Never Tear Us Apart

BEAUTIFUL GOODBYE

''Call me when you land okay.'' Sophie clung to Harry's shirt as they stood inside Heathrow Airport.
''I will babe, I'm gonna miss you so much.'' This was it. Harry and the boys were flying to Ireland for the first show of the UK tour, and Sophie was only going to be able to see Harry once in these three months, when the boys peformed in London. ''
''Please don't go.'' Sophie wept as she only tugged tighter on his shirt.
''I have to baby, don't worry, I'll be home before you know it, and we can start awaiting the arrival of this little one.'' He rubbed her stomach chuckling. ''Together.''
''Together.'' Sophie repeated.

The pair were getting more and more surrounded by the second, so they could only manage to steal one last kiss before Harry was dragged away by security. Sophie watched their hands as his fingers were pulled away from hers, and everything was in slow motion.

His tears, fell in slow motion, his 'i love you'. Slow motion, him walking towards the gate. All in slow motion. The short of slow motion that happens in films just before something really good happens...or something really bad. And Sophie feared the latter.

What it was, she didn't know. But she knew she would soon find out.

Now loverboy's gone, no one's there to protect you. Remember to lock your doors, never know who's about.

Two months had passed since Harry had left, and everything was going okay for Sophie, Harry would soon be in London again. Sophie's fears had been proved right when she began receiving these very creepy text messages from an unknown number, text messages that were never mentioned to Harry, or to anyone for that matter. There had been a close call where Elle needed to text Louis from Sophie's phone and went into her received messages by mistake, but Sophie had grabbed the phone before Elle could read any. These messages all contained something very similar. There was always a reminder about 'locking your doors' or 'closing the curtains' or 'remember to set the intruder alarm'. These short, creepy reminders scared Sophie, nothing had happened yet, but she knew this wasn't some crazed fan texting her trying to creep her out, these people had got hold of Sophie's number, and just wanted her to feel as uncomfortable and as unsafe as she possibly could in her own home, before they made their move.

You forgot to lock your gate, better get back out there, there are some dangerous people about these days.

This particular message made Sophie gasp. They were watching her. It was 11:06pm on a Saturday night, and Sophie had just locked up and drawn all the curtains. She was almost sure she had locked the gate, she had definetley gone outside to lock it, so why wouldn't she end up locking it? Sophie weighed up the options, go outside and check the gate, or go to bed and lay awake all night worrying about the gate.

Check the gate? What's the worst that could happen.

Sophie made her way down the path towards the gate, not bothering to lock the door as it was in her sight from the gate and she would only be gone for a minute.

She tested the gate by trying to open it a few times, nothing. She did lock it. Sophie took the opportunity to look around the surrounding area. Nothing. All that drew her attention was the neighbour Mrs. Fitzgerald rocking her baby to sleep whilst looking out of the window. She caught Sophie's gaze and smile happily.

She began to make her way back up the path and had just stepped inside the hallway when her phone buzzed again.

Oops. My bad...And what did I tell you about locking your doors?

Whoever it was that was stalking Sophie was now inside her house, texting her from inside her house. The house that she had just stepped into.

Notes

Okay even writing this chapter freaked the hell out of me, so im gonna apologise to all of you.

Who do you think is texting Sophie? A stranger? Maybe. Or is it someone closer to home? Maybe.
