Dreaming Of You // If I'm Still Dreaming

'Maybe you won’t like the answer'

[WARNING: Adult content below. Read at your own discretion.]

On my way back to France I kept looking at the pictures of the wedding in social media. I looked grumpy in every single one of them, but I wasn’t surprised. Were they all conspiring to make me feel like shit? I glimpsed to my side, Pat sleeping on his seat next to me. Only his and Stan’s words about Jeanne and me were giving me strength to face that last week with her and try to make up my mind. One week and I’d be on my own again. But I forced myself not to think about it just yet. I glanced outside. Pinkish remains of dawn were still lingering on the clouds. In a clearing I caught a sight of Paris. My heart immediately raced.

We finally arrived to Sainte-Mesme by taxi and Pat dropped me in front of ‘La biguine’ before heading to Maurice’s house. I opened the fence, starting to make my way through the garden. The same amazing sensation I first had when I stepped foot in it overcame me. I frantically began to search for Jeanne, but it was quite early and I noticed she wasn’t around. Then I saw her coming out of the house in nothing but nude lace knickers and a light, cropped blouse. She was like me after all… I let my handbag fall to the floor and walked to her amongst the grass, impatient. And anxious as a child as I was I slipped in the dew and tripped, almost falling over. Jeanne stopped on her tracks and leant in to laugh. I felt an extreme heat surging my whole body and realised I was blushing. I shook my head, smirking, as she reached out for me, grabbing my wet hand in hers.

“Come here,” I said in a raspy tone, holding her waist as she circled my neck around her arms. I kissed her grin eagerly, deepening it and pulling her closer. I was still trembling but now it was joy swarming me in every direction.

“I’ve made a peach and raspberry crostata…” She managed to mumble between my yearning lips.

“Later…” I muttered and kept kissing her right in the middle of the garden, although soon I held her by the hand and walked up to the mulberry tree where the swing was hanging. I sat Jeanne on my lap, straddling me, her legs falling on the opposite side. “I want to do so many things on you, you can’t imagine…” But I was so happy just being there with her. I intertwined our fingers and began to rock my legs to catch some impulse to swing us.

“Tell me…” Jeanne said with her eyes fixed on mine. She didn’t even need to move to make me harden. Gravitational pull was doing all the work for her.

“I want to kiss your lips for an hour straight… Just kiss and anything else,” I whispered, bringing her even closer with my free hand. Jeanne smirked and instinctively bucked her hips towards me. I was going to like this. “I want to dress you and then undress you with my teeth,” I carried on quietly, pecking her on the lips and trailing sloppy kisses to her sweet spot under the earlobe, licking at it. She contorted in my embrace as I let go on her fingers. “I want to have you naked between my arms and kiss, lap, savour and touch your entire body, slowly, like the other day, with my tongue and lips and teeth and with the rest of my body and I want you to look at me while doing it…” I said huskily, my breath strategically falling on her sensitive skin. Jeanne couldn’t help but shiver. “Without touching, without speaking and without a single noise… Just feeling me through you…” She let out a moan and rested her forehead on the crook of my neck. “I just want to grab your leg and caress it all the way up and then all the way down to your inner thigh as I suck on your thumb and you start craving for me to be inside you…” And it was just too much already to leave it all to gravity so we began to grind on each other. “I want to bend you over the table…” I claimed as I remembered how much I enjoyed it in Paris. Jeanne hissed on my ear, making my hairs stand on end. “And push a finger inside you… And then another… And then another and moved them until I make you moan and shake,” I spoke languidly, my hands running across her back, underneath her blouse. “And I want to slip my cock inside you and just stay there… in absolute stillness, feeling your warmth and the way you clench around me…” I began to pulse painfully inside my boxers. How could everything with Jeanne be so arousing? “I want to feel how is to be so deep inside you, so close to you, sensing the pleasure rising slowly between us, unstoppable–––I shook my head, her hands tugging at me–––without mercy, and be able to feel your orgasm building up around me without any distraction… Just you and what I’m giving you, until you tremble and surrender yourself, aching for me to thrust…” I glanced at Jeanne. I had never seen her eyes sparkling like this. “But it will only be me pressing that spot I know though it will be enough, and your orgasm around me will be all I need to come without even moving…” I said directly to her gaze, the familiar buzz warming up my chest. “I want to feel what I do to you and I want you to feel what you do to me, without a care in the world around us…”

“Not now,” Jeanne muttered pushing her hips back as she threw a hand to my crotch and began to undo my jeans, releasing my hard-on, and pushed her knickers aside. “Do me,” she ordered softly, speaking to my mouth. There was something irreversible to me in her words. I gasped jaggedly as she slid around me, forcefully gripping her bum. To turn her on like this was simply too much for me.

