Love In Lights

I'd Rather Have You In My Dreams

With VMA nomination on everyone’s mind some celebrities seem to think that gossip will just pause for a little while in tinsel town. Celebrities such as Louis Tomlinson who blatantly took his assumed girlfriend out for a lunch yesterday in broad daylight. The two seemed to be have disappeared over the last few days but now are popping back up all over London. Tomlinson hasn’t been seen with another girl this regularly since his break up with singer Annabelle Blake two years ago. According to our sources Blake and Tomlinson had begun to rekindle their romance before Blake had taken a sudden trip back home to Australia. The girl band member has only just recently arrived back in London with the other members of Purity. We’re curious to see, now that the two ex-lovebirds are back on the same soil, if sparks may fly: romantically or perhaps murderously?”– August 2016

“Hey guys so we made an announcement the other week on Twitter in honour of our VMA nominations that we wouldn’t have gotten without all of you.” Frankie made a kissy face into the camera. “We announced that we would be open for all questions to any of us and we would answer the lucky ones on video which we will then link to our YouTube channels that none of us have used for years. We’ve been missing it.”

Lucinda put her hand into a bowl that sat in front of the five of us who were squished onto my couch.

“First question asks: What do you like to do other then singing, performing, etc?” Lucinda read the piece of paper out before sitting it onto the coffee table next to the bowl and looking at the video camera placed in front of us.

“I do photography. I loved taking photos way before I even started singing.” Lucinda said before we all took our turns answering.

“Who was the best celebrity you have ever met?” Gracie picked next, we all shared looks before grinning.

“Beyoncé.” We said in unison.

“She’s like walking perfection.” Lucinda sighed dreamily and rested her head on my shoulder. I grinned and leant my cheek against the top of her head.

“A next question asks us what is the nicest and most evilest thing each of us have done?” Kate read out, turning to look at the four of us expectantly.

“Oh I have one for Frankie.” I bounced up straighter on my cushion. “One time we were out and we passed a homeless man but neither of us had cash so Frankie went into the nearest subway and ended up buying like six foot longs or something and went and got cash out to give to the man. That was probably the nicest thing I have ever seen you do.” I smiled at Frankie who flushed a light pink.

“In the same day she tripped Gracie on purpose and caused her to break her arm.” I added in.

“It was barely a break!” Frankie protested.

“I wore a cast for six weeks.” Gracie growled next to Frankie and elbowed her stomach.

“What do you regret or what is one thing you would like to change since you became famous?” I read out, flickering my eyes between the camera and the girls around me.

“I don’t know if I would really change anything.” I said slowly, noting that all four girls were quiet, everyone unsure how far we should go on the video. This wasn’t meant to be a sad video. “But we’ve all made mistakes over the past year that we regret, public ones and private ones. But I don’t exactly like they idea of changing something because then maybe not all the good things that have happened will have happened you know?”

“Like we wouldn’t have been able to write our latest album without experiencing everything we’ve been through.” Lucinda smiled at me.

“Exactly, or maybe we wouldn’t have bonded as well as we have. These four girls are my sisters and it scares the crap out of me that I might have had to live my life without them in it.” I said earnestly, smiling at Kate’s kiss to my cheek while I got coos from the other girls.

“Next question. Who would be your dream celebrity date?” Frankie asked, dramatically.

“Johnny Depp.” I blurted without thought, completely happy with my answer.

“Zac Efron.” Lucinda grinned.

“And no I didn’t date him.” Frankie added in, referring to the rumours that were spreading at the start of the year. “I wish I had.” She said jokingly. Though I knew for a fact that she had been talking to one of the contestants on the Australian X Factor since we had performed the other night. She was constantly smiling and giggling into her phone but refusing to show us a name.

“I think I would definitely get along with Andrew Garfield.” Gracie piped up.

“Ah this question leads us into the next question of how single are we all?” Lucinda read out.

I looked to Frankie out of the corner of my eye who reached forward to grab another piece of paper.

“Isn’t that just the question that everyone wants to know?” She smiled at the camera before reading out the next question. I snorted at her blatant avoidance.

“The YouTube video has been good girls, it’s had over seven hundred million views and still climbing and the comments have been in your favour.” Jen told us from her seat behind her desk that we were all sitting in front of.

Our reactions didn’t really change as we had been staring at our YouTube page for an unnecessary long time, reading all the comments ourselves. It was the first time I had really let myself read that many comments without trying to prevent a meltdown. It was almost liberating.

“Your album sales have also skyrocketed and this may actually be the best idea you girls have ever come up with.” Jen sounded way too amazed for that to be an actual compliment.

“That’s been known to happen.” Frankie defended us.

Jen smiled but ignored her. “How are all feeling now that you are back in London?” She glanced around at us all.

I honestly didn’t have that many feelings towards it all. We had barely dropped our stuff at Kate’s house before we had to come straight in. Harry and Niall had been crashed on the couch when we left, making some noise about heading home soon.

“Tired.” I voiced, my own throat going croaky as if trying to provide evidence.

“I’ll let you catch up on sleep in just a minute. I need to give you five these first.” She reached into one of her desk drawers and pulled out five white envelopes with our names written on them.

I took mine and opened up the letter, slipping out the pearl cardboard inside to read the date of Jen and Simon’s wedding day.

“You want us to come?” Gracie asked, her voice small and surprised.

Jen’s face softened as she looked between us all. “Of course I want you to come. I know we’ve had some hard times but I love you girls no matter what and I can see that you are trying. I wouldn’t want you any place else.”

