MI6- my night off

chapter 1

This week had been non-stop, heck this month had been non-stop! I had been undercover all month as an erotic dancer, why I hear you ask. I work as a secret service agent; MI6 had recruited me when I was just 18, I have been working for them for 3 years, now at 21 I am the youngest highest trained member of the service. To most people I flit between jobs, people just assume I can’t hold a job down for more than a few months; truth is I have to constantly change my cover story. It is hard lying to the people I care about like my friends and family but it’s too dangerous if they got mixed up into my lifestyle. I live in a high end flat in London and own a Boxter Porche, MI6 pay me well. Everyone just thinks that I won the lottery, if only they knew what I actually did to earn all that.

I had been undercover as an erotic dancer for a month because I was trying to get evidence on a gang for participating in underage sex trafficking. After a month of gaining their trust they finally let me in on their dealings, I quickly got the team involved and luckily they were all charged with multiply counts of pretty much everything the court could throw at them. Having a success like that made this job worth it, but I do see a lot of shit each day. I had earned a well-deserved night off; I decided to treat my co-worker and best friend to a concert that was playing tonight, One Direction. We must admit that when we had time to listen to music we did enjoy listening to theirs so we were excited for tonight.

I parked my Porche, me and Rachel gained several funny looks from lots of other girls as we got out. “God bet your glad to have the night off Nina, it’s been one hell of a month for you” Rachel said as we walked to the venue, “ye it has, good outcome though, shame I only get one night off though” I sighed as we approached the doors. “Ye well that’s what you get for being the favourite” she laughed, “I didn’t ask to be the favourite though, it’s not all its cracked up to be, I always get landed with the most difficult jobs and dangerous jobs just because the people upstairs think I can handle it.” I said. As we walked through the security we were pulled to one side, the looked into Rachel’s bag “care to explain miss before we call the police?” a large well-built guy asked, “shit, I forgot” Rachel groaned, “please tell me you didn’t bring your gun” I whispered, “ye force of habit, you would have forgotten too if you had been allowed yours for the past month” she said in defence, ye this is true if I had of been allowed my gun for the last month I would have most likely brought mine as well. I turned to the security guard who was looking at us as if we were psychopaths, “sorry we can explain, let me get out my badge” I slowly took out my MI6 badge and showed it to security, “any reason why two MI6 agents are here tonight?” he asked worried, “should we be worried, we’ll have to tell the guys to cancel” he said turning to another security guard, “oh no! there is no need to worry, we are off duty but it’s a habit I guess, sorry to cause alarm” Rachel said quickly, god we really didn’t want to cause a scene, “common guys it’s the first night I have had off in a month, we really don’t want to cause a scene, honestly we are not here on business!” I said, “ok ladies but you can’t take your fire arm in I’m afraid, we can lock it away until the end of the concert” the guy in charge said, Rachel sighed and gave her gun over. The guys let us take our seats.
