All I Want For Christmas Is You

Chapter 54

"HURRY!" I yelled as I grasped onto Val's arm, causing her to yelp in pain like a puppy. I apologized as I pulled her along the main walkway with Karla trailing behind us. "Oh my gosh? Where could this man be? Do you even remember what he looked like?" Karla asked in frustration after five minutes of running to look for him. "Of course I do! I talked to him all the way here!" "CAT! We were only on the plane for like half an hour!" she interrupted, getting pretty P-Oed that I was making her run.

That was when I saw him. He was buying a bottle of a coke-looking product from one of those expensive airplane stores. "BRIAN!" I yelled as we ran across diagonally through the people on the main walkway. He turned and squinted his eyes to see me and he smiled and gave a little wave as his cashier rang his total price up for his drink. We got up to him and we were breathing heavily.

"You girls are going to miss your flight to the states," he said, giving us a worried look. "No big deal," Karla said in between breaths as she bent down to catch it. "I've missed worse things... we are... alright," she finished, standing back up to her full height as she gave Brian a friendly smile. Brian smiled back and looked at me. "So what are you girls going to do?" he asked with wide eyes as he took the plastic bag with his drink in it from the cashier's counter, and he set a few pounds there in exchange. I shrugged with a smile. "I don't know," I said, knowing I had a plan.

"Well, I may be quite old, but I know what you are doing," he laughed and set his free hand on my shoulder. I felt my face heat up. "You do?" I weakly asked. He nodded while still laughing. "Would you like me to take you to Holmes Chapel with me?" he asked, being very polite. "Can I bring Karla and my little sister Val?" I asked innocently, knowing he would, "Of course Cat. I just want to see Harry's face when he sees you! He will be so excited!" Brian exclaimed as he lead us out of the airport and onto a taxi to take us the hours drive to the little ole town of Holmes Chapel. I was nervous. What if Harry didn't want to see me? What if this was all some weird fantasy I was making up in my head? He probably won't want to see me. Well, I'll see no matter what I do.

HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW:

Later I was still up, and mum and Gemma were up, and I didn't bother to try to go back to sleep, besides it was Christmas Day anyway. Gemma got up and was watching some romance film. I don't know, all I know is that she had the tissues setting on the center table near the couch and she was laughing and crying at the same time. That's Gemma for you. She gets so emotional when she watches those types of films. Although, I can't say anything... I have the same reactions.

"What are you watching?" I asked her as I flipped my torso around the kitchen counter. "Love Actually," she stated, not looking up at me from the screen, and wiping her eyes with a new tissue she just pulled from the cardboard box. I smiled as I looked at the screen and saw the familiar characters of Jamie and Aurélia. It was and still is one of my all time favorite movies. I was such a sucker for romantic films.

"Harry can you help me for a minute?" Mum asked as she was holding a bowl of Christmas pudding. It is a tradition in my family to make this pudding every year. I like it, so I guess it's cool. "Yeah," I said as I jogged onto the tile. "Yeah mum?" "Harry, clean your bowl from the cereal you were eating early this morning!" she said, handing me a bowl that I didn't even rinse out from the soggy cereal I threw out. "Sorry," I giggled as I turned the water on and made it ring around the bowl like a hurricane and then I tossed out the water and scrubbed it a bit before drying it and setting it in the cabinet above the sink. "Better?" I asked mum who was stirring the unfinished bowl of pudding. She smiled and nodded. "You usually are more observant," she noted, setting her spoon on a napkin on the counter near her. I shrugged. "I am a little busy in the mind," I said before realizing I was about to change the subject to Cat. Dang I didn't want to talk about her again.

"What's going on?" mum asked, looking down at her bowl. I gave a deep sigh and looked down and scrubbed the tips of my toes together. I shrugged. "I guess just life," I said with a slight laugh ending my sentence. Mum looked at me and smiled. "Harry, I know something is up, how about Cat? Tell me how you and Cat are," she said in an almost begging fashion.

"Well, we are good I guess ... if you call not together anymore good," I answered, not wanting to see her reaction. She really loved Cat, and I do... no... I DID as well. "What happened?" mum asked the universal mum asking quote when you say that. "She said we wouldn't work," I replied, really wishing I hadn't said anything. "Well she doesn't know what she is missing," mum answered with a small smile, glancing at me and back at her pudding she was stirring in the ceramic bowl.

