“One last time.” Louis told me from the other side of the room. “But you said that 5 times ago!” I groaned back at him. I glanced over at the clock to see it was already11 pm and I had been here all day. Lacy and Josh had left hours ago, but Louis healed me back claiming that my powerful voice took more work. I took a deep breath as the music to Skyscraper by Demi Lovato drifted through the room. I sang my heart out. To me, this song described my life. I sang strong thought the whole song. My voice powerful in the high notes at the end. The music ended and I glanced over at Louis to her him shaking his head. “What did I do wrong this time?” I asked annoyed. “Nothing, I just can’t get over your voice.” He told me with a chuckle. “You know they say that people with voices like yours had bad lives and that’s how they got good voices. Is that true for you?” he asked looking down at his paper. “Am I free to go now? Lacy and Jacob are wafting for me so we can go to dinner.” I told him, dodging the question. “Yes you may. Have fun, don’t do anything stupid.” He warned me. I smiled and nodded back to him before quickly turning to leave.

I slipped into my room were Lacy and Jacob were waiting. "Get changed, we are going to a party!" Jacob exclaimed as I closed my door. "Guys I'm tired, I just wasn't to order room service and then sleep." I whined. "No! We were in the lobby and we heard about a party happening on the beach a block from here. All the contestants are going! I am not letting you be a party pooper! We will meet you in the lobby in 15!" Lacy yelled at me before her and Jacob left my room to get ready them. I shuffled over to my bed to see Lacy had already laid an outfit out for me. I entered the lobby were Lacy and Jacob were already waiting. “We said 15 minutes, not 30!” Jacob exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and followed them down out of the hotel and down the street. The California air was extra warm today and just the block to the beach made me start to sweat. We entered the beaches were hundreds of people we crowded. Loud music blasted from a lifeguard tower as the drunken people danced to the beat. “Im going to go get a beer, want to come?” Lacy asked over the music. “I don’t drink!” I her honestly. “Well I do! Ill come.” Jacob butted in. He grabbed her hand and I watched them disappear into the crowd.

I walked slightly down the beach. I was close enough to see people and hear the music, but far enough way the drunks could not see me. I leaned my body back against another lifeguard station, felling the cool wood on my bare back. I closed my eyes and entailed the salty smell on the sea. A sudden pair of hand grabbed my hips and healed me tightly against the wood. “Hey babe!” an intoxicated red head slurred to me. “Pleas leave me allow, im not interested.” I told him as I tried to push his body off me. “But, you see, I am.” He told me holing my hips so tight, I knew it wound leave a bruise. He pressed his body firmly against mine and his hard on dug into my leg. His lips attached my neck as I tried harder to push him of. She stopped kissing my neck, brought his hand back, and hit it hard on my cheek. “Don’t resist slut!” he snarled at me and made his way back to my neck. I squirmed under his body as he hands roomed around mine. A hand slipped into my shorts making me scream out in fright. “Please, stop. Please!” I beaked as tears streamed down my face. Suddenly the mans body was ripped of mine and he was on the ground bleeding. I looked up to see who had saved me. It was my one and only mentor, Louis.
