Everything changes

Leah's POV
The day in school went by slowly, as always. It wasn't that bad though, since we were having a few hours to study whatever we felt like we needed. Currently I was sitting in the library, on the sofa, with my earplugs streaming music and my feet resting on Leo's lap. Leo is my twin brother, and also one of my best friends. It's hard to believe how close twins are if you're not one, but we have this really weird bond. One time, at preschool, home in Sweden, I was sitting in class while my brother had a break. Suddenly, I had this superstrong feeling that he was hurt in some way, I just knew it. I quickly ran to my teacher, and explained the situation, asking for permission to leave class. The teacher just laughed in my face and told me it seemed like I just wanted to miss the test we were about to have. I believe my exact answering line to this was: "Okay fine, but I promise you that we hear something about Leo before this class ends".( in Swedish, obviously). And of course, as I had predicted, ten minutes later my teachers phone started ringing, she raised her eyebrows and looked at me, and turns out it was my mother on the phone, saying that Leo had fallen off the swing, broken his leg, and was now located at the hospital with the rest of my family. Now if that wasn't weird, I don't know what will be.
Anyway, I should probably tell you a little about my family. So, basically me and my brother are from a country called Sweden. No it's not snow there all year, and NO, polar bears are not found in the country. If you didn't think that about Sweden, I'm sorry, but it's all I've been hearing, jokes or not, from everyone around here. Well, we're from a really spread out family, consisting out of five family members. My father, Eric, who is a doctor (not like Ross Geller in Friends, but an actual doctor) is a really sarcastic person, always stating the obvious and so on. My mother, Ella, who is a car designer is a very sweet and caring human being, which can lead to complications sometimes considering I live in a different country. Leo and I also have an older brother, Aaron, who for the time being is living in Australia. Actually I'm not quite sure exactly what he's doing down there but three things are for sure:
1. I really miss him, he's always been one of the people I can talk to about anything and everything, we usually Skype at least twice a week.
2. He's coming to visit us in about one month, I couldn't be more excited!
3. I'm gonna be jealous to death of that tan he'll have when he comes to London... Especially since he and Leo got all the genes filled with pigment, I swear, I don't even get as tanned as they are in the winter, when I've been sunbathing for a whole summer. I'm not saying I don't tan, it's just that they really get dark in five minutes (okay that's a bit exaggerating, but you get it!).
Like I said before, my family is really spread out. Aaron is in Australia, Leo and I live in London, and mom and dad are still staying in Sweden. I wonder how long that will last though, they've always talked about moving to our house in Italy permanently. Most of my relatives live in Sweden, but also a few of them have moved to places such as the States, Russia and even Japan ( I know right?). Sometimes it feels like I will never see my relatives again.
- Leah! Leah! Leah! Leo said and snapped his fingers two centimetres from my face. I got, I must say, quite harshly, dragged back to reality.
- Yeah?
- What's wrong with you? Did you just sleep with your eyes open or what?
- Yes of course, I just learned a new party trick, I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes at my brother. He just smirks a little, and telling me the lesson's over, we are free to go.
When we are sitting in our car, we just chat a little about everything, this is kind of a ritual we do everyday. And yeah, for those of you who is wondering about the car thing, both of us just got our driving license, and when we did our parents thought it would be a wonderful idea if we shared a car, so they actually bought one. Sometimes people tell me we're spoiled, but I think the difference between being spoiled and not is if you're thankful of what you get. Spoiled kids just expect their parents to buy them things, a lot of the time not even saying thank you. I'm really thankful for everything I get, and we kids always offer to give mum and dad money for it, but they refuse to take it.
As we get to our house, the first thing I do is running upstairs to my room, changing into yoga pants and a hoodie. I don't think I would last a day, if I couldn't have that type of clothes on. As I walk out of my room, I hear the sound of the doorbell. I quickly run downstairs and open the door, just to find a guy standing there with at least 15 red roses.
- Hello miss, are you by any chance Leah Wiik? The boy says a bit awkward.
- Hello there, yes that would be me! I answer, trying to figure out what's going on. I peek behind the guy, to see a car with a sign saying "Take the relationship to another level, call flowerdelivery for evel". I have a hard time not laughing out loud at the cheesy line, someone obviously thought it was very funny changing the word ever to evel, just to make the line rhyme.
- Okay, then these are for you. I need you to sign these forms for me..
As I lay in my bed that night I wonder what the hell that was. Who would send me flowers, without even leaving a card? A secret admirer is excluded, Leo is the goodlooking one out of the two of us. I'd better fall asleep now, or I'll never be able to go up at three o'clock, when I usually go out for a run. Thinking about who sent the flowers will have to wait till tomorrow, they will still be standing there by then.
