"GET OUT!" I say as I point to the door.
"MOM! Kia won't take me to a concert this weekend! Even though
she's going that direction!" my sister Stacey says as she's
running out of my old room. "MOM!"
"Stacey I'm busy this weekend okay! Get over it! Pfft why can't
I be an only child?" I say grabbing the last of my things.
"Where are my boots? Argggh! I gotta get out of here."
"Kia. Come here please." My mom say's from the living room.
"UGHhhh to late. What!" I answer quickly finally finding my
boots and shoving it in my bag.
"Don't 'what' me, come here. Now!"
"Stacey I'm gonna kill you. I am not wasting my Saturday at a
lame concert." Talking to myself I make my way to the living
room "Yes mama?" putting on my good girl smile.
"Honey can you please take your sister with you this weekend?
your father and I are going out of town and we were going to
ask you tonight anyways." she says looking at her eldest
daughter.
Grabbing a pillow and sitting down next to her I look my mom
square in the eye and calmly say "Mom. You know I just came
over to visit and pick up some old stuff. That's it. Now I'm
sure you can take her and she'll have as much fun where ever
you're going." giving her my angel smile.
"Honey, you know your father and I really need this vacation.
I mean your father and I haven't made love in quite some time
now and.."
"EW! Okay mom just stop! I don't want to hear it!" covering my
ears and shaking my head "Nevermind!"
"Thanks sweetie! We'll pay for everything okay. Stacey how much
are the tickets?" she says looking out the room.
"They're $375 each! And the shirts are $35 and water might be
$5!" Stacey says running down the stairs.
"5 dollars! Damn, who is this band you're so desperately
wanting to see?" I say in shock "That's a total rip off! Who
in their right mind would pay 5 freaking dollars for a shitty
bottle of water. I know I wouldnt!"
"Well you don't have to! Mom and dad are." she says pointing
her tounge out at me.
"Yeah just for you cause I'm dropping your butt off there and
picking you up when it's finished. Okay I'm done here and we're
leaving in 15 minutes. Ready or not." I said getting off the
couch and going to pack up my huge duffle bag.
"Kee! You are not just leaving your little sister there at
some rowdy concert." her mom says painting her nails.
"I doubt there's gonig to be any fist throwing mom, that's
a real concert!" I say waiting by the doorway.
"Just because they're not screaming into the mics dosen't
mean they are'nt real musicians I mean come on Kia not all.."
"So you calling my music fake? Ha! You really need to open your
ears and listen to that thing you call music like..eww" I said
dragging my bag out of my room.
"Girls stop arguing and start making some progress! I don't
want you driving home late." Mom say's fixing her hair "Oh this
is going to be a great weekend! I better go pack too!"
"Mom where are you guys going to vacation at anyway?"
"Hawaii." she say's calmly walking up the stairs.
"What? No fair!" I say sitting on the couch. Mad and tired I
wait patiently for Stacey to get the last of her bags.
"I'm ready! Let's go!" Stacey says jumping up and down.
In the car and ready to take off Kia is finding the right
song to start off the 3ish hour drive to Phoenix. "So who
is this band I have to waste an evening for anyway?"
"OH MY GOSH! IT'S ONE DIRECTION!"
"Who?"