I let out a groan, thrusting hard as I pulled from her towards me. God, she was so delicious… Jeanne twitched in rapture. I pushed myself a second time, the heat burning throughout us so quickly, her panting on my ear, driving me mad. I repeated my movement a third time. I needed to feel her even closer.

“Yes,” she mumbled confusedly, her face tightly pressed to my neck, her pubis rubbing on me in such way.

The swing crackled under our weight. I rocked myself vigorously one more time as I sensed how we were both quivering on the edge. Pleasure hit me straight to the heart and as I held her tightly against me, coming down from my high, I felt like crying. I threw my head forward, biting my lower lip. I knew exactly what was going on with me.

–.–.–

After lunch I was pretty tired but I wanted to avoid developing the photos I’d been taking at all cost, so as soon as I checked Google Maps I told Jeanne we could go out for a little excursion. My choice surprised her but I didn’t know if it was in a good way. She agreed though, so I called Pat. I wasn’t very sure about going to Versailles on the 2CV. The car isn’t at its best and it’s a palace after all. Jeanne found my remark extremely funny, and sardonically stated she couldn’t care less. There’s a reason for them to have cut off the head of their king and queen during the French Revolution. As she said French people truly are over monarchy and their symbols.

So I’m glad a raging mob hadn’t burn it to ashes though, because the place can’t be more spectacular, especially the gardens. I don’t image how she manages to know all that stuff but she minutely explained every single fountain to us. Pat couldn’t help himself and kept shaking his head in disbelief, checking his audio guide from time to time to corroborate the facts she was pointing out. Did she learn them from a lover? Because I could never teach her anything like this. She probably knows more about Buckingham Palace than me.

I glance at Jeanne as I continue lazily strumming my guitar. She looks so beautiful reading her book by the end of the bed, her hair messily rolled to the side, her glasses on, that adorable grimace she makes when she’s focused or trying to contain a grin… She makes me so weak. What is she doing with a guy like me? As Pat said to the lads yesterday, she is walking class. And I’m this… Today at Versailles it became so obvious how tacky I am next to her, attracted as a magpie to everything shinny when Jeanne clearly loathes luxury. What has she seen in me? I reach for her thigh with the tip of my foot and start to stroke her skin, trying to get her attention. Jeanne lifts her gaze from the book, looking at me from above her glasses and smirks. Yeah, I keep doing this every five minutes, but this time I speak.

“How well do you remember that day in London,” I ask her apparently out of the blue, still moving my fingers amongst the strings.

“Fairly well…” She says in curiosity, setting her book aside and I do the same with my guitar. I keep it relaxed, my back against the cushions, a hand to my hair.

“Was it in the afternoon?” Jeanne nods suggestively, coming to hold her knees. “Do you remember what you did later?” I’m aware I’m starting to repeat myself, but I need to know. I can’t believe I didn’t ask her about this before. That day is all I can think about, as it’s the beginning of everything. Why am I not able to remember a single thing? Such a tumultuous year…

“It was Friday and I went dancing with my college friends,” she declares playfully. Of course she realises this conversation resembles too much that other one we had not far ago.

“What did you think of me?”

“I thought you had a beautiful mouth and an impossible stare…” Jeanne murmurs huskily while propping her head on the palm of her hand. God, she’s just so hot when she flirts. That dreamy gaze, the way her eyelashes flutter… My inner being is just pounding furiously.

“Did you think of me when you were dancing?” I say as I bend down a bit to get closer to her, and she does the same.

“So we have a prescribed question now…” She mutters lazily, massaging her hair. Seriously, how can she be this alluring? I’m so mad about her I just can’t stand it. “Maybe you won’t like the answer,” she finally whispers.

“I’ll give it a go,” I whisper myself in a raspy tone. We hold each other’s gazes. I can match her in flirtation. “Tell me…”

“We got quite drunk…” Yeah, I can tell considering how much she enjoys to drink.

“And…”

“And at some point they played a song I fancied…” She carries on.

“What song?”

“I don’t really know but my friend Rob put me over a table to dance–––she laughs, reminiscing. It was so much fun.” Well, that doesn’t sound so bad compared to what happened in Munich.

“You, dancing over a table?–––I cheekily observe. I can’t imagine… Could my geisha graciously show me?” Jeanne looks at me quizzically, but knowing how much of an exhibitionist she is I could say my probabilities to get away with it are quite high.

