"Hey," Harry says as he opens the door, reaching immediately for the bag on my shoulder. He leans down and kisses my quickly.

"We're a little early, but Sophie kept asking about you so I caved."

He laughs and walks into his place to toss her bag in her bedroom, Sophie following him all the way with her arms stretched out. Harry turns and scoops her up while I put some food in his fridge.

"What'd you bring?" he asks, looking into one of the bags I brought in.

"I just brought some groceries," I say, shrugging my shoulders. "We've been eating here a lot so I thought I'd bring you some stuff."

"Savannah." I know where this is going, so I just keep putting stuff away. "Hey, stop." He puts his hand on my arm and makes me look at him, Sophie staring at me as well. "I don't need you buying me food."

"It's for all of us," I defend, not meeting his eyes. He sighs.

"You're a terrible liar, Savannah. I know you're doing this because you think I can't afford it. I can provide for my family."

"It's not that," I reply quickly, surprised at just how much this bruised his ego. I knew it'd bother him a little, but I didn't think he'd be this upset about it. We've been back together a few weeks now and I haven't done anything like this yet. "I just want to make sure we're doing things evenly, you know? If we always eat here then I want to pay for something, too."

"You take care of her too, so when she's at your house then you pay for things. I don't-"

"Harry, relax," I laugh, putting my hand on his arm. He sighs. "I wasn't trying to offend you. I just wanted to help."

"Yeah, I'm sorry." He brushes Sophie's hair out of her eyes and then puts his arm around me to pull me against him. "I'm just a little stressed, I didn't mean to jump down your throat."

"What's going on?"

He shakes his head and smiles half-heartedly. "Nothing. Don't worry about it."

He sets Sophie on the floor and follows her over to her toys. He doesn't even bother putting them away during the week since we're here all the time. Harry has seemed distracted lately, a little on edge and more stressed than he usually is. He snaps a little easier with both of us and his mind is just somewhere else. I've been hesitant to ask him about it, but I want to know what it is. Other than that, though, things have been amazing. We don't argue near as much as we did before we broke up the last time and we're all so much happier this way, especially Sophie. She may be two years old, but she's much more perceptive than you'd think.

"Harry, I brought pork but I forgot that seasoning that you like. Do you have any?"

"Yeah, it's umm...in the cupboard by the fridge maybe?" he says without looking up. Sophie hands him a stuffed animal and the fake excitement on his face makes me laugh. I open the cupboard he was talking about and shut it again, but when I realize what I saw in there I open it again.

"Holy shit," I mutter, looking at all the bottles. I take a few out and read the labels, big complicated names that I don't understand, but I recognize a few of them. Pain killers. "Harry, what is all of this?"

He looks up and his brow furrows. I hold up the bottle in my hand and he sighs, realizing what it is.

"That's nothing," he says simply. He goes back to playing with Sophie and I wait patiently, definitely not done with this conversation. I am not okay with dating a drug addict, if that's what this is.

"Harry."

He says something to Soph and stands up to come over to me. He stands directly in front of me and takes the bottle out of my hands to read the label for himself.

"It's for work," he says simply. "Sore muscles, bad bruises. I don't take them very often."

"For work? Harry you're a trainer and you teach self defence classes to women, how the hell are you getting bruises bad enough for prescribed pain meds?"

He sighs. "Savannah, you have to trust me."

"I do trust you. As long as you aren't lying to me."

He smiles and reaches past me to put the bottle away, then setting his hands on my waist. "I'm not lying, love. I've had those for ages, I barely ever take them. Okay?"

I sigh. "Okay."

"Okay." He kisses me and steps over to the fridge. "Let me make dinner."

"Or," I say, wrapping my arms around his waist, "We can do it together."

"How adorable." He laughs and kisses the top of my head. "I would love that."

"Sophie, you want to help?" I call, taking out some vegetables.

"Yeah!" She runs over and I lift her up to sit on the counter beside the sink.

