Harry's POV

Back in the sun of Los Angeles. I've only been gone for a few months but I missed this place so much. The sun, the people, the buildings, California was meant to be my true home. Sure I missed Holmes Chapel, my family and friends but California called to me. This is where I belong.

It was still early in the morning, morning commute traffic was almost over, perfect time for a bike ride. Hopefully the paparazzi won't notice I'm out today. They get in my way when I'd rather go fast and pay attention to the road.

I finish lacing up my boots and grab my leather jacket as I make my way to the car park. Grab my plain black helmet instead of my snazzy gold one and snap it on. I can't wait to feel the wind. I'm off as I ride around the neighborhood, I'd like to take to the highway today, I have no place to be today. Just me and the bike.

I see people all over the place as I ride closer to the edge of my neighborhood, mums and dads, crazy kids running all over the place, dogs barking. I'm almost to the edge of my neighborhood as the people begin to dwindle by the numbers and replaced with more and more traffic. Crazy drivers texting, drinking coffee, and yelling at each other. Some people even singing at the top of their lungs to music. It's quite comical if you really stop and pay attention to those around you.

I start to slow down as I come around a curve, I can see the red light in the distance and the line of cars I'll be behind in a minute. I don't brake yet, just let my bike coast until I have to.

Suddenly I feel a harsh jolt from behind as my body reacts my neck snaps back and I feel instant pain. Before I can look behind me to see whats happening my arms lose their strength to keep my bike straight and I fall to the right. I try to stop it with my feet but its like Ican't control anything and I feel the weight of it falter. My bike lands with a heavy crash on my leg as my head smacks the pavement and skid into the pavement parked in front of me. The pain of everything comes weighing on me as all I can do is close my eyes, trapped under the massive weight of my motorcycle.

“Wake up! Wake up!” I slightly open my eyes to see a woman above me, the sun behind her clouding her face, all I can see is long blonde hair. Maybe it was a nightmare, this whole thing was a nightmare. Until I feel my bike. Still on top of me. Crushing me.

“Oh please wake up! An ambulance is on its way.” She tells me with concern in her voice.

“I'm fffi.” I attempt to say I'm fine but I know it doesn't come out like that.

“Don't strain yourself. I'm Elliot. Please don't move.” Her voice is very calming.

I go to reach for my helmet to take it off. It's hurting my neck. Her hand stops me.

“No, you could have hurt your neck. You can't take it off.” She pushes the barrier back from my helmet so I can see, my eyes instantly squint in the sunlight. “Relax. They're coming.” She assures me and I notice that I'm actually extremely close to her. Did I hit her? What happened?

She must notice the confusion on my face when I suddenly hear other voices.

“You were hit by the truck behind you, you skid to the side right into the truck in front of you. I was running on the sidewalk, I saw the whole thing.” She looks terrified. The look in her eyes is something of panic and worry.

I close my eyes to let the pain overcome me.

“OH no you don't!” She yells at me. “Stay awake, stay with me, open your eyes.” She commands.

The sudden and sharp noise of an ambulance filled the air as my breathing started to relax. My shoulder was killing me. My leg felt like it has snapped off. As I look around I see no spare parts around me on the pavement so I take that as a good sign.

“I'm Harry.” I manage to tell her. I feel like I just ate sand, my voice is so groggy and dry.

I hear doors open as people are yelling at each other to grab a back brace, get some pain medicine, call the local hospital to warn of our arrival. I'm panicked. Elliot must notice, when I catch her eyes she slightly smiles and calms me with her voice.

“It's going to be okay Harry. Everything will be fine.” She assures me as a medic comes over and ushers her to move out of his way.

“No! She stays!” I suddenly find my voice as he relents and lets her come back to my side.

“What's his name?” The middle age woman asks Elliot.

“It's Harry.” She tells them as the women looks back at me.

“Harry, I'm Natalie, we're going to move this bike off of you, you need to stay as still as possible. Okay?” I simply nod in response. “Miss? Can you hold his hand please?”

Elliot looks at me as if for permission. I've only just met her but I try to smile and pull my arm up. A sharp pain shoots through my shoulder as my face winces and I hear Elliot gasp.

“Breath.” She simply commands and crawls around to the other side to grab my other hand. I squeeze it tightly.

“Ready? One. Two, three.” The weight of the heavy machine comes off and I feel like I can breath. I try to sit up but Natalie pushes me back down.

“Not going anywhere Harry. Your leg is broken.” She simply explains as she lays the orange back brace on the ground. “We're going to move you to the side as quickly as possible so we can transport you. Once we get you on the brace we'll be removing your helmet stay still. This is Bill, he's helping move you.”

