Untold Secrets

Chapter One

Jace's POV

It's been years since we've seen Niall. I haven't seen him since I was thirteen. I'm nineteen now, hi. I'm Jace, if you don't remember.

I haven't had a vision lately, and I haven't had the need to use my 'thought sending' powers. but whatever. We're out of highschool now!

Well, sort of.

"Happy last day!" Louis shouted while running down the hall of the Institute. Yes, we're all still living here. "I'm so ready for not going to school anymore!" Louis dropped his school books into a trash in the kitchen.

One.

"Someone's happy," Zayn groaned as he walked into the kitchen. I smiled.

Two.

"Hi boys! Zayn, the Advil's on the counter," I said. Zayn had been drinking last night. "Here." I handed him some water. He smiled before plunging the two pills into his mouth and taking a swig of water.

"Lezgo," Liam shouted as he straitened his jacket. He ha been up before I had, ironing his pants and all that jazz.

Three.

"Can't we just skip today? I'm done with school!" Harry walked in the kitchen, a leather jacket draped on his shoulder.

Four, no five.

"Boys! Did you NOT see the breakfast I slave over?!" I scorned them. I had often up am hour earlier than usual to make eggs, bacon, omelets, pancakes, waffles, and anything else that you could consider 'breakfast food.'

Niall would have seen it.

I mentally scorn myself for thinking of him. I've been thinking of him for about six years, since he ran away. I was done with it! Over! Finished!

"Oh! I didn't even see that! Thank you, Jace!" Louis comes over to me and gives me a bear hug. The others do the same, then grab plates and dig in. I sigh.

"Delicious! I didn't know you could cook," Zayn says through a stuffed mouth. I smile, looking at my best friends. Four. Ones missing, though. One I've yet to see in six years.

Niall's missed so much. All our birthdays, first cars, first jobs. I wonder what he's been up to. Where he is. I couldn't read his mind. It's like it's blocked by something. For all I know, he could be dead.

But somehow, I know he isn't.

"So Jace, are you coming to our auditions?" I snap back to reality.

Confused, I say: "What auditions?"

"For XFactor," Liam says slowly. "We've told you about a thousand and one times!" The boys start complaining, and considering there's four of them, I try my best.

"Okay okay! I'll go! Just... Stop complaining!" The boys cheer.

Ding!

"Oh! That's the timer! We're gonna miss the bus soon! Let's go, Graduates!" I stand up, smiling.

"And Harry," Liam throws in. We all roll our eyes, because surpringly, Harry didn't stay back any grades. But secretly, I think he set it up.

Notes

So, what's you guys think? If you haven't read the first book, this won't make any sense! I recommend reading that one!