"Well you know that the rest of the family is coming over in a few hours right?" Mum asked, setting her bowl down and rinsing her hands in the water coming from the faucet. I nodded. "I know, this will be my nineteenth Christmas in a row," I said with a giggle. Mum rolled her eyes and she set her left hand on the counter to give me a sass look. "It must have taken you forever to calculate that," she laughed as she gave me a hug, and I stood up and hugged her back. "Go get ready and put on something other than your coca-cola trousers," mum finally said as she glanced at my fancy bed attire. I hadn't changed since I woke up that morning. I rolled my eyes and lazily walked to my bedroom, and tripped on the door while I walked in, and I heard mum laughing at me from the kitchen.

CAT'S POINT OF VIEW:

We were in the taxi for a good twenty / thirty minutes before we got into the town of Holmes Chapel. The drive was pretty fun. Brian was cracking silly jokes and told us all about Harry growing up and all the things he used to do. Brian even told us about the true story behind Harry's X-Factor story and how he worked in a bakery. I giggled, knowing if Harry knew I was told some of these things, he would be embarrassed. I saw the "Welcome to Holmes Chapel" sign and I felt my stomach turn. I can't even believe I'm here in the town where Harry grew up in. Wow.

The taxi dropped us off in front of a big duplex like building that was a two story building, with brick driveways in front of two front doors. I then saw a lady carrying a bowl of cut up vegetation come walking out of the front doors and dumping the contents of the bowl in the soil under a bush. It was Anne... Harry's mom.

As Brian helped us out of the taxi, and helping us grab our suitcases, I looked around and felt that the air here was much cooler than in London. I shivered as I pulled the sleeves of my purple Jack Wills hoodie down to my wrists, and I felt the heat warm my arms. Karla slid her black form fitting jacket over her tank top when I readjusted myself as well. Val curved her arms around her torso as she shivered and chattered her teeth together being the drama queen she would try to be... that what she gets for being around Karla all the time.

Brian handed the taxi driver a large amount of paper pounds before the driver took off, back to Manchester. Brian then pulled up his belt on his pants and waved us on to follow him. We dragged our suitcases and bags with us as he opened the door to the house. We walked in through the pretty white painted wooden door as I saw Gemma (Harry's sister) turn around to greet her grandfather. She smiled really big as she stood up. She looked just like Harry... but in girl form. "Hello! It's been so long since I have seen you!" Gemma chimed as she hugged Brian. Anne looked around the corner from the kitchen to smile at Karla, Val and I. "And who are you girls?" she asked us as Gemma noticed us too. Gemma cocked her head and I looked back at Karla and Val and back at Anne. "Well.. this is Karla ... this is my little sister Val... and I'm... Cat," Anne looked at me shocked at first, but her expression turned into a huge grin as she pulled me into a tight... tight hug. It caused me to drop my tote bag and purse. "You moving in or something?" Gemma asked behind me, and I heard Brian chuckle. "Oh my God. You are even more beautiful than he described... wait... why are you here?" Anne asked, suddenly pulling herself back from me. "I have to talk to Harry," I demanded. She nodded slowly and pointed down a hallway. "Be my guest," she said as yet another smile grew on her. I set my bags down awkwardly by the door and I left Karla and Val standing with Brian. I don't think they'll get bored.

I tiptoed near a door and I heard music blasting from it. I recognized the man's voice with the calm almost light rock intertwined with it. It was the song "Riot Van" by Arctic Monkeys. I had never ever heard anyone else play that song other than me before. But as Karla said, Harry and I are very similar. It's a good thing..

I took a huge gulp of air in before I knocked on the wooden frame of the door. I felt my insides tie in knots as I heard the music volume lowered and a deep raspy voice answer, "Come in,"

I flicked my wrists at my sides as I looked up at the ceiling, and then I exhaled and creaked the door open.

Harry was sitting criss cross on his bed, shirtless wearing a pair of Coca-Cola pajama pants, examining two shirts laying on his comforter, while holding his head up with his right hand on his chin. He sighed and then he looked at me and his eyes grew wide..
