Beauty and the Beast
*Belle's POV*
"Hello" I said to the librarian as I walked in.
"Hello Belle, back so soon?"
"Yes, I have to return the book and I am here to get a new one." I said handing him the book I just checked out the day before. I walked off and started looking through the books. After about 10 minutes of looking, one caught my eye, just like it has a few times before. I found it one day, and I have checked it out a a few more times. It is by far my favorite book. I walked back up to the desk and handed him the book.
"This one again? You must have read it at least 4 times now." He said picking it up and looking at it.
"I just love it. It is my favorite book!"
"Well, since you like it so much. Keep it. I insist. It's a gift, from one of your friends." He told me handing me the book.
"Are you serious?" I asked him shocked and super excited.
"Yes, I am. Now you go on and have a great day." He said with a smile on my face.
"Well thank you, thank you so much!" I said before I walked outside. It was a nice sunny day I decided to walk all day today. I started walking home while reading the book. After a few minutes I ran into someone.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry." I said looking up and seeing Gabe. He is the most self absorbed guy in this town. Every girl wants him and every guy wants to be him, except for me. I want nothing to do with him, but he doesn't seem to leave me alone.
"Belle, how lovely to see you. So, tonight, you and me, dinner. I'll pick you up at 7." He said smirking at me.
"No thanks Gabe. I don't really want to go out with you." I said trying to push past him and walk home.
"What? You would rather stay home and read this lame book instead of going out with me?" He asked tugging the book out of my hands.
"Gabe, give me back my book." I said reaching for it and pulling it out of his hands. I pushed him out of the way and proceeded to walk home.
"You will be my girl one day, don't you worry." He called after me. I ignored him and proceeded to walk to my house. After about 10 more minutes of walking, I got home.
"Dad, I'm home!" I called once I got inside. It's just me and my dad. My mom died when I was about 6.
"I'm in here!" I walked over to the kitchen to see what he was working on.
"Hey Dad, what are you working on today?" I asked when I got in. My dad is a chef and creates new dishes all the time. I think they are absolutely amazing. Some seem extremely weird, but he knows what he is doing and they taste great.
"Here, try this." He said putting some on a fork for me. I took a bite and it was fantastic.
"Dad, this is amazing!" I said to him
"Thank you. I am heading out to the conference later today. Will you be okay?"
"Of course! You need to go and get your food out there! I will be fine. I'll just sit at home and read or something." I said grabbing another bite of his food.
"Belle, you need to meet someone. Maybe a boy. You know Gabe is pretty cute."
"Gabe? Yeah he is not my type.."
"Fine, it's your call. Well I have to be off. Sorry I didn't get to see you much today. I love you. I'll call you when I arrive." He said walking over and kissing me on the cheek.
"Bye Dad, love you too. Have fun and good luck!"
*Beast's POV*
"Luke! Go get me something to eat!" I called after one of my servants. I live in a mansion and I don't want to take the time to go to the kitchen, make me something, and come back. That is why I have servants.
"Right away sir." He said walking out of the room. It's just me and my servants here. I don't like going out. Why go out if you don't have to? Plus I have everything I need here. Plus, no one really likes me, and I don't care. Everyone tried to tell me I need to find love, but I don't want that right not. Too much effort to get some to like me. I like it here in my.. solitude. No one but the people I pay to help me. They have to like me, that's what I pay them for. Who needs people? Who needs girls? I like being with me and just me.

So here is the start of the first story! :) I was talking with another user about Disney and I thought it would be fun to do modern day princess stories where the boys are the princes. I know this is kind of short, but the first chapters of the stories will be short and then they will get longer! I hope you guys like it! Tell me what you think! :)
