“It’s ‘lright, babe, no worries,” I mutter as I stare at her, wanting to stare into her eyes as blue as the ocean. They are captivating. She is captivating; I didn’t ever want to look away. After a few minutes, she opens her mouth and I can’t help her blink back a few tears and take a slow breath before she begins to speak.

“I…I d-don’t know, ugh, sorry,” she mutters as she rises from where she sat and tries to move away from me.

“What are you sorry for, love?” I question her in a deep tone.

“I-I d-don’t know, for k-kissing y-you, I guess, and the fact I…” she trails off and rambles on about something I couldn’t quite understand. I reach forward and grab hold of her hand in my big one to stop her from moving and pull her toward me.

“The fact that you, what? Out with it babe,” I say with a laugh as she reaches up to push some of her dark hair from falling in her face, her gaze fixed on the ground. I put one of my fingers lightly under her chin and push her face up so she met my eyes that were locked intently on hers. I smile and give her a slight nod of my head to tell her to continue on.

“I’ll probably go to hell for this and Chris will be forever livid with me but I…I think I’m falling for you, Harry,” she blurts out. I let out a sigh of relief and can’t help but smile wide as I look at her. I really don’t give a shit about what he thinks of this because she will possibly be mine soon enough. As those words leave her mouth, she immediately brings her hand up to cover her mouth and I let a laugh pass my lips.

“Feelings quite mutual, babe,” I say with a smile and slowly lift my hand and cup her cheek in my palm. “What are you goin’ to do about that stupid prick you call your boy toy?” I ask, curious to know the answer.

She giggles at my words and I can’t help but smile as I hear that sound leave her lips. She had a cute laugh and I love seeing her like this unlike how she is when she’s in a grumpy mood all thanks to the prick she calls her boyfriend. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, but I can keep her safe; I know I can. I have a feeling she knows that I can – will – too.

“I haven’t really thought that far yet,” she laughs and drops her hands to her sides. I laugh and move my arms to her sides. She gives me a small smile as she looks back at me. I notice her take a breath in as I slowly inch my face closer to hers. My lips brush against hers ever so softly and I smile a bit.

“Hope you don’t mind if I – if I kiss you, I’ve thought of this moment for so long,” I whisper and notice her slowly nod her head in response to my words.

At once, we both lean in and I feel my lips slowly moving against hers. I manage to grab her by the waist and pull her closer to me. I couldn’t believe this is actually happening – something of which I’ve wanted to happen for so long – that I was here with her like this. I wrap my arms around her and pull her against me, my hands moving to her hips. I pull away for a split second so I could look at her beautiful face.

“Where does this leave us – I want to be with you, Sid,” I smile and cup her face in my palm. She smiles and looks down for a second before looking up at me and parts her lips slightly.

“I-I want t-that, t-too, but I have to deal with Chris. I need to end it and tell him I can’t take it anymore, that I’m done for good but it will be–” I shush her and press my lips against hers in a short kiss.

She tries to pull away but I shake my head and whisper something to her against her lips, “I don’t want to talk about him right now,” I finish and tighten my arms around her waist again. A few minutes later, she’s slowly pulling away from me. My eyebrows come together in confusion. What’s going on? I didn’t hurt her, did I?

“What’s wrong?” I ask as she begins to look around for something in a rushed manner.

“Looking for my phone so I can check the time, it feels super late and I-I’m tired,” she says as she searches in the pockets of her shorts. She turns up empty-handed and I just smile and let a laugh pass my lips. A slight frown overtakes her face as she looks at me. I reach in the front pocket of my jeans and pull out my iPhone.

“It is,” I begin as I press the home button to check the time, “it’s only ten to eleven, babe,” I tell her with a smile and look up at her. “Plus, it’s the weekend,” I laugh a bit and reach for her hand, lacing my fingers with hers. She begins to loosen her grip of my hand on hers and unlink our fingers.

“I-I’m still with…” she begins to say and I just roll my eyes.

“Yeah, you’re still with the prick, I know, but is he here? I don’t see his ass anywhere,” I reply with a bit of an edge in my voice. I didn’t give a shit about him.

