Niall's POV
We were finally at the last stop. Well one of the last stops. We are in Texas currently on our way to Atlanta. I've been spending a lot of time with the guys, and at jewelry stores. I've been on a mad search for the perfect ring. A ring fit for a princess or a queen, because that's what she is to me. We were at yet another ring shop. Harry and Liam were with me. "Niall c'mon one of these has to be the perfect one." I look at Liam and just glare. He doesn't get it. Harry is looking, he's talked to Penny about what Clary likes. Penny has poked and prodded about what Clary would love. And Liam was here because well he was a direct line to Nicole. He was on picture sending duty. Liam's phone buzzes. "Yea? No…what? Okay okay babe I'll tell him." He got off the phone and looked at me. "Apparently Clary has a thing for vintage rings." I look at him and hug him.
"Finally you're helpful! Okay I can work with this." I head over to a clerk and ask him for any vintage rings or if he knew a good shop. We were directed towards one in downtown. There were camera's everywhere but its fine since Penny and Nicole were in on this so…they knew Harry and Liam weren't the ones shopping. We burst into the store. The woman looks up and I swear I have seen those eyes somewhere. A thick Russian accent sounds. "Ah what can I do for you? Rings I am assuming?" I go over and look at her.
"Uh yea…engagement rings…" She smiles and I swear its like an older Clary. I watch her very carefully. She was older…but her eyes were just like Clary's.
"Here you go Mr. Horan…the finest rings I have." I smile at her…then I call the boys over. The older lady went to the back.
"Okay does she look familiar at all? The lady?" They shake their head, still looking at the rings. Liam was sending pictures to Nicole.
"Niall we have never been to Russia…that lady is clearly Russian." I nod then focus my attention on the rings. The lady comes back. I look up and decide to prod.
"I'm sorry I didn't catch your name ma'am." She smiles at me.
"My name is Antonina…this Clary of yours is very special." I smile at her and nod. She then takes off a ring on her hand.
"Here…give her this. It is from the Wolffsson clan…the last of the European Russian rulers before the palace was seized. All of this is from that family but this was the Queen's engagement ring." She looks at me and motions for my hand. She places it in my hand and smiles. I look at the ring. It was stunning…Clary would love it. "Liam…send this to Nicole." He nods and then Nicole calls and Liam just hands the phone to me.
"Niall that's the one. She will love it! Where did you find that? Its amazing. That’s the one." I smile and thank her. Then I turn to Antonina.
"How much?" She just smiles and shakes her head.
"For you…marrying your Саншайн…nothing." We all just gape at her. What did she just say? No way could she not want money.
"What? No I can't just take this. How much?" She smiles at me and god Clary floats to my mind.
"Tell you what…Niall Horan…I would love to meet this Clary of yours…very much." I nod at her then she hands me a box for the ring. I hug her and thank her again. The boys and I walk out of that place feeling very good. I check my phone to see that Clary has called. Then I realize where I've seen that woman before…she looks like the girl version of Clary's dad. "Hey sorry no cell service…no we are heading back right now. Uh…I can't talk about that with you Clary…don’t squeal like that…I'm hanging up now…NO! Yes I'll see you later…love you too." Liam just smiles at me. He knows that Clary assumes all this ring shopping is because Liam is going to propose to Nicole. We get back to the hotel and Clary comes running over to Liam. "Can I see it?! Why haven't I been consulted?! Please Liam lemme see!" He just glares at me while I quickly escaped to put the ring away. I get to our room and take off my jacket. Clary rarely goes through my things. So I roll up the coat and put it on my bed. I get a call from Liam saying that we had to talk. Great. So I head down and Clary was there with Penny. She comes over and kisses me. I hold her very close. "Mmm…what was that for?"
"Nothing can't I kiss my boyfriend without a reason?" I smile and Liam is looking at us.
"I've got to go but you don't go anywhere okay? I'll be back very soon." I kiss her again and she just smiles at me. I go over to Liam and he pulls me out the door.
"Okay lips sealed Horan got it?" I look at him and nod. I am so confused right now.
"I…I want to marry Nicole okay? And this ring shopping is…making me realize that. I just need some time because…Nicole sometimes she distances herself…you know?" I sit down and look at him. I'm just hear to listen to him.
"Okay so what does this have to do with me?" He looks at me and sighs.
"Nicole's parents only married because of her. They just got divorced. Her parents hated each other for most of her life…Clary says that's why she's skittish of marriage…all for it for others but for her…I'm just scared she'll say no." I look at him and I've never seen him this shaken up since he thought Sophia was cheating on him.
"Hey Nicole will say yes…she adores you. Just wait okay?" He laughs and nods. We get up and head back to our room. Time to shove off.