I felt elated while I beamed at Jen. It felt like my world righted itself just a little bit more.

-

“Are you going to go do this now?” Frankie rolled over and stared as I pulled a jumper tighter around myself. It was already getting cold in London despite it being August.

“Yep, I’ve slept for like ten hours and I’m going to be all weird and twitchy until I do this.” I told her, reaching over her to grab my phone from where it was connected into her charger. I was too lazy to find mine in my bag.

“Can’t you just call him and talk over the phone.” She murmured into her pillow. Blankets pulled up to her neck.

I paused and thought about telling her what she wanted to here but I decided with being honest. “I need to see him.” I shrugged at the way her eyes narrowed in on me.

I slid on the closest shoes to me before making my way towards the bedroom door. “I’ll see you when I get back.” I called before rushing out the door and out of the apartment. Everyone was still in bed and I preferred it that way, it was less of a hassle when no one demanded me to persuade them onto what I was doing.

A cab was waiting for me and I was escorted by apartment security straight inside. Ignoring the yelling and the flashes coming from behind the fences surrounding the building.

I told the taxi driver Louis’ address and settled down in the backseat of the car for the twenty-minute drive there. It was raining as we drove, the light kind, where it drummed down against the car and created a cocoon of the world just for you. I could almost fall asleep to the scenery as it moved past me. I was surprised at my lack of nerves as the driver rolled closer and closer towards Louis’ whose last words were to tell me to stay away from him, out of his life. But he had called me and he had called my sister and I needed to see him.

I paid the taxi driver and stepped out into the London rain. I had forgotten an umbrella but I ran up to the gate, where a small area was undercover and rung the buzzer for Louis’ house. It was cold and I pulled the jacket tighter around myself.

“Hello?”

I paused at the female voice that rung through the buzzer. I glanced back at the house to make sure it was the right one before pressing the buzzer to talk.

“Uh hi, this is Annabelle, Annabelle Blake. Is uh Louis home?” I waved half-heartedly into the camera that faced where I stood.

“Annabelle Blake?” the female voice asked slowly and I could almost imagine the way her eyes scrutinized me through the camera. “Holy shit you are Annabelle Blake.”

I hoped the gate would open but the girl still hadn’t buzzed me in and the wind was starting to blow the rain under the small roof I was hiding under.

“Uh-huh, now that you believe me, do you think you could buzz me in? It’s getting a little cold out here.”

I heard the quick gasp of sorry before the gate opened for me and I slipped through, quickly jogging up the short path to Louis’ front door and shaking myself off when I got out of the rain. I brushed my fingers through my damp hair and went to knock on the door just as it flew open.

I paused when I saw Louis, his eyes wide and shocked as the travelled from my toes all the way to meet my eyes and I couldn’t help but shiver under his gaze.

“Uh hi Louis? I hope you don’t mind me coming? I know I didn’t warn you but you called Annalisa and well me too and I thought we should probably talk in person and I—.” I paused when I noticed a girl poke her head around the corner just behind Louis, her eyes were curious and she stepped out into the open once she realised I had spotter her.

She was pretty, with short curly hair that varied in colours from blonde to honey brown. She was quite short, only making it to Louis’ chin as she came to stand next to him. One of her skinny pale arms snapping out to wrap around Louis’ waist while she leant her body against one side of him.

“I cannot believe Annabelle Blake is standing in front of me right now.” She gasped out her eyes wide.

I snapped out of my trance, turning away from where her hand rested casually against Louis’ hip. I looked up at her then back at Louis. His face was carefully blank and I realised that I had not prepared myself for everything when I decided to come here.

“I’m sorry I should have called. You’re clearly busy with uh…” I trailed off, unable to say the word girlfriend.

Notes

So I just had my best friend's wedding and with all the havoc I did not have time to update this and barely enough time to write my others!
Also I thought while writing this that if you guys have an questions about the characters just comment or message me and I'll be free to answer. I have a lot of information for the lot of them that don't often make it into the story otherwise chapters would be much longer. So if you want to know anything more about anyone or even about the storyline just ask! I don't bite :P

Tiny bit of a cliffhanger this time... Do we think she is Louis' girlfriend??

Comments

please please update this soon.

AHHH! Felicity is making me crazy, but Aaron and Lucinda do have a point she needs to stand her ground! Also Charlotte was so cute getting nervous like that!

Anyway thanks for another great chapter! I hope you are still doing well and enjoying a nice Australian summer! :)

@ohboybands
Hey that's okay! It's been taking me ages to update lately so we are pretty even! hehe. I'm sad about it ending too but it will be in only a few more chapters and I'm excited for you guys to see the resolution.
Aww I hope you are having an amazing time in London. I certainly loved it but I did miss home a little bit. Especially beaches and constant sun, I really missed the beaches tho (I spend half my life there) haha.

Sorry it took so long to comment. I literally just re-read the whole thing and I still love it as much as I did the first time, if not more! I'm sad to think about it ending, but I knew it was soon! Hopefully Belle will finally be able to confess her love to Louis by the end! Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed Europe! I just moved to London and am in love with it that I don't know how you could of left! Also I'm so glad you're actually trying to tie up all the loose ends, because I hate when stories just end.
P.S. Sorry my comments were so random it's 6AM in London and I've been sick -- so like no sleep these past two days.

Annabelle's story is one of the first that drew me repeatedly to this site. You paint her struggles as authentic and the comfort as conceivable. Your Louis is quite the tragic hero and I love reading him. Cheers and happy writing :)
