Rose's POV
I wake up to the sunlight that was showing through the window. I groan as I flip my body over in my bed, only to be met with another sleeping body. Viper laid beside me, and for a moment I smiled, until I realized that if Nick saw us, I don't think either of us would make it to see another night.
"Viper" I shake his body, in hopes he wakes up.
"Hmm" he grumbles
"You need to leave" I say
"Hate me already sweetheart?" he asks
"No, but we wouldn't want to be caught now would we?" I ask, a smirk playing on my face
"Fuck him and his rules" he says before pulling me into a kiss.
"Viper" I whine
"Fine, I'll leave." he sighs "So, are you feeling better?" he asks, and I know he is only stalling his departure.
"Yes, and I will tell you what it is when it the situation is Nick proof" I tell him, shooing him from my room, him mumbling something along the lines of 'pushy' as I did so.
I know one of the two gangs won't be very happy about the decision that I have made, and they will be even more furious when I inform them that my decision is final. I wasn't going to turn from this even when things get rough. I wasn't that Rose anymore, and I am perfectly fine with it. People change and no matter what others think, it's for the better one way or the other.
I quickly put on a sweater to cover the sports bra that I already had on when I fell asleep before pulling my hair up into a bun. No body mentioned any assignments today so I didn't see a reason to get dressed up.
"Rose" I hear someone call for me
"Yeah?" I ask, not turning around as I did so
"I wanted to apologize for my sister. You know the whole thing that happened didn't really go in her favor last night, but she can be a real brat" I turn to see Matt scratching the back of his head.
"It's fine. As long as she let off some steam. I'll get her back later anyways" I say
"Okay, look, I don't like seeing my sister mad, but I also don't like witnessing the reason she is mad in the first place. Just ease up on her" he tells me, and I simply nod. Knowing the little information of Matt, I know he is being serious. He cares for his family, and anyone with eyes was able to see that his sister means a lot to him.
"I'll try" I agree
"Good, so, what were you and Viper talking about last night?" he asks
"I don't know what you're talking about" I instantly reject his question
"Bullshit. I am right next to you guys. I heard you two." he says
"You're such a snoop" I accuse
"Guilty. Now spill" he demands
"Fine. I recently got back into contact with one of my ex-gang members, and he sort of snapped at me. He basically told me to choose between Serpents and them. Viper was comforting me and promising something" I tell him
"Not to hurt you, I know" he nods, and I look at him with wide eyes "The walls are very thin" he excuses himself for his actions.
"Sure" I shake my head at him
"So, what decision did you go with?" he asks
"The right one" I smile
"That's all I'm getting?" he asks
"For now. I'm making the announcement later." I tell him
"Fine" he huffs. I begin to leave, but he grabs my arm
"Wait, where are you going?" he asks me
"I need to talk to someone and it has to happen now" I say
"Good luck getting out. Nick is already up and is on everyone like no other today" he says
"Really? He chooses today to act like some overprotective motherlike and shit" I huff
"I guess so" he says
"Can you do me a huge favor, Matt?" I say, and he automatically knows what I mean by the look his eyes are giving me
"Oh no, it's like you want me dead or something" he starts to shake his head.
"Please Matt. I know it can end badly-" I begin but he cuts me off
"End badly? That's all you have to say about my possible death?" he asks
"Let me finish. It's really important, please just distract him as I sneak out" I beg him, and I even hold my hands together and give him a pouty face.
"Fine. Fine, whatever. Just hurry up alright" he gives in
"Thank you so much Matt" I say
"Yeah yeah" he sighs, walking out the door, and I watch from the semi closed door.
I know Nick won't be the only one angry about my sudden disappearance, but I needed to do this, whether they understand or not.
"Nick, come over here for a second!" I hear Matt yell for Nick from what seemed like the room down the hall. I hear Nick walk over and I take this chance and run towards the front door, and I was even more thankful that Viper is a lazy ass and probably went back to sleep in his own room.

I walk to the bar that I know Luke always goes to, and if what Michael was right when we spoke on the phone, I will find him. I just hoped he wasn't too drunk to remember this later.
"What the hell do you mean I can't have a fucking drink?!" I hear an all too familiar voice roar even before I am fully inside the building.
"Lower your voice. You have been coming here way too much and there are too many complaints about you" I hear the employee explain
"Fuck them! I can't even have one drink?" Luke asks, and when I see him, his eyes are filled with rage
"No, Luke. I'm going to need you to leave" they tell him
"Fuck you!" he spat
He turns and the second he sees me, his eyes grow soft, but he recovers pretty quickly.
"We need to talk" I tell him, and he walks past me, and I stand there, not knowing if I should follow or not.
"Are you coming or not?" he growls, and that's when I get my answer.
When we get outside of the bar, he stops and turns to face me.
"Michael said he spoke to you" he speaks up, though he refuses to look at me.
"Yeah, he did" I nod
"I don't appreciate you making my members help you out with something they shouldn't even be apart of." he says
"I came to speak to you, not for you to snap at me, got it. I could be with Viper, but I decided to come here" I hiss
"Than hurry up and say whatever the hell you came here for!" he growls
"Michael made me choose between Serpents and you guys." I start
"Well?" he asks
"I had to think about what both you guys and the Serpents have put me through" I continue
"For fuck's sake, Rose, just say it" he says, impatience lacing his voice
"Serpents" I blurt out my final decision, not knowing any other way to rip off the bandage than fast and simple
"So after everything we've done, what I've done, you run right back to the fuckers that were the source of your pain?" he hisses, stepping closer to me
"You were the one to hurt me, not them. They made me a better person, not you! All you ever fucking cared about was the state of the gang, and at least Viper cares about what I think and lets me call some shots!" I argue
"Since when does this have to do with Viper?! Are you two together or something. I don't get it" he asks, and when I simply stare at him, he gets the answer.
"Well shit" he says
"Luke-" I start but he refuses to let me finish
"No, save it. I'll be happy to let your sister know that you're with that asshole." he says
"I never wanted any of this! You know that, but I made due with whatever the hell I had! Ashton basically left me on the curb, and I got a better offer! Both guy wise and gang wise" I hiss
"Great, than Rose got her happy ending!" he says with as much sarcasm as he could muster up.
"Why do you even care so much?!" I yell
"Because I still fucking love you! And I'll be damned before I let the son of a bitch take you from me!" he says before leaving me alone.

"So, you had something to tell us, Walker?" Nick asks, and everyone's
"Well, I recently got back into contact with Michael Clifford, and he made me choose. Serpents, or you guys" I start
"Oh, I see where this is going, well, we'll miss-" Tayla starts but I cuts her off
"Don't get your hopes up, little miss bitch, I'm staying" I say with a smirk
"Fuck you" she mouths as everyone else looks relieved.
"Glad you're staying, Rose" Viper says with a wink
"The old gang was the first chapter and it came to an end, this new one is simply beginning" I shrug.
It's honestly hard to believe that almost a year ago, Lilac and I were shy girls running from our problems and now, I'm not even speaking to her or the ones who picked us up from the hell we've escaped. Now, I'm working side by side with that hell, and the darkness never felt so good.
