have been seeming to mention lately?" Emily asked pointing to the young adult with her bright red hair.


"It is." I said now breathing heavily.


"I know I was drunk that night, but I know I saw people in the woods. What if-" she cut herself off shaking at the thought.


"I don't know." I responded, utterly confused with what's currently going on.


Flashback 7


Interrupting the nice moment, there was a loud and harsh knock on the door.


The room went silent as the knocking continued. Mostly everyone went pale as it just got louder and louder.


"Um, is someone gonna..." My voice trailed off.


"Let's just all go down." Ashton suggested.


Nods flowed throughout the room as we all exited to go downstairs.


Olivia clung onto me and Luke tightly, probably very afraid of the harsh knocks that have not stopped. I fiddled with my necklace and kept looking glancing down at Olivia.


"It's more than one person." Calum whispered looking through the small eyehole on the door.


"Who?" Luke asked.


"I don't know, but they look like teenagers, there only like four of them." Calum responded.


He slowly opened the door revealing four teens looking about 18 standing there with anxious faces.

I ran to my phone that was sitting on the countertop of the kitchen and began typing away. I sighed inwardly and looked up.


"Guys, think about it. Skylar's sudden appearance and greeting all of us, moving incredibly close to one of us, Michael getting stabbed, the sudden gunshots reported, but only happening near us." I stopped talking for a second. "Then there's those kids acting so suspicious, and the knife! It's kind of obvious, there's a gang roaming Sydney and they want something to do with us."


Flashback 8


"Those four kids, they're being lead by Liana's father." Skylar sighed.


"But I'm confused, what do they want with us?" I asked.


"Dimitri wants her, he already has Leona and Angelica." Skylar looked like she was on the verge of tears. "And at first, I helped them get to you guys, and I'm so sorry for that. Even sorry can't cut it." She looked down and gulped.


The best thing to do was go stop them before Liana had the twins, and that's what we were gonna do.


Flashback 9


"I just want you to know that I love you so much, and that I always will." Liana said looking down, but her chin was lifted up with my hand.


"I love you too Liana. And I'm gonna try my best for you, I just don't want to ruin anything between us." I quieted down for the last part.


Liana sighed before speaking.


"I think we're just too distracted to realize that all we ever wanted is right here. This love is all I want and all I need, I don't know what I would do without you, my life is changed because of you. You mean everything to me, I don't think you'll ever understand how much I love you. But no matter what happens, we'll always have this love"


"This love." I nodded.


"No matter what?" Liana stated, making it sound like a question.


"No matter what." I assured before interlocking pinkies with her and kissing her forehead.

We all soon made a run for it. But I came to my senses at the sharp pain that went through my leg.


"Agh!" I shouted as I fell to the ground.


"Luke?!" Everybody almost shouted at the same time.


Blood was pouring out of my leg and my vision was disappearing. I felt light headed and couldn't stay awake any longer.


"Tell Liana I love her." I whispered as everything went black.


Flashback 10


"He's cute." I smiled, the smile wouldn't leave my face, and I almost forgot about the pain in my leg for a second.


"It's Dylan." Calum said, tears filling his eyes. "Your little boy." He choked out.


"How long was I asleep?" I was confused, this was all happening to early.


"Only a few hours." Calum replied.


"He's two months premature." Tears were already streaming down my face, but then I realized something. "Desiree! Where's Desiree?!" I shouted slightly too loud.


Calum let out a sob before lightly hitting his head against the wall on the other side of the hallway. He shook his head repeatedly and let out more sobs.


"Her heart failed while she was still inside Liana, they managed to get Dylan out quick enough before his did too." His voice was hard to understand, but I knew he implied that my baby girl wasn't alive.


"She's d-dead." I choked out, my lap now soaking from tears that drizzled down my face.


"Zoe said that Liana kept bleeding and bleeding, she lost so much blood that she went unconscious. Her hear rate isn't what they consider normal so they keep giving her medicine to keep her asleep." Calum explained. I wish I could've been there for Liana in that situation, but I was too busy beating up and shooting people.


"Can I hold Dylan?" I choked out.


"Not yet, he was just put in there less than an hour ago. They'll let you sometime later today, but you can't hold him for that long of a time." Calum explained.


I simply nodded at that, I could feel no emotions at this point, it was like I was a robot.


My little Desiree was no longer on this earth, and I never even got to meet her.