“You have a valid point there,” she mumbles with a smile. I just give her a nod before I lean forward and brush my lips against her cheek. My hands move to her waist so I can pull her closer to me so she was on my lap.

“Come back to my place, he’ll never know,” I whisper and kiss her neck. She lets a light laugh pass her lips and I feel her faintly nod her head against my lips that were still on her skin. I smile as she leans forward and kisses my cheek. I push her lightly off me so I could get up.

“Want to get out of here?” I ask as I stand up and hold out my hand to her. She nods her head slowly and reaches out to grab my hand. I pull her up to her feet and grab the blankets from the ground and shake them off before I put them over my shoulder. After a while, I begin to dispose of the beer bottles and toss them in the nearest recycle/garbage bin I saw before we head to my SUV.

I pull my keys from my pocket and press the button to unlock the car. After I hear the click, I pull the door open so I could help Sid into the car. She was still a bit drunk so it would be wise for me to help her. I was ever so slowly getting sober and I still feel it but not as much as earlier. She puts her head back against the headrest and begins to reach for the safety belt but misses. I smile and reach for it before I secure her in.

“Thanks, Harry,” she mutters softly with a smile and closes her eyes.

“No problem, babe,” I reply and shut the door before I open up the back door so I can toss the blankets back there. After I toss the blankets in the seat, I slam the door shut and begin to make my way around to the driver’s side, keys in hand. I was glad I was actually sober enough to drive or we’d be here all night, not that I’d mind, since she’s here with me.

I slam the door shut once I took a seat behind the wheel. Once I stick the key in the ignition, I secure my safety belt before I start the engine. I am soon making my way back the way we got here. This time, we were headed to my house. I turn on some music and turn the volume down low so I wouldn’t disturb her. I can’t help the smile that makes its way to my face as I drive. Every so often, I couldn’t help but look at her from the corner of my eye. She looked so peaceful when she slept.

Alright, Harry, stop it before you crash! I hear my voice in my mind as I turn my attention back to the dark road ahead of me. A good fifteen minutes later, I am pulling in front of the house I shared along with Braden and Nick. I put the car in park before I cease the engine and pull the keys from the ignition. I look over at Sidney to find her still asleep, eyes squeezed shut. Her head was now resting on the window and her mouth slightly open as she breathed.

I smile as I climb out and tighten my hold on the keys. I make my way around to the side she was on and pull the door open softly as I can. I carefully lift her in my arms, head on my shoulder and my arms underneath her legs as I held her up. This girl was so light, I feel like I’m holding an angel. I slam the door shut with my elbow and manage to lock the door with the key.

She stirs a bit in her sleep as I get the front door open. It didn’t seem to disturb her as I entered the house. I slam the door shut with my foot and lock it with one of my hands. I mutter a soft “sorry, love,” as the door slams shut. I am soon making my way up the stairs to my room. It will be way more comfortable than sleeping on the couch and I wanted her to be comfortable.

I don’t even bother to turn the light on when I make it to my room, because I didn’t want to disturb her. I slowly make my way through the dark room over to my bed. Moon light was shining in through the window lighting it up a bit. I soon make it over to my bed and lay her down on the mattress. I pull the covers over her and smile a bit before I begin to make my way back to the door. I barely take a step when I feel my arm being pulled on slightly.

“N-no, s-stay, Harry,” she mutters as I turn to her. Her eyes fluttered open for a second and we locked eyes. I nod my head and give her a smile as I feel her hold loosen on my arm. I pull off my shirt and let it drop to the floor and kick my jeans off my legs before I grab some sleep shorts and pull them up my boxer clad legs.

I go over and shut my door before I walk back over to my bed and climb under the covers. I scoot a bit closer to her and whisper something to her, “Night beautiful,” before I drift off to sleep. I can’t believe this is actually happening. Is this real or am I dreaming? Soon, I want her to be mine and I know she will. I have hope that she’ll be mine soon and I can’t wait for the day she leaves him so I can have her all to myself.
