The Baby on Tour

*Louis POV* "Are comfortable?" I hear an unfamiliar voice talking "Very thank you" Claire responds "We have rooms down stairs for dads to sleep in if he would like" the voice speaks again "Good luck getting him to leave my side except to go see the baby" "You've got a good man" "Thank you I sure do" I hear Claire say before the door opens and shuts "Louis" I hear Claire call "Hmm?" I groan opening my eyes "Why don't you go get some sleep back at the hotel "Leave you and the baby?" I ask "I'm not leaving unless you and Genevieve comes with me " "You need to get sleep babe" she gives me a pleading look "Where is Genevieve?" I ask changing the subject "The nursery the nurses will bring her when she needs fed" she explains "in the mean time go get some rest please" I stand up "I'm not leaving you" I says "Then get in" She say lifting up the covers I kick my shoes off climbing with her she lays her head on my shoulder "Some one is hungry" a nurse says walking in with Genevieve "Is she?" Claire asks trying to be excited holding her arms out for her. She readjust to get positioned "Hold her head up a little bit more so she faces you more but not to much where she can't breath" the nurse encourages Claire "My god she latched" Claire says excitedly "Mhm works every time" the nurse says smiling "either that or they get hungry enough to latch on quickly" I laugh softly at her joke "Well your my hero to day" Claire says yawning "Nothing to it I'll come back in a few minutes to get her and take her back unless you want her in here the rest of the night we still come check on them" "Yeah can we keep her in here" Claire smiles "Sure thing" she says pulling the holder closer to Claire's side of the bed before walking out "Louis I love her so much" "Who the nurse" "No Genevieve!" Claire says laying her head on my shoulder again my phone buzzes "Mum and Lots just landed" I say "she says they are just going to go to the hotel so they can sleep and let us rest" I read the text to her "Oh that's nice of them" Claire say as she lays Genevieve in the holder she fusses but calms down quickly "Yeah I guess so" I say looking at my phone replying "What you want them here right now?" Claire ask laying back closing her eyes "No I guess not exactly" I say and see that Claire is already asleep I smile brushing hair out of her face gently I lay my head back closing my eyes about to fall asleep before I hear crying and sit up quickly looking over and seeing Genevieve crying I get up quickly scooping her into my arms slowly rocking back and forth trying to get her to stop crying before Claire wakes up. "Genevieve shhh" I whisper "your gonna wake mummy up" I gently whisper A nurse walks in and smiles when she sees me "Want some help?" She asks whispering "I'd love some" I whisper back "my wife just fed her I'm not sure when she was last changed she was in the nursery" "Alright well if she just ate she probably doesn't need changed I think she just wants some skin contact" "Some what?" I ask "Here let me hold her take your shirt off." She says taking Genevieve "baby develop mentally and physically with human contact and its best for skin to skin contact when they are first born" she says as she takes Genevieve's onesie off and I take my shirt off "sit down in the chair" she says as Genevieve cries "here you go now gently run your hand over her back" she says handing me Genevieve and I do as she tells me After a minute Genevieve is asleep on my chest and the nurse smiles "I'll leave you to it" she says walking away "Well we got that done once we don't need to tell mummy about the help from the nurse ~next morning~ "Louis Louis" I hear my name called gently and I blink my eyes open seeing Genevieve still in my arms and Claire in bed smiling at me "Hey babe" I smile leaning over to kiss her "Morning your mum texted they are on their way" "Great" I smile "Did you get her onesie and your shirt off all by your self?" Claire asks as I stand hand Genevieve to her "If I'm honest no a few minutes after you fell asleep she woke up crying wanting to be held and the nurse helped" I say as Claire starts feeding Genevieve I stare at her chest even though it's covered "Louis stop " she says "I'm sorry I was just mesmerized " "Go change so I can get out of this dress before mum and Lots gets here" "Okay okay" I say grabbing our over night bag and going to the bathroom "Oh my gosh she is gorgeous" I hear in my mums voice as I walk out of the bathroom "Mum!" I say walking over she turns to me tears in here eyes as she hugs me "Louis babe can you burp her while I change?" Claire asks "Yes of course" I take the spit up blanket then Genevieve gently patting as Claire gets up "I left the bag in there" "Okay thank you" Claire walks into the bathroom and Lottie fallows her I keep patting Genevieve till I feel her burp "There we go doesn't that feel better baby?" I ask pulling her down off my shoulder "Hi sorry to interrupt" our doctor says walking in "but I just wanted to ask a few questions" "Um yeah Claire is changing and will be out in a minute but I can answer what I can" "Great" he says looking at his clipboard "Genevieve has been all checked by me and by our pedestrian and a nurse and she is perfect. You plan to leave tomorrow correct " "Yes" I nod my head as Claire walks out "Great Claire are you ready for your final check up?" "Um yeah sure" she says smile "hi mum please stay till I get back " "Of course " she says as Claire walks out "okay let me hold that baby"
