Elevator Love

“Hold the elevator!!” Someone shouted as 4 boys rushed into the small elevator with me and frantically pushed the close door button until the doors shut closed and it started going up. One of the boys quickly hit the emergency stop button and the elevator came to a sudden halt.

“You know you usually press that when there is an emergency…” You said to them.

“Sorry, really so sorry, but we have to. We have a huge group of teenage girls chasing us, and we can’t go anywhere until our security gets here and takes care of it.” One of them said as they turned around.

“Oh my gosh. You’re 5 Seconds of Summer. That would explain the group of girls then.” I said recognizing them as they turned around. I was a fan of them, but in all honestly I wasn’t the biggest fan. I, however, did really like them and their music.

“Hi” They all said slightly embarrassed. After all, they did lock me in an elevator with them without asking permission.

“I’m Noel by the way. I figured since I know your names, you should know mine.” I said reaching out to shake their hands.

“So you’re a fan?” Calum asked me

“Yeah, I am. I like you’re music. Honestly, I am not the biggest fangirl of yours however.”

“Why is that?” Luke asked

“I haven’t gone full fangirl on you yet. I like your music, and I think you guys are cute, but I haven’t really read up on things about you yet. Like, looked up your favorite colors, or facts about you. Nothing like that.” I explained.

“Well, nice to know you think we’re cute.” Ashton replied with a wink. I didn’t even realize I had totally admitted to them that I thought they were attractive. I slightly started to blush. They probably hear it a thousand times a day so I didn’t let it get to me too much.

“Don’t worry, you’re pretty cute yourself.” Luke said noticing me start to blush which made me blush more. Damn.

“So, just out of curiosity, what girl are you? Like, are you a Luke girl, Ashton girl, Michael girl, or Calum girl?” Ashton asked me curiously taking me back by surprise.

“Um, well I don’t know. I would have to do my research to figure that out.” I said earning a slight laugh from the boys.

“Well while we are stuck here, why don’t we all just talk and get to know each other and then you can tell us who you decide is your favorite.” Ashton suggested.

“Okay.” I said laughing nervously a little bit “How long will we be in here? Any idea?”

“I just got a text saying that it is going to be about another 2 hours. The crowd got crazy and there aren’t enough security to get it under control yet.” Luke announced.

“Sorry to get you stuck in here with us. Honestly an elevator isn’t the most ideal place to be stuck..” Calum apologized to me.

“It’s okay. It’s not like I had much going on today anyway.” I told him.

We all laughed and talked for another 2 hours until the boys received a text that it was safe for them to come up and get out of the elevator. The boys were really cool, cooler than I thought. I got along with them really well, and I even got them to sing some songs for me. They each followed me on twitter as well so we could keep in touch slightly. You don’t just spend 2 hours with someone in an elevator then say “See ya. Have a great life.” and never talk to them again. It's called manners.

“Well, it seems like it is all safe now. We can let this elevator go on it’s way up now.” Michael said looking at his phone.

“Well, as much fun as this has been, and as much as I have really enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you Noel, I am ready to get out of this small hell hole.” Luke said standing up from where he was previously sitting. He went over and pushed the button causing the elevator to continue it’s journey up.

“So, now that you have gotten the chance to know us, who is your favorite?” Ashton asked me before the elevator reached the floor.

“The decision is too hard, I can’t do it. You are just all too cute and too sweet.” I said as the elevator dinged signaling that we and reached the 8th floor of the hotel.

“Well that’s too bad. Guess you will just have to do more research and let us know another time.” Calum said as they all started filing out of the elevator. Luke was first, then Calum, then Ashton, and Michael was last. They all said goodbye and hugged me when they passed.

“Just for the record, I am a total Noel guy now.” Michael whispered in my ear when he hugged me. We pulled away and he winked at me before walking out, which in return earned some slight blushing from me. I waved goodbye to them as the doors shut. Holy crap!! Did that really just happen? I just spend 2 hours with 5 Seconds of Summer! We had previously discussed that we weren’t going to tell anyone I was stuck with them, for fear of receiving hate or being crowded from everyone. As far as anyone knew, they were in the elevator by themselves. It took a lot for me not to tweet out what happened, but I kept quiet. Of course I would be telling my best friend, however. Michael even winked at me and said he was a “Noel guy”? He probably meant nothing by that, just that he thought I was cool. We did get along really well we learned, so that has to be what he meant. A guy like that doesn’t fall for a girl like me.
