More Than Friends
Chapter 7
Harry’s POV
I opened the door quickly, I really hoped that whoever it was they didn’t sense what me and Katie had been up to.
'Harry.' Exclaimed the four guys that were stood at my door.
'Hi guys.' I replied, Louis was quick to hug me and the others followed. I turned around to see Katie was hiding behind the doorframe.
'Come in guys.' I said. 'Harry, we haven't seen you in days, it feels like years. So what have you been up to…' Asked Niall, but his sentence slowly drifted off as he turned and saw Katie.
'Oh… Hi, sorry boys, I didn't realise you were coming over.' Katie said.
'No its fine.' replied Liam. The boys sat down on the sofa, and I sat in the chair across from Katie, we didn't really look at eachother, because it just felt awkward, really awkward.
'So Katie, how is Jack? He's leaving soon isn't he.' asked Louis. Now you've don't it, Lou, he really puts his foot in things sometimes. Katie was quick to reply 'Um yea, he actually left this morning.'
Louis slumped into the sofa, he looked guilty. ‘Sorry, I didn’t reali…’ Katie shook her head at him, ‘Its ok, he was an… Idiot anyway.’ All the boys looked at Katie in shock.
'What do you mean, an idiot?' asked Zayn. Katie looked at me, 'You didn't tell them.' I shook my head. 'We broke up… You saw the papers didn't you?' she told them, all the boys nodded their head.
'We thought you guys made up.' said Niall.
'No we didn't, he got all angry and… I guess he wasn't the kind of person I thought he was.' she replied. I got up and made my way to the kitchen, 'You guys want a drink?' I asked. They all nodded.
'Tea?' I asked them and again they nodded. I made the tea hastily and made my way over to the sofa, where they were all sat.
I gave them their drinks and sat next to Katie, we were both squished together but it was ok. ‘So have you been staying at Harry’s?’ asked Liam.
I looked at Katie and she replied to Liam, ‘Yes, he has been looking after me, I was thinking about going back home… But I might just find a place here in London.’ Liam nodded his head.
'You were gonna go back home?' I asked Katie. 'Oh yea, but I'm not now.' she replied, winking at me but so the others couldn't see. 'Anyway, Harry I caught up with a friend the other night and she wanted to meet you, I think you'd make a great couple.' Louis said, winking at me.
What was I going to do? I still had not told them about Katie. ‘Oh, yeah… About that, I kinda have a girlfriend…’ I trailed off. All the boys heads looked up staring at me in shock,
'And when were you going to tell us this, or were you going to get married and have kids and then tell us?' Asked Louis, his tone was sarcastic but harsh all the same.
'Calm down, Lou, and yes I was going to tell you, but… I didn't know when.' I replied.
'So who's the lucky girl?' asked Niall, winking at me. 'Well you already know her, and we have been friends for a while…' I turned to look at Katie and I planted a kiss on her cheek, She giggled and smiled at me.
'Katie…. Awww, you two love birds, you make me so proud, my babies are all grown up!!!' Cried Louis, walking over to the chair we were in and hugging us tightly.
'Ewww, but Harry be careful, you don't wanna hurt the girl, look at her neck… There's love bites everywhere.' He added, I looked at Katie's neck and it was true, her neck was pretty covered in red marks, from me. 'And you have them too!!' Niall cried.
The guys began to laugh hysterically repeating the same words over and over again ‘you have them too…’. After a while of chatting and laughing, the boys had to go, we all had to get a good nights sleep ready for our busy schedule ahead of us.
Katie’s POV
'Well that was fun, I'm happy you've told the boys now… I guess we just need to tell our families now.' I told Harry, he nodded. 'I was actually thinking about travelling home to Bristol, on the weekend, you want to come?' I asked Harry.
'Yeah sure, I haven't seen your family in ages.' He replied. 'I'll just have to check with Paul.' he added.
If you’re wondering why we are going to Bristol when we went to school in Cheshire, then here’s the story… When I was born my mum was at University in Bristol, she fell pregnant after a one night stand with my Dad.
She had to tell him through the telephone but he said he would do anything he could to help for when I came along, My dad was from Bristol and my mum was from Cheshire, so when I was born, there was some debate over where and who I would live with, My mum decided it would be best for me if I was brought up in Cheshire, because my mums family were more well off and, my mum didn’t to have to move all the way to Bristol even though she wasn’t with my dad at the time.
Because my mum was still at uni while I was a baby, I spent most of my days with my Dad, so I caught his Bristolian accent and have had it ever since.
I lived in Cheshire, but still visited my dad, I went to school with Harry and then my Mum and Dad got back together and my twin Brother and Sister were born. When I left school my parents decided to move to Bristol permanently because My Mums parents had died and we didn’t really have any family there anymore.
I then moved out here to London, Met up with Harry, and the rest is History… Phew I’m glad I am done explaining.
'Yep, everything's fine, me and the boys don't have anything on so I can come to Bristol with you. Is it nice… Ya know Bristol, I've never been there before.' Harry asked.
'If it wasn't nice, would I have lived there?' I replied. Harry shrugged his shoulders, giving me that 'well I guess' look. I could tell he was nervous, he hadn't seen my parents in ages, and actually neither had I, I hadn't spoken to my mum in over a week.
'I'll give her a quick ring.' I said, Harry nodded. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called my Mum.
She answered. ‘Hi mum how are you?’ I asked.
‘Oh hi, sweetheart, I’m good thanks, how are you, how is London? How is everyone?’ she replied. ‘I’m fine, everyone’s fine, and London is beautiful as always.’ I looked at Harry who was watching me smiling.
'Hows Jack? Did he go to Australia, are you ok about that?' she asked. This was really not the right place and right time talk about Jack, especially not in front of Harry.
'Yeah, it was ok, he was upset but, yeah… I haven't heard from him since he text me to tell me he had landed though.' I replied. 'Oh…' I heard my mum say.
'So mum I was going to come down this weekend, if that's ok with you?' I told her, hoping she would say yes. 'Oh, goody, I was actually going to ask you if you wanted to visit any time soon.'
I nodded my head at Harry and he immediately shot me a huge grin, he walked over to me and grabbed my free hand, he pulled it up to his mouth and kissed it softly. I giggled slightly.
'What are you laughing at?' My mum asked. 'Oh nothing, don't worry…. Just the uh…TV, I was laughing at the TV.' I replied, I hadn't yet told her that me and Harry were an item, I was planning on surprising her when I arrived at home.
'Oh cool what are you watching?' She asked, Urgh my mother annoys me sometimes. 'Friends.' I said.
'Oh mum also I'm bringing Harry with me, he hasn't got work this weekend and he said he'd really like to see Bristol and see you and the family again, because he hasn't seen you in ages.' I told her.
'Ok, that's great, I haven't seen our Harry in ages, we can catch up.' she replied, I nodded my head at Harry and he clenched his fist and mouthed 'get In'.
'Yh we can, anyway mum I need to go now. See you Friday!' I said. 'Bye darling.' I put down the phone and was pulled into a hug by harry, he buried his head into the crook of my neck and began kissing my neck.
I felt butterflies fill my stomach.
These were Harry butterflies.
