Chapter Twenty-Six
Harry’s POV
Finally things were back to normal in my eyes. I had the most wonderful girl back in my life and by my side, the boys and I were back in the studio, and things with Kennedy’s business were booming. Tonight was the night I was going to ask Kennedy a serious question. It wasn’t marriage because I already knew Kennedy wasn’t ready for that step. I was going to ask her to finally move in with me. We had been together this time around six months and we were both happy with everything. Of course we fought like normal couples but this time instead of running away from the problems we talked them out after a cooling period. Things were going great. I still wanted to throw Kennedy a huge birthday party since I missed it during what I call, The Cold Period, but I knew she would kill me because she wasn’t the one to love the spotlight. I was trying to figure a way to ask her when my cell phone rang and Louis’ picture popped up.
“What’s up mate?” I asked answering the phone.
“Nothing just bored out of my mind,” he huffed, “Eleanor left me this morning and wouldn’t tell me where she was going.”
“Well that’s weird,” I said, “but Kennedy hasn’t answered any of my phone calls either today. She sent me a text telling me she was alive and well but other than that nothing.”
“I feel the girls are up to something because Zayn, Louis, and Niall are saying the same thing,” Louis said.
“Well how about we do some detective work then,” I grinned, “We should have a right to know where the girls are.”
“We’ll be right over mate,” Louis said, “Everyone’s at my flat.”
“Okay,” I said and hung up the phone.
So maybe the question was going to have to be postponed until later. I did find it odd that Kennedy hadn’t given me much information about her day like she usually does but I just figured she was super busy with summer weddings. I then looked at the date, it was Liam’s birthday. I called him earlier in the day to tell him happy birthday and I promised him we would go out to the pub sometime this weekend when we were done with the studio. I smirked having a good idea what was going on so I picked up my cell phone and called Kennedy. Surprisingly she picked up after the third ring.
“Took you long enough to figure out,” she laughed as a greeting.
“How come you didn’t tell the boys about this surprise birthday party for Liam?” I asked.
“Because Lou can’t keep a secret to save his life Haz,” Kennedy laughed.
“Finally one of them figured it out!” I heard I believe it was Cara’s voice.
“I’m shocked Liam hasn’t figured it out,” she told me, “but then again Dani gave him a concrete excuse.”
“And how come you guys didn’t do that?” I asked.
“Because then you would all get suspicious like you all are now,” she giggled, “But don’t worry just lead them on a wild goose chase but bring him to your boys favorite club around eight and tell them that we’ll you all there.”
“How come I never got an awesome party like this?” I asked pouting.
“Because it was during our Cold Period as you call it,” she replied, “Don’t worry you’ll get a good party when you’re birthday comes around next year. Bye love I have to go. Love you.”
She then hung up and I just laughed and shook my head. Kennedy was a handful sometimes but that’s what I loved about her. I put my cell phone down on the coffee table when the boys barged into my flat.
“So what work have you done without us mate?” Liam asked walking in and sitting down next to me.
“Well Kennedy called me being really strange,” I said, “All she told me was that we had to be at the club at eight and that the girls would meet us there.”
“That’s really weird,” Liam said and frowned a bit, “I just wanted to hang out with everyone for my birthday. Danielle said she had to run and do some things for her mum and would be right back but she hasn’t been home all day.”
“I’m sorry mate,” I said feeling really badly right now because Liam thought that everyone was avoiding him, “Maybe the girls are going to take you out tonight that’s why they want you at the club.”
“Maybe,” he said smiling lightly, “So shall we go drive around and try and find the girls so they can explain themselves?”
“Shot gun!” Niall and Louis exclaimed at the same time and rushed out to the car.
Zayn, Liam, and I all laughed as we stood up from the couch in my living area and we walked out of my flat. Liam walked towards the car but Zayn stayed behind to help me lock up the flat.
“Perrie told me,” Zayn said, “Kennedy had her call me to tell me about the surprise birthday party for Liam tonight.”
“Well at least two of us know then,” I said a bit relieved, “I was feeling horrible when Liam was saying that he thought that everyone was avoiding him.”
“I know mate,” he said, “but we have to be back here at your flat around six.”
“Limo arriving at seven-thirty?” I asked knowing Kennedy’s precision.
“Did they tell you the plan?” Zayn asked and I shook my head no.
“I just know Kennedy that well,” I said.
“Well yes,” Zayn said, “Perrie said that they’re dropping off clothes for us here to get ready.”
