Over Again

Don't Start Something You Can't Finish

I watched as my mother gave Gracie some tea and a warm blanket. Gracie gave her a weak smile, thanking the dear soul. My mum came back into the kitchen, closing the shutters so she couldn't see or hear us.

"So?" I looked at her expectantly. She sighs.

"It's not good, Zayn. She looks like she's traumatized." I nodded. "She was starved, and she looks like she was beaten a bit." I ran my hand through my hair, no doubt messing it up. I walked through the kitchen and into the living room, where she sat on a couch, listening to something Safaa was saying.

"So then Zayn said-" I covered her mouth.

"Thank you, Saf," I said, "you can go now." The eleven year old rolled her eyes, mouthing something to Gracie. Gracie laughed, blushing a little.

Gracie looked scared to talk to me.

Or was it that she was scared of me?

Nah, I doubt it.

"So..." I said.

"Don't start something you can't finish, Zayn," Gracie said cautiously. I nodded.

You're welcome :)

@SadieMalik
I definitely will at some point! Thanks for reading.

I love it! I usually don't try to tell people about my story, but I have a Zayn story that ended, The Creep Around The Block. And another, Surviving, which is onto the sequel, Something Stronger Than Love. If you'd check them out, I'd be grateful.

that was perfect!!
