Chapter four
As I fell on top of him, I felt something hard. I opened my eyes and they fell to where my hands were, I blushed as I pushed myself up from his chest
“Sorry “ I mumbled.
He stood up and held out his hand to help me up.
“It’s all right” he smiled as he pulled me up.
“Uhm…. So where are we exactly?” I asked as I took in my surroundings.
It was dark, and there was so many trees here, wait what am I saying? Of course theirs trees here it’s a fucking forest for crying out loud. Most girls would be scared of being a lone with a complete stranger, especially out in the dark in the forest.
“Erm… well the uhm… the car… kind of…. Ran out of gas?” he said as he avoided my eyes.
“WHAT!?” My eyes widened in fear. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why did you lie to me?”
“Well I’m telling you now aren’t I?” He chuckled. “And I didn’t lie to you either Evelyn,” he said as he looked at me in my eyes.
I quickly looked away. I bet I seriously look like shit right now, dammit.
“Evelyn you have nothing to worry about love, I promise,” he said, I can hear and already see the smile on his face when he said that.
“Lynn,” I said out of annoyance.
“What?”
“Lynn, I told you to call me by Lynn”
There was a long pause, and I heard him breath, but I kept my gaze to ground.
“No”
“What do you mean no?”
“No as in I’m not calling by that, I like your birth name, not your nickname”
“Well I don’t,” I fought back.
“Evelyn I –“
“Lynn”
“Evelyn”
“Lynn”
“Evelyn”
“Lynn!”
“Evelyn!”
“Dammit Harry why can’t you just call me by Lynn,” I sighed.
“I already told you Eve-”
“LYNN!”
“Fine! Fine I’ll call you by Lynn,” he empathized my name.
“Good” I smiled as I turned my gaze towards him too be met by those gorgeous green eyes of his.
We were a few steps away from each other.
“Well at least I got you smiling” he chuckled.
Then I frowned and turned my back towards him.
**Harry’s P.O.V
Now what did I say? I sighed and just stared at her back, what is she thinking about?
I was about to say something but decided not to. I just kept quiet and continue to look at her as she was taking in the environment, I guess she never been out in the woods before? As I let her space out, I went ahead and called a tow truck to pick up my car. When I hung up, Lynn began to speak, finally.
“Why?”
“What do you mean?” I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
“I mean why did you went back?” she asked as her back remained facing me.
“Oh, because that cunt punched me, I wasn’t going to let him go like that”
“Jake”
“My name is Harry not Jake” I said still confused.
“I know, I mean his name is Jake”
“Oh”
“Yeah, and I meant, why did you go back for… me?”
“Because he slapped you!”
“He’s done worst before, but I’m saying why did you go back? Why didn’t you just leave? Instead of getting involve?”
“Because you-“
“Worthless? Can’t stand up for myself? Because I’m a girl? The weak gender?” She said as she turned around facing me.
Each word that came out of her mouth stabbed me like a knife, is this how she feels about her? Weak and worthless?
“I wasn’t going to say that Evelyn”
“But you were thinking it, weren’t you? And stop calling me that!” she yelled as she glared at me.
What’s wrong with her? Why is she acting this way? First she was all smiley and giggling then she gets all sad and now she’s angry.
“Is she bipolar?”
“I’m not bipolar!”
“Shit,” I mumbled under my breath, did I seriously say that out loud? Nice going Styles, the little voice inside my head retorted at me.
“Sorry I didn’t meant for you to hear that, I was talking to myself”
“Yeah, sure whatever,” she spat. “Seriously where the hell are we?” she asked as she started to calm down a bit.
I chuckled as she turned around looking at the scenery again.
“Well lets find out” I grinned. “Shall we?” I took her hand in mine and locked them. It took me by surprise that she didn’t snatch it away for me, but I was also glad she didn’t.
I was about to say something, but the sound of a twig breaking stopped me.
“W-what was that? Harry?” She turned to face me again and panic spread quickly through her face and she began to shake.
“It was probably just a bunny or something,” I said as I gave her a reassurance smile, but it didn’t work.
“Harry w-what if” she paused as her panicked face turned into a frighten face.
“What if… what if it’s him?”
“I strongly doubt he’s here, he doesn’t know that we are here so calm down”
“Yeah your probably right” she said as her features started to calm down.
“I know I’m right, now c’mon lets start walking before it gets darker” I say as I pulled her and began to walk deeper into the woods.
“What about your car?” she asked as her eyes were wondering around.
“I already called a tow truck and it’s already on its way to pick it up” I said as I snugged her closer to me.
“Then why don’t we wait for him/her to come?” she asked as she stopped walking.
“Because something tells me that you’ve never been out in the woods before and I want to show you what you’ve been missing out,” I grinned.
“Ok” she sighed
We continued walking for about half an hour or more. Then we heard a twig break again. But this time, it didn’t bother her, not until we heard footsteps.
“Harry, I’m getting scared” she said as her grip tighten.
“It’s ok love, don’t be scared, it’s just a bunny or squirrel or something. I’m here I’ll protect you” I whispered in her ear.
Then I saw what looked like a human figure, and instantly started getting scared as well.
“Erm… E- I mean Lynn”
“Hmm?”
“Walk faster, there’s a nearby house here and we are almost there,” I whispered, trying to keep my voice calm for her not to suspect something.
“Ahh, so that’s why we didn’t wait for the tow truck to come,” she smiled.
Once I heard the water stream I knew we were almost there.
“Lynn we are almost their just twenty more minutes and we’ll be there.
“Good because it’s really dark now and I can barely see you now,” she laughed.
As we continue to walk for five more minutes, I saw the figure again from a distance. We hear footsteps again, each step becoming louder and louder.
"Their you are, Lynn you know you can't escape from me"

This story is one of the most confusing stories ever. With the flashbacks just being italic and then all the dreams. And now it's over, and i don't even know what to think right now. I'm kinda stunned and didn't realize this story was over. I feel like so much more could happen, like its unsolved, all our questions are unanswered. It's really confusing, but still a great book :)
