Echos POV:
School was over and i knew i had to head home.
Horror walked me home and I enjoied the time with her before i was seeing my dad.
We stood in front of my house as we said our goodbyes.
I quietly opened the door. My dad was laying in the sofa sleeping.
I think he was sobering up a little. I grapped a plasticbag and started collecting emty beer cans.
When i was done i threw it out to the garbage.
He has junk food all over his face. I took a tissue and started washing his face.
I sat a glass of water on the coffee table and started to wake him up.
"Ehm Emma?" I became a little sad.
"No dad it's me"
"Oh jeez Echo.. i thought you was your mother"'
"I know dad"
"My head hurts"
"Here" i gave him the water and some painkillers.
"Thanks"
My dad wasn't sober alot but when he was it was just like old times.
We would talk and watch movies and just...be.
For a normally teenager that wasn't anything special. But for me it was everything i ever wanted.
Everytime he was sober he would tell me he would stop drinking. I had taught myself never to belive it.
I hated getting disapointed.
We watched a movie and then we went to a cafee.
We each got a hot chocolate and sat down.
"I am really gonna stop drinking this time Echo"
"Thats nice dad" i said politely.
"I mean it Echo, but i could really use some help"
"Like what?" i was getting a little annoyed.
"I need you to..Uhm" he was a little.. nervous?
"To stay home with me a little more.."
"Yeah" I said.
"And uhmm.. Hang out with me and uhmm.. come take me meet some people"
"Make some friends?"
"Yeah"
I was starting to let my gaurd down a little. Maybe he really wanted this.
" I really want a life Echo" he said as if he had read my mind.
The day slide and we had a great time together.
And when the day was over and it as getting dark was afraid to go to bed.
Affaid to wake up to my dad lying on the couch.. Drunk.
He came into my bedroom and sat on my bed.
"Í know your'e afraid but i promise you to be sober when you wake up"
"Okay dad" and with that he left my room and i felt asleep.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rce when i gave the word.
Now in the morning i sleep alone.
Sweep the streets i used to own.

My phone woke me up i didn't look at the display before answering,
"Hello?"
"Hello? Echo where are you? School started 10 minutes ago!"
I quickly sat up
"Sorry Horror i overslept, i'm on my way"
I hung up and got out of bed:
