"Mommy, mommy I made a new bestfriend by the river!" I said, jumping into my mothers arms. "Well where is he?" My mother laughs as she catches me and lifts me in the air. "He said he is coming soon, he told me to give you this." I smile handing my mother the small note. As soon as my mother reads the note her face turns as pale as a ghost and she starts to panic. "Sweety who gave you this note."
My mother said in a shaky voice as she gently puts me down."Mommy what's wrong?" I frown as I notice a tear slides down her cheek. "We need to leave now." she says as she grabs my arm and runs through the back door. I frown with confusion when I see my Mom start to call someone on the telephone. "Hello, I need a taxi to 5234 Greenville St. immediatly. Can you book a flight to London. I don't care how much it cost! Book one now." She says in a rush.
"Mommy?" I ask in a worried tone. She runs upstairs and returns a few moments later with a bag. Is mommy leaving me? I began to wonder. Just before I began to ask her The doorbell rings and she opens it to reveal a cab driver. "Here sweety, You need to go with the nice man." She says with a small smile. She hands the bag to the man along with a letter. "Here, Give this to him before he boards the plane, it explains everything.
Please make sure he arrives there safely, He's only seven." She says as she begins to cry. Then I finally understand what was happening, I am the one who is leaving. I burst into tears, and began to grab ahold of my mothers leg. "Baby It's Okay." She coo's She quickly puts me in the back seat of the cab before giving me a kiss on my forehead. "Don't worry my little Harold this is only for a little while, right now it's not safe for you here." she says before the cab pulls off. Tears began streaming down my face as I watch my mother get smaller and smaller as the cab drives me away.
I wake up in a pool of sweat panting hard. I look at the clock beside me and seen it was 3 am. It's been the third time this week. Sighing, I lay back down trying to close my eyes and fall back asleep.
