More Than Friends
Chapter 19
Katie’s POV
My hands shook as I watched Harry on stage.
After waking up earlier and confessing my love to Harry, the boys had gone on stage for their show, and I was watching from the side anxiously.
The show was almost finished, they were about to sing their last few songs when harry spoke.
"I just wanted to confess something." He spoke slowly, I watched as he ran his fingers through his hair and slowly walked in my direction.
"There’s this girl, who some of you may know of." He locked eyes with mine and smiled.
"And, I’m in love with her. I always have been, and always will be." Harry came closer to the steps near where I was standing and looked out to the crowd again.
"We hit a rough edge a few weeks ago and I didn’t know what to do with myself, I needed her back so badly that, I couldnt take it anymore." He slowly lifted the bottom of his shirt up.
"So I got this tattoo." I gasped, Harry had gotten a tattoo for me? Why would he do this, he didn’t need to.
I continued watching Harry as he ran his fingers over his right hip where the new ink was.
"It says ‘Its you. Its always been you.’ and I mean it by this tattoo, it always has been you Kate, and I want it to always stay that way." I ran up the steps and onto the stage, being engulfed in a hug by a very sweaty Harry.
"I never want you to leave, because if you do, you’ll have to take my heart with you." He whispered in my ear.
A loud Aww was coming from the crowd, Harry and I looked out to the audience, still attached to each other and smiled.
"I think I’m tearing up." Came a voice from the other side of the stage, Niall.
"Anyway…." Liam chipped in, me and Harry let go of each other and Harry kissed me on the cheek softly and lead me off stage to carry on watching.
"Who doesn’t know they’re beautiful?" Louis yelled.
A loud roar came from the crowd, I looked over at Harry and he poked his tongue out at me, only for me to imitate his actions and poke mine out as well.
"Well, we aint singing that one yet so… Fooled ya." Zayn Chuckled.
The boys made heir way up the steps and sat down in their places.
Harry gazed over at me and smiled sweetly.
Niall began to strum on his guitar as the boys sang, when it got to Harry’s part he looked directly at me.

Harry’s solo was over but he kept his gaze on me, never looking away, barely even blinking.

At the end of the song the crowd roared and Harry and the boys, got up off of the steps and stood back onto the stage.
Harry’s eyes darted towards mine and he waved.
'I love you' I mouthed to him.
'I love you too' he mouthed back.

Harry’s POV
Me and the boys exited the stage, the crowd had been amazing, and that was by far my favourite show we have ever done.
It was because Katie was here.
I walked down the steps to be engulfed in to a hug by Katie, who hadn’t stopped watching all night, she hadn’t even left to go and get a drink or a snack, she had been by the side of the stage the whole time.
For me.
"You were amazing." She spoke softly, her head against my chest I snaked my arms around her waist and kissed her on the cheek.
"No you were." I replied. "Thank you for coming back, I have felt like I was going to die, last week."
Katie pulled out of the hug and looked to her feet. “We need to talk.” She said slowly, her gaze met mine and she smiled shyly.
I nodded, I just prayed she would take me back, because I have already forgave her for not telling me about the baby.
I lead her to my dressing room, where she sat down on the sofa. I sat on the chair across from her and waited for her to speak.
"I don’t think we should go out with each other." She spoke softly.
My head dropped and my heart sank as she said those words.
"We should just date, not rush into things like last time. We haven’t even been on a date Harry." I watched as she fiddled with her hair, twiddling it around the ends of her small fingers.
"So what you’re saying is we should just be friends, like we used to and go on a few dates and see how that pans out?" I replied.
"Yeah, we rushed into things last time and I think that we need to build on our relationship as friends before we try anything new, we might find that we prefer being friends, rather than ‘together’." she said, using air quotes at the end of her sentence.
"So does that mean I don’t get to kiss you and hug you?" I questioned.
"Yeah, you can hug me, as long as it’s not amorously and I guess you can kiss me on the cheek to say hello and goodbye, but nothing more." She looked just as upset as I did, we both knew this had to happen though.
"Can I at least get one last kiss?" I asked.
Katie nodded and stood up, she walked towards me and sat on my lap, running her fingers through my hair, she brought her legs round so she was now straddling me and slowly brought her lips to mine.
The kiss was deep, and long, she soon asked for entrance, so I allowed her to. Our tongues danced together, almost in rhythm. I placed my hands on her waist as the kiss got more passionate, but Katie soon broke off the kiss, knowing it would go to far if she didn’t.
I watched her intently as she rose from my lap, wiping her lips with the back of her hand as she went. When she reached the door she turned to look at me, still sat in the chair, and t-shirt slightly askew from our heated kiss a few moments ago.
"Later Haz." Katie turned and left the room confidently, although I knew, she wouldn’t be so confident after she had gone. I could hear small sobs from the corridor outside, just like me.
My tears ran down my cheeks, landing on my t-shirt, creating a growing puddle of tears.
But we both knew we had to deal with it, I heard the sobs get quieter, realizing I was now able to leave my dressing room, without bumping into Katie because she had left.
Zayn’s POV
I was about to go to the toilet when I felt my phone buzz ferociously in my pocket. 3 text messages from Harry.
Z, I need your help.
Like now would help, its about Kate.
Please mate, I need some advice.
I made my way to Harry’s dressing room, he was sprawled out on the sofa with red eyes and his knuckles bleeding, quickly skimming the room, I saw a large hole in the wall, realizing that this was clearly where the blood was from.
Harry’s head perked up when he heard the door open.
"Hi Zayn." He said quietly. Sitting up properly on the sofa and moving over so I could take a seat beside him.
"I cant do it Zayn." I looked at Harry confused, he hadn’t even told me what had gone down between the two of them.
"She ended it, well, she just said we should just date, then see how things pan out." Harry rubbed his eyes with his index finger.
"How do you feel about that?" I asked Harry.
Harry rose from his seat and reached down towards the table and hit it over in anger, his face bright red and fuming whilst his muscles tightened on his arms.
He walked over to the door before opening it and turning around to face me, eyes swollen and jaw tight.
"What do you fucking think?" The door slammed behind him, leaving me sat slightly startled at what had just gone on.
