"Girls!" "Sky!" "Kat!'' Ahhh!" "LUiisaahh!" "Cora!" "I LOVE YOU" Girls Over here!" "Cora, is it true you've spent a night in jail?!" "Sky, Who's the new boy!"
Security rushed us into the Escalade that was outside for us, waiting to drive us back to the hotel. I looked to the other girls who were all just as shaken up, but pumped at the same time. "How did this even happen?!" exclaimed Sky from the back row. "I don't know but I love it! all of it! We are doing this for a living now girls!" said Core. You could see how happy she was in her eyes. "That was such a rush" said Kat from the back seat next to Sky. You could still feel her energy running on high. Her cheeks were a bit flushed due to the rush and the cold New York weather. I still couldn't believe it. "I can't believe it. We are in New York. Just a few months ago we were at our cave surffing and just messing around." I said turning to face the girls. Core doing the same so we could see Kat and Sky. "In New York! Concrete jungle where dreams are made of! There's nothing we can't do!" She began to sing. Leave it to Kat to find a song for everything.
We all joined Kat "Now we're in New York, these streets will make us feel brand new, big lights that inspire you! Let's hear it for New York! New York! New York!" We all settled down crying. "You got that Ange?" Asked Kat. "Got it!" Ange said from the passenger seat up front, giving us a thumbs up.
Angelo is a film major from the New York Film Academy. He graduated last summer and, being an LA native that Kat met at starbucks, he offered to film our experience trying to make it in the music industry. His offer was to film everything. He said that if we got famous we would have a record of everything that had happened, and if not he would have gained experience. He believed that we would make it. Angelo has been with us, pretty much since life-line started. Kat has taken up to personally nicknaming him Ange. I feel its kind of feminine but he doesn't seem to mind when Kat uses it. After we got signed, we also got Angelo a gig to be our personal videoagrapher and producer. So, since it's been a good year and a half we have become fairly close with Angelo. He's like our big brother. And his girlfriend, Daisy, Is like our older sister. She just so happens to be our head hair and make-up artist.
As we were getting to the hotel Skylar recieved a call from Stacey, our Manager, telling us we had an important, impromptu meeting and we were to be there in 15 minuites. I don't know how we're getting there in time with the traffic here.
When we got to the building we went up to the 4th floor where the temporary office was while we were in New York. "Girls!" Stacey exclaimed as we walked in. "You were supposed to be here !0 minuites ago." We love stacey, she is the best manager, but when she gets stressed she can get hard to deal with. "I have big news!" she exclaimed getting excited. "Sit." she said motioning to the seats in front of the desk. She didn't sit down though. Just as I was about to ask her what was going on Mr. Ricardo Jamison Pent II walked in. All of our jaws dropped.
He sat in the chair behind the desk and gave us a warm smile. Ricardo Jamison Pent II is up there in the music industry. He owns some of the biggest record labels in the wold. "Ladies, it's a pleasure to finally meet the girls who have been the talk lately. You should know every record label, not only in the states but all around the globe, want you. Luckee Records made a fine choice in signing you. Now for the main reason I am here. I set this meeting up, I apolagize for the late notice, I set it up to personally inform you that you have been nominated for Three awards at the Music Mayhem Awards taking place on Dec 27." Our jaws dropped even lower. I believe I speak for all of us when I say we are comepletely gob-smacked.
"OH. MY. JESUS. CHRIST." Said Kat being the first to speak. "We are comepletley honered Mr. Ricardo." Exclaimed Core. "Please ladies, call me Rick. And, I hope to be seing a lot of you ladies soon. I have big plans and hopes for you girls. I know you won't let me down. Now. I bid you goodbye, I must catch my flight to Tokyo." With that, he gave us each a kiss on the hand and left.
"What just happened?" I exclaimed looking at the other girls. Skylar still hadn't said a word. We all looked at each other and began screaming and jummping up and down, embracing each other in a hug. When we let go we had tears running down our cheeks. We burst out laughing so hard we began to cry all over again. We recomposed ourselves and decided to go out and celebrate.
"Ladies, before you leave, You have tomorrow morning free but an interview at 1:30. Oh. and you'll be performing at the MMAs." Stacey said all nonchalantly. As if it wasn't the biggest award show to ever exist!