"Okay, put this under the water for me." I hand her a pepper and she smiles widely and holds it over the sink. Harry smiles at both of us and kisses the back of my head as he passes me to go to the oven. Harry is good at cooking actually, and he's good with meat. He loves this pork; it's not my favourite, but he loves it so I buy it for him.

"Wash, wash, wash," Sophie sings. I look at Harry, trying not to laugh. He chuckles quietly and shakes his head.

"So, I think my mother is coming to New York tomorrow," I tell Harry. "She said she could take Sophie Saturday night for us if we wanted."

"Great. We can-"

A knock on the door interrupts him and we both look at each other. I shrug and he goes to answer the door while I continue handing Sophie vegetables to wash.

"Holy shit," Harry exclaims. I set the food down and pick up Sophie, setting her on my hip and walking over to the door. When I see who is standing there I almost drop my own child.

"There she is!"

"Mason?" He laughs and steps past Harry to me, my one arm immediately wrapped around him. I laugh a little and he squeezes me pretty hard, then takes Sophie out of my arms. "What are you doing here?"

"Came to see my sister of course," he says happily. Sophie's got the biggest smile on her face when he looks at her. "And my favourite girl!" She giggles and Mason tosses her up in the air. "You're getting so big, Soph! You've grown like a foot since I last saw you!"

She laughs again and he grins. Mason adores Sophie, but he doesn't see her near as much as he should. We don't really speak as much as I'd like; I never got over the fights I had with our father, but Mason ended up working for him after he graduated from college early. We have some disagreements about him and it's put some distance between us. I love my brother to death, though, so I would never let that ruin our relationship.

"Is Kylie with you?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"No, she stayed in LA."

"Are you staying with Mom?"

"Yeah, I'm staying at her place. What are you guys up to? I hope I'm not interrupting." He looks at Harry.

"No, we're just making dinner," Harry says, clapping him on the back. "You're welcome to join us."

"Yeah, that'd be great." He looks at Sophie. "Can Uncle Mase eat with you?"

"No!" she shouts. Mason raises his eyebrows.

"Too bad," he says. "I'm staying anyway."

Sophie giggles and he tickles her. He takes her into the living room to play with her and Harry and I go back to making dinner. I had no idea Mason was coming and it's going to be nice to be able to spend time with him and with my Mom this weekend. And finally alone time with Harry. Too bad it's only Thursday.

Harry and I making dinner together makes me feel like an old married couple. We move around like we can read each other's minds, and we can cook together without actually having to talk about what we're making. We can just talk about whatever and we move around like we share a mind.

"Okay, time to eat," Harry announces.

"You can stay here if you want," I tell Mason for the millionth time. Harry takes Sophie to her room to put her in bed and Mason heads for the door.

"No, it's fine. I want to get all my stuff to Mom's and I have a meeting in the morning. I already talked to Mom though. I think I'm going to have lunch with you guys tomorrow."

"Oh, that sounds good. Did Mom say when she was coming?"

"Yeah her flight gets in like early tomorrow morning. I'm not sure." He puts his jacket on and opens the door. "Tell Harry I'll talk to him later. We can go out for drinks or something. Things seem good with you two."

I smile. "Things are amazing. I feel like I have my family back."

"You look happy," he says. "Okay, I'm sure Mom will drill you tomorrow so we can talk then. I'll see you later, okay?"

"Okay, Mase. See you tomorrow."

He nods and steps out of the apartment, and I make sure to lock the door behind him. As I start cleaning up dinner Harry steps out of Sophie's room, running his fingers through his hair.

"Did she give you a hard time?" I ask, laughing at how exasperated he looks.

"She likes to talk," he says, raising his eyebrows. He starts clearing off the table, but I set what's in my hands down and take what's in his.

"I can do this," I assure him. "You can relax."

"No, it's fine. I'll help."

"Harry, you're exhausted." He smiles and I set the plates in the sink, sliding my arms around his neck. "Let me do this."