Clary's POV
Penny and I get up to the rooms, I head to our room and pack up the rest of my stuff. Then I head to Niall's because I know he hasn't been in there long enough to pack. I get in there and see his jacket all rolled up on his bed. God he is so messy. I unroll it and something falls out. A ring box…wait a minute…why would Niall have a ring box? I sit down on the bed. I turn it over and over in my hands. Then I realize…that's why he's been acting all secretive…all those trips to the ring stores…it was for me. He was looking for an engagement ring for me. I smile at the box and open it. Then I gasp and the door flies open. Niall comes in and sees me. "Clary! What aw…man now it's--"
"Where did you get this ring Niall?" He looks confused. I just stare at the ring.

"I like your ring Grammy." She smiles at me and takes it off to let me hold it. It was the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. Even prettier than my mommy's engagement ring.
"You like it Саншайн? Tell you what little one…when your future husband wants to marry you…I'll give him this ring and then you can give it to your daughter when she is ready for marriage." I smile and nod thanking Grammy. Then she looks at the grass.
"Tell me Саншайн, how do you see grass?" I look at the grass and pick at it then hold it up to Grammy, her ring still on my finger.
"There are different shades of green. It likes the wind…then it moves like a wave then. So pretty when it moves like a wave. Its darker on one side and lighter on the other because of the sun. See?" She laughs and brushes my hair.
"Yes I see…you are very observant. Like your mother. Paint me something pretty? I love your drawings Clarissa. I have them all you know?" I smile then grab my notepad and start drawing the pasture.

"I got it…at a vintage store…downtown…it's from Russia…the Europe Russia…umm the Wolffsson clan? It was the queen's." I look at him again. Then at my grandmother's ring.
"WHERE? Give me the address! Now! Niall please." I feel the tears coming…He tells me and I bolt. I call up my mom on the way. Penny is down there with Harry. "Hey! Clarissa…what's wrong? Uh no…Clarissa…is Niall…" I don't hear the rest because I'm out on the street.
"Clarissa! Darling how nice--"
"She's alive Mom…Grandma…she's alive."
"What? honey slow down…where are you?"
"Texas…Dallas I think…I'm going to the store right now…meet us at home."
"Okay baby…I'll get on a flight." I hang up and get into a taxi. I go there and see the name of the store: Sunshine's Gifts. I run in there and lay eyes on a woman I saw buried. I run right into her arms.
"Я так по тебе скучала малыша" (I've missed you so much little one) I cry into her arms.
"Я скучал по тебе тоже бабушку . Как вы...он хотел бы видеть вас." (I've missed you too Grandma. How did you...he would want to see you) She nodded and kissed my head.
"Take me to see him…you know little one…I am very mad that you and Richard went back for the funeral and went to the palace. Very naughty." I just smile so happy to hear her thick Russian accent stumble over English words.
"It was his idea…said it was our duty. Come on…we have a plane to catch." She nods then says she has to clean up first.
"Got to hide the stuff…you know make it look like this place has been closed for a while. Come on you can help. No servants anymore Саншайн." I smile and gladly follow her to help. We stash most of the valuable stuff in a very high quality safe. Before the attack they wired all their money to my dad's accounts. But probably not all…Grandma probably sold some things and maybe had a secret stash for this. We were in the airport about to board when Niall called.
"Clary why are you at an airport with the shop owner? Where the hell are you going? I'm on my way stay right there."
"Niall I have to go…I'm about to board. And the shop owner is my grandmother."
"That woman is Russian! Clary don’t you get on that plane."
"I have to…Niall…please don't come."
"Too late! I'm already here. What gate are you in? You know if getting married freaked you out this much…YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME!" I start to cry because I feel like I gained my grandmother but losing Niall.
"Why would you--" Then I hear my name and see him running over. My grandmother waves. I hang up and wait for him to get over here.
"You are a very sick woman! Kidnapping my girl! C'mon Clary we are going…" He went to grab me but I moved.
"Niall I would like you to meet Antonina Wolffsson. The queen of West Russia, and my grandmother." I give him the ring box. He just gapes at us.
"What?! No…but your grandparents…your dad is…then you are…but…" Our flight was called again.
"I have to go but I'll be back okay?" Then I leave him there. It wasn't a long flight to Green Bay.

When we get there my mom tells us what hotel she was at.
"Alexandra! So good to see you." My mom runs over and hugs her.
"We all thought…it's good to see you. Shall we go? You know Antonina…you could've called us." My grandmother just laughed.
"Yes I could've…but Richard was so happy living like he was never a royal. I loved that stubborn child very much. I think it's time I pay my respects. Also it took a long time for me to leave Russia…leaving home was very hard…But I have found my family again." She kissed my head and off we went. We left grandma alone to talk. Niall hasn't called and I don't know if I should call.
"Honey…he did just learn that you are princess." I smile at her…but a part of me thinks that Niall thinks I don't want to marry him or that I'm in Russia.

Here you guys are!!! Another update!! There are still plenty of chapters left but it's starting to wind down a bit. :) Then I'm still torn on what new story to post so PLEASE TELL ME!!

The Luke Hemmings one is where something happened to his childhood friend/crush and nobody knows what happened.

The Harry Styles on is an AU, I changed it so none of the boys are famous, but its still really good I think. People are pre-destined to marry and are chosen based on this test.
