Night Changes

Apartment

''Okay, we can finally leave.''Madison grabs my hand and pulls me towards the door. A duffel bag on her shoulder as we walk out the huge building.

''Um, where are going?'' I ask.

''Eliza told me to take you to your apartment.'' She informs me and continues walking, still holding my hand. Gina was right. Sticks like glue..

I roll my eyes as she pushes me out the front door.
''Get us a ride.''She mumbles and shoves me towards the road. Demanding. Like most girls.

I wave to a yellow car and it pulls to me and comes to a stop. I open the door, but before I could even think about getting in, Madison slides it. I sigh to myself and get in after her. She sits there on her phone, typing past as she stares at the lite up screen.

''What time is it?''I ask her lightly.

''Almost 9 p.m..'She mumbles.I nod gently and she continues to ignore me.

''Where to?''The man says and looks in the mirror at me. I open my mouth, but of course, Madison beats me to it.

I allow her to tell the man the address of my apartment. I roll my eyes again and I lean back against the seat. She does too. But her eyes stay glued to the phone screen.

Typical.

It was a short ride from the building. We arrived in no time at all. We stop and she hops out. I sigh and open the door after paying the man. He nods, thanking me, and drives off once I shut the door.

I stand beside her as she stares at the phone screen again.We stand by the door.

What?

Does she expect me to open the door.

I was right.

I open the door for her. She walks in and almost bumps into this older lady. I apologize to her. She just tells me its okay. I catch up with Madison, who's already at the elevators. I grab her wrist and she turns around and jerks free.

''What?''She spats.

''You need to slow down. You almost ran into that old woman.'I inform her.

''She was in my way.''She mumbles.

''No, you were in hers.'' I correct her.

''Shut up.''She says and looks away from me. She presses the button and we wait. This was supposed to be fun, but really, it seems its a fucking nightmare.
