Truly, Madly, Deeply
Chapter 6
Lily's POV
They all stare at me. 'Truly, Madly..Deeply?' Niall breathes and I nod. 'Like.. Our song?' Zayn asked and I laughed. 'My dad loved to sing and I once played this for him. He instantly loved it and sung it non stop for about 3 weeks. It drove me and my mum crazy. Last year when he died I got it done' i tell them and they all nod, understanding.
We sit for a while, watching a really old episode of the simpsons and talking mostly over it. I was snuggled in to Niall. My eyelids were growing heavy and Nialls warmth wasnt helping but I was snapped wide awake by the sound of my ringtone 'Heart Attack' playing loudly. Everyone stared at me and I blushed getting it out and answering it.
'The fuck are you?' Ali shouted from down the phone. I sighed and got up from the couch signalling to the others that I'd take it in the next room. 'I'm at Niall's' I hiss down the phone and Ali bursts out laughing. 'Ooh you little slut' she laughs down the phone. I sigh and say 'No its not like that ok? I'll be home soon.' We say our goodbyes as I walk in to the room again, not realising until I sit down that all eyes are on me.
'I have to go soon' I tell them and they all protest. 'Do you want me to give you a lift?' Niall asks and i shake my head. 'Its fine I'll get Ali to li-' but before i could finish Niall had butted in. 'Nah, ill take you babe,' I smile.
Niall's POV
We hop into the car and I start to drive, turning on the radio. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons comes on and Lily starts to sing along. I'm not sure if she realises but its still amazing. I slowly whip out my phone and press record, hoping she doesnt see. After it, Little things comes on and she sings along, knowing the words off and I beam at her. 'What?' She asks cocking an eyebrow. 'Nothing' I mumble turning off the recorder.'What do you want to do?' I ask her. 'Well, I'd love to have a career in singing or dancing' she said blushing 'You should.' I tell her. 'I should what?' she asks. 'Sing'
We sit the rest of the journey in comfortable silence until she directs me to her house. I parkand get out opening her door and helping her out.
I walk her to her doorstep and we stop there. 'Hey Lily' i say and she nods. 'You know the way you said you had a crush on my when we were 13' I ask her and she nods blushing. 'I had a crush on you too' i tell her. She gasps and covers her mouth quickly. 'No you didn't! Charlie Clarke said you liked Stacey Crawford' I shake my head. 'No! Stacey Crawford said you liked Charlie Clarke!' We both burst out laughing. 'Maybe that's because Stacey had a massive crush on you.' She tells me.'Charlie had a massive crush on you!' She looks at me. 'So... was Stacey your first kiss?' she asks. I nod. 'Was Charlie yours?' she nods. 'Well..' I say leaning in. 'It looks like we were owed a first kiss from eachother then.'
My lips brushed against hers for a moment before the door opens and her friend pops her head out. 'Oh..' she says and backs out. Lily starts laughing and gives me a hug. 'Goodbye Niall' she whispers into my ear. I smile at her as she walks into her house, get in my car and drive home.
