Scarlett.
I took a deep breath and stared at the bed in front of me.
It had sure been a very, very weird day. When I woke up; I was being sad about the fact that we were still stuck in that jungle and it felt like minutes later that I was standing underneath a lovely warm shower, washing all the dirt off. And with the dirt, most of the stress and other unpleasant feelings had flowed into the drain.
Now I was feeling clean and even a little better, actually. I climbed underneath the covers and sighed. Diane had brought us to a hotel in Cooktown. It was a nice little hotel and we finally had the chance to eat something. We ate a little, though. A lot of food would be too much for our stomachs to handle.
But it still felt a little unreal. I would feel totally better when I was home, sitting by the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee. And maybe even Harry, sitting on the other side...
I pushed that thought away.
Let's go home first. Then we'll go on a date and then we'll see what happens.
Nice try, Scarlett. Nice try. I tossed and turned but my mind kept going back to Harry.
Now we were saved and it was sure that we would go home in a few days, I didn't have to think about surviving and that everlasting hunger - okay, I was exaggerating now - anymore, so I had all the time and space to think about Harry. And my feelings for him.
It felt like a long time ago that I thought about that, but of course; that was bull shit. I had thought a lot of him the past few days and I knew it.
I remembered something my mom told me when I was pregnant and stressed-out and closed my eyes, taking three deep breaths, feeling relaxation flowing through my body.
I smiled a little and with the image of my baby daughter in my mind, I fell asleep.

Harry.
I got up and walked into the bathroom, rubbing my eyes while turning on the lights.
Falling asleep was hard. It was way too silent in that room. No birds, no insects, no soft breeze that made the trees whisper. Nothing. Just the faint sound of cars and voices down the hall.
I missed the others around me. And I started to wonder if Scarlett had troubles falling asleep as well.
What if I just go into her room and ask her if I can sleep in her bed?
I shrugged, turning off the lights in the bathroom and walking to my door, hesitating a second before pushing down the door handle and walking out of the room, making sure I brought my key card with me.
Then, I softly knocked on Scarlett's door, being surprised when the door opened a little immediately. It had never been locked.
I shook my head and walked into her room, feeling relieved when I saw her lying on the bed.
When I pulled up the blanket, I saw she was hugging a pillow, holding on to it dearly.
I walked to the other end of the bed, climbing in and gently placing my arm around her and the pillow, pulling her closer.
'Harry?' She mumbled.
'Yeah. Sorry, couldn't sleep.'
'Okay.' She whispered.
It looked like some stupid scene in a cheesy love movie, but it felt good though. Just holding her close.
I closed my eyes and drifted away.
Birds were singing, trees were rustling in the wind, the river flowed and Scarlett; she danced.