"If you insist." He kisses me softly. "I'm going to shower, okay?"

"Okay."

He kisses me once more and heads down the hall. This apartment doesn't have a dishwasher, so it takes a little longer to clean up but I don't mind. Sophie was exhausting today, and to be honest doing simple things like this relaxes me. I never thought I'd be the kind of person to say that.

These last few weeks have been incredible. The store is doing amazing, the line is really popular and my mother is so happy with how everything is going for the company. And having Harry next to me while all this is happening is so much better. He gets so excited for me and it makes me feel even better. Having my family together again, even if Harry and I aren't living in the same place, we're together all the time with the three of us and it's incredible. It's been interesting getting here, but I wouldn't give up what we have now for anything.

When I'm finished with the dishes I head to Harry's room to change into something more comfortable. Most people my age are probably partying right now, having wild nights out with their friends, but quiet nights in like this just hanging out with Harry and watching boring reruns is all I could ask for. I'd rather spend all of my time with him.

Harry walks in as I'm tugging my top off, towel hanging low on his waist and curls dripping wet. He looks up as I'm searching for the shirt we was wearing earlier; he always changes when he gets home so his shirt smells like him, but it's not gross and sweaty.

"Where's your shirt?" I ask, digging through the mess on the floor.

"It's in the bathroom," he says. He comes up to me and puts his arms around my waist. "I like the look."

"Jeans and a bra?" I laugh when he nods.

"Yeah, it's sexy."

"Don't get used to it." I try to step away from him but he doesn't let me. "Harry, I need clothes."

"Nah." He dips his head to kiss my neck and I laugh. I try to protest, but it fades quickly and he reaches down to undo the button of my jeans.

Our lips mould together as I stagger back towards the bed and tug off his towel before he falls over with me. He tugs my jeans from my body along with the rest of my clothes and it's almost comical at how quickly our clothes come off.

"We should take a trip somewhere," Harry says absentmindedly, his hand tracing my spine. His heart is still beating fast; I can hear it under my head, my body sprawled on top of his.

"We don't really have time," I say, laughing a little. I lift my head to look at him and he smiles, a lazy smile with one side tugged higher than the other.

"We could make time."

"We have jobs. And a daughter."

He laughs. "Yeah, I remember. I'm just saying, it would probably be good for us."

I kiss his chin and lay back down on his chest, tracing the tattoos on his bicep. "You're probably right."

"It doesn't have to be right now. When it gets colder we could take a vacation or something." He brings my hair around my shoulder. "Just a thought."

"Yeah," I breathe, closing my eyes.

"Are you glad Mason is here?"

"Yeah." I smile to myself. "I haven't seen him in ages. I wish I could go down there more, but it's hard with Sophie."

"We can all go down there. Your Dad would probably want to see her."

My smile fades. "Yeah, probably."

"But...you don't want to...."

"I don't know." I lift my head again and move forward a little, leaning my head on my hand. "I don't want to be selfish, you know? Sophie deserves to know her grandfather and I know he wants to spend time with her, but I just..."

"You're still upset with him," he concludes. I shrug weakly. "He said some horrible things to you, baby, it would make sense."

"I don't want to still be mad at him. Things with my mom are so good, it could be like that with my Dad, couldn't it?"

He smiles. "Yeah, if you want it to."

"I don't know. Sophie should know him, but every time I try to see him and get past what happened I just can't do it. And I don't want to always feel like I'm angry and resentful when I see him. But the annoying thing is that when I make those stupid little jabs at him I feel guilty for them. He was such an ass to me and I still feel guilty."

"Because you're a good person."

"It's annoying," I mumble. He laughs a little.

"It's a good thing," he says, brushing my hair back from my face and tucking it behind my ear. I settle back in and nuzzle my nose against my neck. He kisses my forehead and reaches for my hand on his chest. "I love you, you know that?"

The smile on my face is undeniable whenever he says those three words. I do know it, but hearing him say it always gives me goosebumps.

"I do. I love you, too."