“Well, I began to move my ankles to catch up with the rhythm…” She says jumping to stand up in bed, making the mattress bounce. God, how could she never cease to amaze me? I’m already enjoying this so much… I lean back to contemplate her with that romper suit threatening to fall from her shoulder and reveal one of her breasts to me as in a Grecian sculpture. “And then I began to move my arms like this…” She says as she crosses her right arm in front of her abdomen, pointing down, while the left one is in the air, trailing a ‘z.’ Suddenly this seems too familiar. I can’t help but frown. It’s the Venus of Milo… In just a second I’m back at the Louvre where Jeanne is showing me the pose, but in a blink of an eye I’m elsewhere, lost in the middle of a crowd. I start to get nervous. What is this sensation creeping up on me? “Leaning in and flicking my hair…” I hear she finishes to speak but I can’t do other than staring at her. She repeats her movements with her little grimace on the lips. I shook my head, and it is like somebody is crunching my torso because I can’t breathe. Everything is returning to me so quickly I’m not able to process it. I literally crawl down from bed, absurdly heading to an open floor-length window, and stumble into the garden, hurriedly walking away from the house.

I’m panting and my head turns around in high speed. When I stop I graze my hands down my face. It can’t be… I pull my iPhone from the pocket of my shirt, my hands shaking out of control. I difficultly go through my contact list, as it’s hardly possible for me to focus. I need to speak to him.

“Liam…” I mumble when he answers.

“Hey, what’s up, Harry, mate?” He replies cheerfully. How can he be so relaxed when I’m a fucking mess? Because you haven’t told him yet, Harry! Still trembling I glance back to the house to check she hadn’t followed me as I try to catch my breath and calm down a bit at the same time.

“Liam, it’s her…” I manage to mutter.

“Her?–––he snaps. Who?”

“Jeanne… The girl…”

“Harry, am I getting this right?–––he asks anxiously. The girl?”

miss you a lot friend,
message me sometime if you have the chance ❤️

You promised you would never make us wait for an update that long again... *cries*

Hello,

I hope your life is everything that you want it to be. It seems like the past couple of months have really changed my perspective of the world, and how much you need to appreciate the little things in life. You never know when life will snatch them away from you.

I have really appreciated all that you have done for me. I miss your constantly developing plot, and your infinitesimal points of detail. In other words, I miss this story so much.

I feel like so much has happened since the last time you updated. I hope you know that I am always eagerly awaiting your next chapter. Even if it's 5 years from now, and I am a fully licensed Speech Language Pathologist, I will try my best to keep up my support. Maybe next year while I am studying abroad in Italy you will find the motivation to continue. Who knows what's going to happen. Maybe I should take the quote from the t-shirt I am currently wearing. "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know you're gonna get."

Thanks,
Morgan

Oh no, and then the moment came there's no next chapter anymore! What do I have to do with my spare time now?!
On a serious note: I loved loved looooooved your story so far. I loved the way the sequel wasn't the same as 'Dreaming of you'. Another timeset, other places, other people getting involved, and the tension being build up from the beginning till now. Their 'relationship' didn't went back to the way things were in France 4 years ago, it needed time to get together again and in a different way (happy about their love right now, but after 111 chapters I know things can change...). I really loved the way you wrote about Mark Owen as being Jeanne's 'Boyband crush'. I've been such a big fan of Take That and Mark was my first true love when I was 11 or so. His picture was hanging above my bed, wich I kissed goodnight every night. (I guess I've just spilled my age, haven't I? ;-) )
When I read the last comments, I think your last update was from 2 months ago. I really hope you can find the time, the energy and the inspiration to finish this story, because I'm hooked! Give me a warning when you'll write a book, I will be in front of the bookstore, waiting!

Love, Leah

Dear You,

I've started reading this story two days ago. From the very first chapter I'm hooked and I can't stop reading. I don't want to go out, I don't want to sleep, I just want to read. Not to know how it will end actually, because I don't want it to end! So I try to find a balance between reading fast en making it last a little bit longer. I'm a fan of Harry from the day Sign of the times has released, so I have a lot of catching up to do. When you mention a song or a situation with One Direction, I look for it on Google or YouTube. So you're helping me to get to know the world of Harry and 1D, thank you for that! I've been to Paris a couple of times, It's such a beautiful city. I have good, romantic, memories of the times I've been there. You're writing about the city is so accurate and lively, it feels I'm there again by reading. My heart nearly broke for Harry and Jeanne when I read the last chapter of Dreaming of you. Happy to know there's a sequel, I going to start reading that now. I just wanted to write you this, because in the notes below the chapters you seem like a very nice, caring person. Thank you for writing such a beautiful story! (I hope my writing makes sence, English isn't my native language so I know I make a lot of mistakes. I'm sorry!)
Love, Leah
