Crazy

Drinks and Brawls

I take a swig of my beer as Sidney goes off with her friends. For the next few minutes, I sit there and chat with Braden about random shit that comes to mind. It was a somewhat nice night out so far, especially since I was with Sidney. I’m glad I finally have her in my life, and that she’s away from that bastard. That’s how I intend to keep it. I finish off my beer and decide to get up so I can get another one at the bar. As I get up, I ask Braden if he wants another and tell him I’ll be right back after he tells me he wanted one.

I find an empty seat at the bar so I can get the drinks. After a few minutes of sitting and waiting for someone to get me a drink, a guy walks up to the bar. I tell him I want two beers and he gives me a silent nod and telling me that he’ll be back in a few with my drinks before walking off. While I wait, I glance around the club and smile when I spot Sidney standing there with a few of her girlfriends, a drink in her hand. I smile wider as her eyes lock with mine.

“Having fun?” I mouth toward her direction and smile a bit. I notice a smile widen on her face as she looks back at me. Just as she mouth’s something back, I hear the sound of beer bottles being set on the counter, which pulls me from my thoughts. I turn and look over at the guy who stood behind the bar and pay him for the beers.

After I grab our beers, I take them in each of my hands before I begin to head over to where he was so I could give him his drink. As I set the drink down, he reaches for it and thanks me before taking a sip. I give him a nod as a ‘you’re welcome’ before I start to go over to where Sidney was. I wanted to spend some time with her a bit. One of the reasons I was glad it’s the weekend, but it was Monday tomorrow and I have class early. Damn early morning lectures, I’ve always hated them.

“Hey you,” I smile as I come up to where she stood. She smiles as I walk up to where she was. I move one of my arms around her waist and pull her closer. I lean in and kiss her softly on the lips.

“H-hi,” she replies with a smile, slurring her words a bit.

“How’s your time with the girls?” I ask as I look at her in the dimly lit club.

“P-pretty g-good,” she tells me and takes a small sip of her drink she held in her hand. After doing so, she takes another drink, this time a long one. She seemed a bit tipsy, I could tell from looking in her eyes, maybe even more so.

“Might wanna slow down a bit there, love,” I tell her and set my glass down on the nearest table so I can grab hers from her. “Needed a few to I guess tell them all the shit that went down with the bastard earlier?” I question with sarcasm laced in my voice as I look at her.

All she does is nod her head and stumble a bit as I feel her tighten her arm around my torso for balance. I manage to pull her against me and whisper something in her ear. I didn’t blame her at all, I’ve done that plenty times before, over the years. And it helps for sure.

“N-no, H-Harry, j-just o-one more a-and t-then I p-promise I-I’ll s-stop,” she mutters and reaches forward to take the glass from my hand. I pull back so she can’t reach and laugh a bit as she struggles to grab it from me.

“Sorry babe but I’m cutting you off after this one,” I tell her with a small smile before I hand the glass back to her.

“Fine,” she mumbles and I smirk a bit when she pouts and crosses her arms over her chest.

She smiles widely and takes it from me hastily. I smile and take a drink of mine. We stand around for a few minutes, drink a bit and I listen as she rambles on about some nonsense to one of her friends who was standing over here, Kendall, I think. She was blonde. I soon find myself reaching for her waist so we can go sit down since I notice her become a bit wobbly on her feet as we stand. I finish off my beer and hold onto the glass as I lead Sid to a nearby booth. She sits on the hard wooden seat and I wrap a protective arm around her.

“You sure you’re alright, love? Want to head back now so you can rest? Should sleep this off,” I lean closer toward her ear so she can hear me better over the music. I look over at her as she nods her head to tell me she’s fine before leaning toward me and resting her head on my shoulder.

“N-no, I want to stay a while l-longer,” I hear her mutter softly. I tighten my arm around her and rest my hand on the small of her back as I hold her close to me in the booth. Her eyes were closed and I could tell she was out of it. I decide to order her a cold glass of water to sober her up a bit before we leave. A few minutes go by and finally, the girl comes back with the water I got for Sidney. I grab the glass and thank her before I fish for some money to pay her.

“Thanks,” she smiles before walking off. I give her a nod before I turn over to Sidney. I grab the water glass filled with ice water and bring it closer to her.

“Sid, here, got you some water, drink up, it may help,” I tell her and move some of her hair behind her ear that fell in front of her face.

“O-okay,” I hear her mutter softly and lift her head off my shoulder. I smile a bit and grab the glass and move it in front of her. She gives me a small smile and I hear her mumble a soft “thanks” before she reaches for the glass cup. I place my hand over hers to steady her a bit as she goes to take a drink. After she takes a long drink, she sets it down on the table.

“No problem, babe,” I reply.

After a few minutes, I turn to her, a small smile on my face. “Feel any better?” I ask as I move an arm to rest on her shoulder. She slowly nods her head in response.

I give her a slight nod of my head before I find myself beginning to move out the booth and reaching out for her hand. She gets to her feet and stumbles a bit. I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her into my side before the two of us begin to make our way toward the entrance of the club.

“Harry, w-where w-we going? I-I don’t w-wanna leave y-yet,” I hear Sidney ask as we make our way to the front entrance. Just as I am about to reply, I am cut off when I feel my grip loosen on Sidney’s waist and I am thrown against the wall. What the hell was going on? I turn to be met with glazed over blue eyes of an angry, and quite drunk, Chris. I smirk at his appearance; he still had his same dark bruise on his cheek that I gave him earlier, from our little brawl.

“Where the hell you think you’re going, Styles? See you’re with my girl,” he yells before bringing his bunched up fist forward to punch me. I come back with a punch and hit him in the mouth, again, with my same hand from a few hours ago. Sidney was a little ways in front of me, more alert than I thought she’d be, and I notice her tense up a bit when she notices I could feel the slight soreness in my fingers as I slam him in the jaw.

“She’s not you’re girl anymore, mate. It doesn’t really matter where the hell I’m going,” I yell at the bastard in front of me. The two of us, yet again, begin to throw punches left and right at each other. I wince as he takes a hit at my eye. Fucking bastard.

“Damn it, stop guys!! I mean it!” I hear Sidney scream at us and I hear the sound of a fist coming into contact with someone’s jaw. I look over to see Sidney standing in front of me, tears streaming down her face and holding her chin in her hand. My eyes widen in concern as I look at her. Some guy punches him out and he falls to the floor.

“You alright, love? Let’s get going and leave this place,” I mumble as I grab her waist and lead her out the door, past Chris who was currently blacked out on the floor. I hear her mumble something but I don’t understand.

“I-I, I hate him,” she cries into my shoulder as I lead her out to the car lot. I was tired and ready to head back. That’s when I realise I didn’t drive here, we rode over with Braden and Claire. I shush her and take her into my arms holding on to her tightly.

“Come on, Sid, I’ll call a cab and we can get home,” I tell her and pull out my phone so I can call for a cab to pick us up.

We stand there for a few minutes while we wait for it to arrive. A few minutes later, we are on our way back to the house. I take that moment and shoot a text to Braden and tell him that we left and stuff went down and I’ll tell him later. It’s been a long night already and I couldn’t wait to get home and crash for the night, happy I have Sidney by my side.

Have a lot of things in store for upcoming chapters you won't want to miss.

Let me know what you think, please? I'd love to know. Drop a comment, vote or subscribe, maybe even all 3? :D
