Harry's POV

"Savannah, stop. Seriously, I'm fine. I can make it to the apartment on my own."

"Why can't you just let me help you?" she asks, her hand still on my back while we walk through the sliding automatic glass doors. "You had surgery two days ago and your rib is bruised. Can we at least pretend that you're injured?"

"Why would we do that?"

"Umm...for fun."

"Sweetheart, if I haven't told you before, can I just tell you how special you are?" I lift my arm carefully around her waist, not wanting to stretch my abdomen too far by going all the way to her shoulders.

"Never forget it," she says, hitting the button to he elevator. I kiss the side of her head and she sighs. "This whole surgery thing really sucks for us."

"Why's that?"

"Because." She steps into the elevator and pulls me with her, hitting the number for her floor. "If you didn't have a gross incision with yellow stuff coming out of it we would be having sex in this elevator."

My eyes practically pop out of my head and she smiles, leaning back against the glass wall behind her. These glass walls would be..interesting.

"Your ass would look cute in one of these mirrors," she says, laughing a little at the next expression on my face. "Wow, this is fun. Now I know why you do it to me all the time."

"What?"

"You're all flustered, it's so adorable."

"Well it's..I'm not...I can't think straight when you say shit like that and I've basically been unconscious for four days," I explain.

"Come on," she says, taking my hand to lead me down the hall. "Niall is already here with Sophie. You should probably rest first and then later we'll-"

"Savannah, you don't need to baby me."

"Yes I do."

She smiles and pushes the door to her apartment open. Before she can step inside I pull it shut again, confused eyes peering up at me while I set my hands on her waist. Her hands rest on the back of my neck and I lean down to kiss her.

"I love you," I mumble against her lips. "Thank you for letting me stay here."

"I'm not letting you leave," she says quietly. That catches me off guard, and with one last peck on my lips she walks in her place. What does that mean?

There's a giant 'Welcome Home!' banner on the far wall and Niall and Sophie are both standing in front of a giant bundle of balloons. There's flowers on the table and a big chocolate cake, which Sophie has apparently already been enjoying. Savannah claps her hands and I can't help but laugh. How'd I get so lucky?

"This is great," I laugh. Savannah puts her arms around me, carefully and strategically. "You didn't have to do this."

"It's a special occasion," she says. She kisses my cheek and leads me to the couch. "One piece of cake, then you have to sleep."

"Yes sir." I salute her as I sit down on the couch and immediately Sophie is next to me.

"Careful, Soph," Savannah warns. "Remember what we talked about?"

"Daddy is ouchie so me no sit on him," she says, nodding her head. She smiles at me, a toothy grin, proud that she knows what to do.

"Such a big girl," I say, tapping her nose. "When did that happen, hmm?"

"Tomorrow," she says, turning to face Savannah as she cuts the cake.

"I think I'll get going," Niall says. "Let you three hang out."

"You don't have to go," Savannah insists. "At least have some cake."

"Save me some. I haven't been home in a few days and I need to de-Sophie," he says, waling up to her and pinching her cheeks. "I'm sick o'you."

"Ni-Ni," she giggles, pushing his hands away.

"Say thanks," I whisper in her ear. "Give him a big hug."

Sophie stands on the couch and wraps her tiny arms around Niall's neck. He laughs and picks her up.

"Fank you," she says.

"We had a good time, right?" He holds up his hand to high-five her and she laughs again. "Awesome. Okay, I'm going to go home. I'll see you all later. Just call me if you need me."

"Thanks Niall." Savannah pauses to give him a hug and if I could stand up without being in pain then I would. "For everything. We really owe you."

"Enough of all this adulty, grown up, family nonsense for me!' he shouts, heading for the door. "I'm going to go get wasted!"

"Niall!" I shout. His loud laugh is heard through the door as he walks down the hall, leaving me and my family. All three of us. "Hey, am I allowed to say I have a family of four now?"

"I don't know," Savannah says thoughtfully. "Maybe three and a half. Number four is really small."

"Sophie is small but she still counts."

"She's bigger than a small piece of fruit, though."

"You're feeling okay, right?"

She nods. "I've barely been sick. A few times, but it's been a lot better. By this point with Sophie I was in the bathroom most of the day."

"Yeah I remember, trust me."

"Anyway, we have another appointment in a few weeks so we can find out then what we're having."

"What?" She hands Sophie a piece and one to me. "You want to find out?"

"Well if we're having a boy then we need all new stuff," she explains. She sits down on the other side of Sophie and starts eating her own piece.