I nervously look around for Elliot. She seems to be all I need right now. It's reassuring to see her face above mine.

“Ready Harry?” I once again simply nod as I can feel people put their hands under me. “Everyone on three. One, two, three.” I let out a massive groan as they slide me to the brace. The pain was almost unbearable.

“Elliot?' I find my voice speaking. I'm sure it only comes out as a whisper but it's heard.

“She's right here Harry.” I already recognize Natalie's voice as I feel a hand wrap around my fingers. I have limited vision because of my helmet but I see the blonde hair I've started to recognize.

“We're going to remove your helmet now Harry. I need you to not move at all as we put your neck brace on. Do you understand? This is extremely important.” I squeak out a yes and try to calm myself.

“It's okay Harry.” I hear Elliot, my breathing slightly slows and my eyes relax as I feel someones fingers under my chin to undo the strap on my neck. It unbuckles with ease and someone else slides a neck brace under me. I close my eyes and try to concentrate on breathing instead of the pain vibrating all over my body. My helmet slides off as I hear it hit the ground with a thud.

“Okay, Harry, we're going to head to the hospital now.” I can feel my body move towards what I'm assuming is the ambulance.

“Wait.” I say as I try to lift my hand but everything is strapped down. “Elliot.” I simply say as I see the two people above me crane their necks to what I'm assuming is Elliot's direction. I don't know why I suddenly need her to be with me, but she's kept me calm, I need a friendly face even if I don't know her.

“Elliot?” Natalie calls out, it must have gotten her attention. “Harry wants you with him.” She starts rolling the gurney towards the vehicle.

I'm loaded up into the back as the man finally speaks, Bill I think it is. “You can sit here Elliot, by his head, don't get in our way.” I hear him practically scold her.

“I got your phone and your keys.” She explains.

“My mum. Call my mum.” I can't stand this pain much longer.

“Can you get him something for the pain?” Elliot asks. As she fumbles with my phone.

“Not yet, we can't put an IV in when were in the back of a bouncing ambulance.” Natalie informs her as I hear a strange noise. The realization of it makes me notice that it's scissors cutting my pants apart.

“Harry, can you type in your passcode? Or tell me your moms number so I can call her?” Elliot asks as I try to turn my head towards her but its securely strapped down.

“It's 8453. Her name is Anne.” Its all I can get out before I feel like I can't breath. I feel a hand caress my hair.

“Relax Harry, take a deep breath. In and out. It's ringing.” Her voice is doing it's best to calm me.

“Hello? No this isn't Harry. He's been in an accident. We're on the way to the hospital, yes he's awake. I'll try.” She makes eye contact with me, which is not easy for her because I can't move my head. “Harry, your mom wants to hear your voice. I'll put her on speaker phone okay?” She asks and waits for my response.

“Harry?” I hear my mums voice loud and clear, full of panic.

“Mum? I'm okay. Can you come here?” I ask, my voice trembling trying to keep my pain down.

“I'm already looking for tickets.” She assures me and I can hear a faint click of the keyboard in the background.

“Use my card.” I slightly close my eyes as I can feel my leg just throbbing. Thankfully I can't see it, I'm sure I'd pass out. “Elliot. Will. Give. You. The. Number.” I take breaks between each word, the pain is so intense. Just all over my body. I close my eyes to try to control it. Elliot must notice because she crouches behind my head and starts stroking my hair again trying to calm me down.

“Just breath.” She whispers in my ear as she retracts the phone.

“Yes, I have it.” She must be referring to the card, my mum knows which one to use. “Okay. I'll keep you updated.” She hangs up the phone and her voice comes back to me. “Your mom will be here soon.” She tries to reassure me but I know she won't be here till tomorrow. She has to drive to London, then its a ten hour flight from London to LA. “We're here Harry.” She tells me as the ambulance grinds to a halt.

The doors flash open as people are swarming the doors pulling me out.

“Elliot!” I try to yell with all my strength. “Stay with me!” I yell again as everything goes dark and the pain finally takes over my body.

@All-is-on
Ah thank you!! I'm super excited that you're reading my other stories, Liam's story needs a bit more looking back at it but it was my first! And a lot of people don't like how I ended it, I've been thinking about adding a bonus chapter for a while but I'm all wrapped up in Niall's story at the moment! :)

This story (and especially its ending) were even better than the Liam one!! I can't wait to read the Louis story while I wait for the next Niall update! I seriously can't get enough of your writing!!
