I got up and got dressed. I thought about last night. I couldn't believe that it had actually happened. Liam kissed me. The craziest part was, I missed it. Since it happened, I have just been dreaming of his lips pressed against mine and wishing that it could happen all over again. It was weird. Liam was just one of my friends, why were these feelings taking me over all of a sudden? I brushed my teeth and went into the living room to find Niall watching TV.
Me: Morning Niall
Niall: Morning Shay!
I grabbed a water from the fridge and plopped down beside him on the couch. He was watching some documentary on the Beatles. I zoned out looking at the TV, but thinking about Liam.
Niall: Shay?
I snapped back to reality.
Me: Yes
Niall: What's up?
Me: What do you mean?
Niall: I mean your mind is in another world. What happened?
I shook my head and acted innocent.
Me: Nothing. I'm just kind of out of it.
He nodded slowly and suspiciously.
Niall: If you say so.
We watched something else for a while before there was a knock at the door.
Niall: Come in!
These boys really need to lock their doors. With all the crazy fans they have, it's a wonder that they don't wake up to 10 girls surrounding their beds. The door opened and Harry and Louis walked in. Louis jumped over the couch and landed very close to me.
Louis: Morning beautiful!
He squeezed me and kissed me.
Me: Louis! Get off!
We laughed and he let me go, but his arm was still on the back of the couch behind me and he was still sitting extremely close. Harry came in and sat on the armrest.
Me: What? No kiss from you?
He raised his eyebrows.
Harry: You want one?
Me: No. Just give mine to Mandy.
I turned back to the TV. I knew that his face was scrunched into a frown and that he was holding back a retort.
Louis: Who is Mandy?
He looked back and forth between us, confused.
Harry started, but I cut him off.
Me: His new slut.
Louis turned to Harry and I knew that they were having a silent conversation, but I just focused on the TV. There was another knock at the door, followed by Zayn and Melissa coming in.
Zayn: Morning everyone.
Me: Hey Zayn! Hey Mel!
We all greeted each other and Melissa made Louis move to sit next to me. We talked for a while about random things and the guys must have been talking about activities because soon Louis interrupted us.
Louis: How do you ladies feel about going to the beach this afternoon?
Me: That sounds great!
Niall: Can you see if Rose and Brooke want to join us for the day?
Me: Sure! I will go call them right now.
I got up and called them. They were both excited and soon all the arrangements were made. They would meet us there in a few hours. I went back and as I walked into the room I heard Harry talking to the guys.
Harry: Mandy is going to meet us there.
Me: Oh goody!
My voice was full of sarcasm. He gave me a look and I gave it right back to him. He bugged the crap out of me now. I can't believe that we lasted as long as we did. We all talked for a while and then we left to change. I wore a tank over my bikini and board shorts. I grabbed my Ray Bans before I went back into the living room to find all of them, including Liam, standing there with t-shirts over their suits. Melissa had a pretty sundress on over her bikini. I smiled at Liam and he smiled and winked back. I felt my cheeks get hot and I turned to avoid detection. I couldn't believe that this was happening. Soon we all piled in the van and we were off for the beach. When we got there, Brooke and Rose were waiting in Rose's car. I ran over and hugged both of them.
Me: I've missed you guys so much!
Rose: We've missed you too!
Brooke: It hasn't been the same without you.
Rose: We have so much catching up to do!
Me: No kidding! A little heads up, Harry's new play toy is coming today.
Brooke: He already has someone else?!?
Me: Well it's more of a some/thing/ but yes.
Rose: I'm so sorry.
Me: It's really ok, but we will talk about it later.
We changed the subject as Louis came over, nearly tackling Brooke in a forceful kiss. Niall gently pulled Rose into a long kiss as well. I stood there awkwardly while the two couples made out.
Me: Well not that this isn't fun, but I'm going to go swimming.
Rose pulled away from Niall and blushed. Louis waved his hand behind him without breaking apart from Brooke, telling me to go away.
Me: Jerk
He ignored me and the rest of us went to the water. It felt so good on my skin. I came up from underwater feeling so refreshed when the little devil pulled up. Her cover-up was completely see-through and her little pink bikini that was clearly too small just made her look even more like a hooker. Me: Get a room
Harry shot me a look and Mandy gave me an evil little smile as if to say that she had taken him from me. Please! He was like leftovers at this point. I smiled coyly back and then turned to focus my attention back on the rest of the group. We had a great time hanging out together and just getting to talk. Liam came up behind me and put his hands on my eyes.
Me: Who is it?
I heard Brooke from in front of me, laughing.
Brooke: Guess
I put my hands on the hands that were on my face.
Me: Louis?
He didn't move.
Me: Liam?
Suddenly I could see again and I spun around to face him as he took a step towards me. We bumped into each other awkwardly and then our conversation was mostly stutters as we spoke over each other. I finally shut up and he just smiled at me.
Liam: You are beautiful.
I blushed and shook my head before I took his hand and pulled him back to the others with me. I was next to Rose and she elbowed me.
Rose: So, um, Liam...
She trailed off and I stopped her.
Me: No. Nothing is going on.
Rose: I think you two would be a super cute couple.
I looked at him and saw his cute smile as he laughed with the guys. I shrugged.
Me: Maybe, but it will never happen.
Rose: Never say never.
I sighed. I wish.