“Alright then,” I said, “Let’s drive around then.”
Zayn and I then headed towards my Range Rover and we all got into the car. After hours of driving around and trying to figure out where the girls were we headed back to my flat and I could tell Liam was down.
“Hey Li,” I said, “Don’t worry okay. The girls would not forget about your birthday okay? I just have a gut feeling that they’re going to pay for all of your drinks tonight at the club okay. Then they’re going to take you to whatever place for breakfast tomorrow, hell Kennedy will probably cook breakfast for you.”
“Sure,” Liam said deflated and I looked in my rearview mirror at Zayn and he nodded his head.
“Come on Liam,” he said, “Let’s go get dressed and then we can talk about a plan to get back at the girls. Andrea’s birthday is next so maybe we can get them back on her birthday.”
Zayn, Niall, and Liam then headed up to my flat while I saw that I had a missed call from Kennedy. I was about to redial her number to call her when she called me again.
“Hello beautiful,” I said.
“Change of plans,” Kennedy said and I was confused, “I couldn’t book the club so I got the next best thing.”
“Which is what?” I asked confused.
“NANDO’S!” Andrea exclaimed and I just laughed.
Niall and Andrea were perfect for each other. I wish Niall would just pop the question to her already.
“Really Nando’s?” I asked.
“They were the only place that would kindly shut down the place for the night,” Kennedy said, “It doesn’t look like our usual Nando’s. It’s really good.”
“I’ll take your word for it love,” I said, “Do you want us ready at seven-thirty?”
“Yes,” she said, “Now go get ready Styles you take forever to get ready.”
I just rolled my eyes and scoffed.
“See you soon beautiful,” I said and then hung up and walked up to the flat.
When I walked in, the boys were already playing some video games before we had to get changed. Soon we were all changed and I was trying to get everyone down to the limo (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=81992565).
“Come on guys! Kennedy is going to kill us if we’re late!” I yelled from the door.
“We’re coming, we’re coming,” Liam grumbled as they all walked out of my flat and down to the limo.
When I got down to the lobby, Liam was looking at me confused.
“Have you checked twitter?” he asked and I shook my head no.
“Check now,” he said.
I pulled my phone out and went straight to my twitter app.

I then looked up at Liam who was shocked to find the limo pulling up.
“Any ideas?” he asked looking at me.
“Get in the limo and find out Li,” I said and pushed him towards the door and everyone got in.
“Where are we going Styles?” Liam asked, “Kennedy’s keeping you in the loop.”
“I have no idea. . .” I started.
“Spill or I put up that picture. . .” Liam started but his phone started ringing.
“I find it creepy that you knew I was threatening your boyfriend,” he said looking at me and I just laughed, “Yes we’re in the limo. Where are we going? No if you don’t tell me then I’ll post that picture. . .You did what!?”
“She deleted every embarrassing photo of everyone off of Liam’s phone one day didn’t she?” Zayn asked.
“Oh yeah and she got a lot of embarrassing photos of Liam,” Niall grinned, “I helped.”
“Of course,” I said laughing as Liam hung up the phone mad.
“Your girlfriend is way too good,” Liam grumbled as the car stopped.
“Are we at Nando’s?” Niall asked as the door opened and we all got out of the car.
We when got out of the car, I looked over at Liam and his face was grinning widely because our girls were holding a giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY DIRECTION!!!! and everyone that was important to him standing behind the girls (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=81992696).
“This is. . .” Liam said shocked.
“Sorry we couldn’t get the club for you,” Kennedy said, “They wouldn’t budge on letting me rent the place tonight. They said The Wanted was paying them more money or some weird shit. So I called Nando’s and they said yes in a heartbeat!”
“This is amazing,” Liam said hugging Kennedy, “Thank you so much Kenni, girls, everyone!”
“Let’s go party!” Andrea exclaimed and everyone laughed and headed inside.
However I waited for the group to head in and I saw Kennedy standing outside waiting for me.
“So what do you think Styles?” she asked, “We did a pretty good job at fooling everyone into thinking that you had no idea or part in this.”
“We did an amazing job love,” I said pulling in for a kiss.
“You know,” she said smiling up at me, “We’ve been together six months now but it feels like a lot longer and I like that.”
“Me too,” I grinned.
“Let’s go party Styles,” she grinned and kissed my cheek, “Before they think we left to go snog or something.”
I just laughed as she grabbed my hand and dragged me into Club Nando’s.