"Well yeah...but that doesn't mean we have to find out. Do you really want to know?"

"I mean, it was fun not knowing with Sophie but I think it might be nice to find out this time around," she explains. "You don't want to know?"

"It's nice when it's a surprise." I shrug. "We know we're having a baby, that's good enough for me."

"We don't have to decide right now," she says. "Sophie, please be careful. No cake on the couch, okay."

"Mummy, we can watch Dora?"

"Not right now. Maybe later, okay?"

Sophie lets out a dramatic sigh and sets her plate on the table, walking over to her small pile of toys. Savannah laughs and moves closer to me, again being all to careful not to touch me. She's acting like I'm a glass doll or something; I'm not that fragile. Sure, I had my spleen removed but it's not like I won't heal.

"Hey, what did you mean before about not letting me leave?" I ask quietly. She shrugs and puts a particularly large piece of cake in her mouth. Her cheeks are all puffed out when she smiles up at me. "Nice. Very clever."

Savannah laughs a little and sets her plate on the coffee table. "Sorry. I meant that...you know..."

"I know..."

"Just that if you wanted...like when you're healed and stuff maybe that your apartment might...you may not want to go back. Do you want coffee?"

Holy fuck. She stands up and starts cleaning up some of the plates and dishes, and before I can even register what she just said the kitchen door is swinging shut behind her. Did she just suggest that we move in together? Because that would be...amazing. Moving in with Savannah and Sophie is just about the best thing that could ever happen. Like ever. It takes me a minute to get up to be able to follow her, and when I do she's just leaning against the counter, thumbnail between her teeth. She slowly looks over at me.

"Umm...what just happened?"

"Nothing. I asked if you wanted coffee."

"Savannah, you just said-"

"It's going to have to be decaf," she says, looking through the cupboards.

"Babe, are you-"

"I can't have caffeine with the baby. You probably shouldn't have it either, now that I think about it. Could be bad with your medicine."

"Savannah." I can't help but smile at how nervous she is. She seriously thinks I'm going to say no. Who in their right mind would do that.

"Actually, maybe we should change your thing," she says. She takes my hand and starts dragging me towards the bathroom in her bedroom. It's really adorable that she's so nervous right now. I'm the one always pushing for us to be together, it's not like I'm ever going to say no to her.

She pushes me against the counter and opens up the little first aid kit the doctor gave us for this. It's a damn good thing she can handle this, because if it were up to me that thing would be the same for the next ten days. When she peels the current one off I can't help but look up at the ceiling.

"Harry, you're such a baby!" she says. "It really isn't that bad. Look, it's not even that oozy anymore."

"Baby, seriously, I can't handle it when you say that word."

"Just look at it. It's not that bad." I slowly glance down at the stitches and quickly look at her face instead while she giggles at me. "Just kidding."

"Babe," I groan. "Do you want to be cleaning up pus and puke?"

Savannah's POV

"Oh, come on." Harry looks up at the ceiling again while I clean his stitches. He doesn't seem to find any of it painful, which is good. He's just a baby about the gross stuff that's coming out of it."

"Can I say something now?" he says quietly. I nod without looking up at him. "Were you serious about what you said?"

"Depends what I said."

"Savannah," he coaxes. "You don't honestly think I'd say no, do you?"

Well I thought it was a possibility. I didn't really mean to ask him to move in with me, but it's going to happen eventually anyway. With him recovering and me being pregnant I feel like it's just time. Either it's going to work or it won't and if it doesn't I want to know sooner rather than later.

"It's a big deal," I say, shrugging.

"Yeah, but I think it makes sense for us. I think baby number two is a pretty good indication that we're getting serious."

"But last time-"

"Okay, stop cleaning my stomach for a minute." He takes my hands and makes me look at him again. "Last time was different. We know what we're doing now and we're having a second child together. I don't want our kids to grow up spending weekends with me and weekdays with you and dividing up the holidays between us."

"Yeah," I agree.

"Plus, you know. I love you," he says. He smiles and brings my hands up to his chest. "So there's that."

"I'm scared it's not going to work again," I admit. "I don't think I could handle that."

"It's going to. I'm not letting you go any time soon."

Harry kisses me and everything just seems to click into place. He's right; if we're going to do this we have to be all in, no more in and out in between nonsense. We have to realize that there's other people involved now, and I think Sophie would be the most hurt of anyone if things didn't work out. But it will work out. It has to. This time there just isn't an option. I'm going to be with Harry for the rest of my life.
