*Rapunzel's POV*
I stared out my window. I wanted nothing more to go outside and play, but I can't. I wanted nothing more than to feel the grass on my feet, the wind in my hair, the sun on my face, but I can't. Mother won't let me. She is very protective, too protective if you ask me. I am not allowed outside, for any reason at all. She is afraid something will happen to me. My father died when I was young and my mother wasn't able to have any other children, so I am all she has. I'm not even allowed to go out for school or anything. All through high school I was homeschooled. I am now 18 and still here at home with my mom. I guess I just don't know what I would do if I didn't live at home, I wouldn't know where to go, where to get food, how to get a job, what job to even do, I wouldn't know anything. So I just sit at home, leaning out my window, making friends with the birds, yearning for just one moment where I could step outside.
"Rapunzel?" I heard my mother yell from outside my door.
"Coming!" I quickly shut my window. If my mother found out I even opened it, she would have a cow. I went outside of my room and headed to the kitchen.
"Hello mother, how was work?" I asked taking a seat at the counter.
"Well, it could have been better. I went shopping and I am going to make your favorite for dinner."
"Chicken Teriyaki?" I asked excitedly.
"Of course. What else is your favorite? So, tomorrow is a special day for you. You're finally 19. What would you like for your birthday?" She asked me and I smiled, she remembered.
"Well, I was thinking, I have wanted this for a long time. I was thinking that, maybe if you could, if I could-"
"Rapunzel! Get to your point." She said cutting me off from my rambling.
"Okay, well what I really want, I really want to go outside." I quickly said cringing waiting for her answer.
"Outside? Rapunzel, we have talked about this many times. You can't go outside. Something will happen to you!" Her voice started to rise.
"Well, I was thinking, I'll be 19. You can be with me. I just want to-"
"No, Rapunzel!! I have told you of the dangers and I am not going to lose you! You are not going outside!!" He screamed at me. I immediately went quiet and looked down at my feet.
"I just thought I should ask.." I said quietly.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you dear. I just love you and don't want to see you get hurt. I don't want to lose you." She said pulling me into a hug. "Just take some time and think about it and tell me what you want for your birthday." She said letting go and starting to make dinner.
"Well, maybe my own laptop would be nice?" I suggested
"Why would you want your own laptop? We have a computer."
"I know, but this way it could be mine. I like to write stories, and watch movies. This way if I am on it, you can still be on the other computer." I wasn't allowed to have anything like Facebook or twitter. She didn't want anyone knowing about me and possibly kidnapping me. Like I said, she was very protective. I didn't know anyone besides my mother. It got pretty lonely at my house.
"Alright, I guess I could work that out. I'll go after dinner and pick you up a laptop, how does that sound?"
"Really?" I shot up my eyes going huge and the biggest grin emerging on my face.
"Yes. If you really like writing stories so much you should be able to have your own computer to write them on."
"Thank you mother! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I said jumping up and giving her the biggest hug.
"Okay, now go wash up and get ready for dinner. It'll be ready in about 15 minutes." She said as I rushed upstairs. I am finally going to have my own laptop with some privacy! I could do whatever I wanted..
*Flynn's POV*
Wanna hang out tonight? ;)
I quickly responded to Ashley.
Not tonight, sorry. I'm just not in the mood.
We all know what she wanted to do, and I just wasn't up for that tonight. To be honest, I kind of
wish I could find a girl I can be myself around. Someone I can trust with all my secrets. Don't get me wrong, I am loving having all these girls right now! Just sometime in the future I do want to find a girl I can settle down with. I have hooked up with every girl in this town, and she isn't here. I just have to go looking. She must be hiding, and I have to be willing to seek.

Okay, like I said, I am sorry that these first few chapters are short. The beginning chapters of each story are going to be short because I am just setting up the stories. They will get longer I promise :)
