Through the Dark

Waking up I knew today was going to be a good day. Clothes packed, wallet full, and hair actually in its' place I head down to the kitchen to eat my breakfast. DeeDee my roommate and best friend is at her boyfriends house today and I feel sad I won't get to say goodbye. It's not like I'll be gone forever but we always talk to each other and a whole week without her would be weird.

Looking at my phone I realize it's almost time for my flight to see my big brother Jeremy. He rarely has time for us since he got the big promotion at his job. Now he's the famous Jeremy Jake from KIIS-FM radio station, L.A.'s hippest music spot. Thinking back to our childhood we were always together making trouble where ever we go. Now I can't remember the last time we saw each other in person. Luckily he has invited me to stay over at his place so we can finally visit and this being my spring break I decide to go.

Three hours later I'm standing outside LAX trying to wave down a taxi. Calling Jeremy he gives me the address to his house and his pass codes to get in. Another hour later I am all settled in and get another call from DeeDee who is shocked I'm not home. After 30 minutes of talking it's almost 5 o'clock and still Jeremy is not home yet. Worried, I give him a call.

"Hey Sar sorry I'm not home yet I got caught up in my work and I have to stay till it is finished. I'm sorry" Rolling my eyes I try very hard not to sound sarcastic.

"That's fine Jer I'm tired anyway I travel 2 whole hours to spend time with you and it just sounds like you're at a party. Well I hope you have fun! See you in the morning." Click. I hang up on him and proceed to my guest bedroom and before you know I'm in a deep sleep.
