As the glass window reflects the sunlight to the inside, my body begins to warm. The light grows in its own reflection, covering my face with its bright strike; causing my eyelashes to flutter. I release my sleepy yawn reaching for Harry. Once my hand dabs the empty space, I widen my drowsy eyes; where is he? As I perfectly recall, he was hammered by the amount of whiskey he drank; so how come he’s awake before I am?
“Harry?” I call, predicting that he might be in the toilet. “(I call again) Are in here?” No one replies to my faint voice, so I huff my breath while pressuring my head on the pillow. “(He knocks on the door) May I come in?” I hear Zayn’s voice, making me cover my body with the duvet. “Come in.” He peaks his head inside, giving me a morning smile.“Harry sent me to wake you up. But I overheard you calling for him; so I knew you’re up. Care for some breakfast?”
I nod, returning my friendly smile to him. “I’ll be downstairs in a few. Thank you, Zayn.” He closes the door, allowing me to uncover my warm body. They say London is cold, wait till they see how warm it is during summer. The climate is warm, causing precipitation to vaporise the glass window. I stumble my feet in a hurry, walking towards the bathroom. While I rinse my face, a thought mountains in my mind. Is it possible that Gemma is awake? If so, did anything happen between her and Harry?
I hope they didn’t fight, because I am certainly not willing to repeat last night’s events all over. The only positive part about yesterday, was when I gave Harry a shower. He was groaning, every time I washed his hair with shampoo. My drunken lover was too sleepy, so I made sure to hurry up with his cleansing. Liam helped me carry him in, then after the shower was done; he assisted in placing him over my bed. Even though he was so sleepy, his arms hooked around my body; bringing me closer to his.
As soon as finish wearing my clothes, I glide down the staircase to the kitchen. There, I witness something that makes my heart pound in a positive speed. Gemma is placing a portion of food in Harry’s plate, sharing with him a smile that tells me things are getting better. “Look who decided to grace us with her appearance.” Louis jokes behind me, hugging me backwards.
They all share their morning greetings with me, while Louis and I walk to the dining area in the kitchen. Even though I enjoy eating in the dining room, it’s cosier to eat here. Harry stands up to grab me a chair, while I rub Gemma’s back in a warming gesture. She smiles at me, emphasising that everything is alright; making me less worried about the negative friction of my prediction. Harry pecks me quickly yet meaningfully, while I sit down beside him. “Where’s El?” I ask, while I take a sip of Harry’s mug. “She’ll be back soon. She just went to purchase some stuff.”
I nod at Liam, still waiting to hear a word from Harry, but nothing is said so far. “(I whisper in his ear) Are you alright?” He gives me a look, which shows me that he’s trying to be. “(He whispers back) We’ll talk after we’re down here, baby. (He forks some scrambled eggs, reaching the fork to my mouth) Want some?” I open my mouth, allowing Harry to feed me his bite. I hope he doesn’t get mad, when we have our ‘talk’. It’s been tension after tension over these few days; we both need to just relax for a while.
