All I Want For Christmas Is You

Chapter 50

I looked to my left to see if I had an extra seat to my right, but sadly, a young Chinese looking girl sat next to me. She glared at me at first, but then turned her head to look at her phone. She had a maroon velvet looking sweater on, and she had short black thin hair. But when I looked at her phone's lock screen, it had a picture of none other than... Harry.... This is just so perfect. I bet Harry planned this too.

I heard the chime of the light that indicates to put on your seatbelt, and I did.

The engines began to roar louder and we began to roll towards the runway getting ready for takeoff. I felt my stomach toss and turn. I didn't want to leave, but I needed to. I needed to get away from the boys. Even if I only had problems with two of them.

The attendants finished their safety lecture and they got into their seats as the pilot announced for them to get ready for takeoff. The engines roared louder as we got onto the runway, and we began to gain speed for takeoff. Here we go.

HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW:

She's gone. She's gone. I kept reminding myself as I looked at our previous conversations on my test messages. I can't believe it. Why did I send those tickets to her? She probably never wants to see me again... well she doesn't want to anyway.

I walked into the kitchen of my parents' house, and I looked in the cabinet for some cereal or something. I might as well eat breakfast because I hadn't slept all night. All I could think about was Cat.

No one was awake yet, and the house was dark. I tried to be as quiet as I could by gently pouring the cereal against a porcelain-like bowl. I set a spoon in the bowl and grabbed the milk from the fridge to pour over the dried flakes. That was when the hallway light beamed on.

"Harry? Why are you awake? It's about six in the morning!" ... it was Gemma. "I know," I answered, putting the spoon of cereal in my mouth, crunching on the semi-moistened pieces. "You look pathetic what happened?" Gemma asked, walking closer to me, setting her hand on my shoulder, noting the bags under my eyes. I shook my head, telling her nothing was wrong. "I don't believe you," she said with a laugh. I gave a half smile and she took my phone off of the counter. She unlocked it, (because for some reason she always knows my passwords) and she looked at what I was looking at. "Who is Cat?" she asked, reading our messages. "Some girl," I answered, taking another bite of food. Gemma kept reading. "Oh, yes, some girl who you obviously love," she said, reading some of our mushy lovely conversations. I felt my face turning pink even in the almost pitch darkness. "Harry! You didn't tell me you were dating a fan!" Gemma said, reaching up and ruffling my hair to where it started standing straight up. "I didn't really ask her on a proper date ya know," I replied, trying to fix my hair. "Well why don't you? Do it right now!" Gemma begged, handing me my iPhone. I looked at the messages and set it back onto the counter. "No Gemma, just go back to sleep," I stated, going back to my cereal, which was now very squishy, and I didn't want to eat squishy cereal, so I dumped it out. "Like you can tell me what to do," Gemma sassed, setting her free hand on her hip, while the other grabbed my phone again. "Gemma no," I pleaded, grasping her wrist and taking my phone back. "Why not? I bet she will be thrilled! Besides I don't want my baby brother to go through something like that Taylor girl again... and this... Cat seems amazing," Gemma said as she looked to see Cat's name at the top of the message column. I rolled my eyes and got a glass of water in silence. "Harry, I just want to see you happy," Gemma said in a more literal tone. I sighed and took a sip. "Yeah, well she didn't," I replied, making a careful decision on my words. Gemma cocked her head. "What?" she wondered. "Gemma, just go back to sleep," "Stop trying to order me around punk," she playfully said to me. I didn't even make a giggle to her play. "Tell me how you met her and everything and what happened. I'll go to sleep if you do," she betted. "Fine," I agreed unwillingly as I looked up to the ceiling to think of the correct way to tell her.

"It started out backstage before our last concert of the tour in London. She and her friend came backstage to interview us. Oh, and they are from America by the way. And anyways, I saw her and once she was alone, I kind of stayed in there to talk to her, and she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, and I didn't want to make it obvious, because apparently I do make it obvious... And I was talking about the clothing we had to wear during the show when I was looking at Zayn's rack of clothing..." "Wait..." Gemma interrupted. "You told her about what clothes you wear on stage?" Gemma finished, laughing. I turned red. "I didn't know what else to say or do!" I exclaimed, a bit embarrassed, tossing my arms in the air. Gemma giggled to herself some more. "Alright, anyway, Zayn's rack fell over and I think she tried to catch it, but it fell, and I tried to catch the rack from falling directly on her, so I ran in the way and shoved the rack before it hit her, and it ended up me falling on her... And then Luke walked in..." Gemma was holding her breath she was laughing so hard. "Well a bunch of stuff happened and we went to a bar, and I don't remember it, but they came with us," "So.. you brought this Cat person to a bar with you after the show?" "Er.. yeah.. and her friend and all of the guys," I answered, scratching the back of my neck. "What else happened?" Gemma persistently asked, setting her hand on the counter, balancing herself. I sighed and walked out of the kitchen into the living room. "C'mon Harry," Gemma pleaded, following me into the room. I shook my head. "Harry finish!" she begged. "Alright alright... anything to make you be quiet so you don't wake the neighborhood up," Gemma slapped my arm. "Really? Really? I am NOT that loud!" "You are now!" I said, knowing she was going to slap my arm again, but I laughed.

"What's going on?" we heard a voice say from the lit hallway. It was mum. "Hey mum," Gemma called out as I rubbed the spot on my arm that she slapped... twice. "Have you two been fighting, come on it's six in the morning on Christmas Day. Go back to sleep," she said with a laugh. "We haven't been fighting," Gemma stated as I shoved her forward. "You know I can beat you at this," she warned, and I stepped back putting my hands up like as if holding them up for a policeman. "You woke Robin and I up, please go to sleep, especially you Harry, I need you awake at dinner tonight," "Yes ma'am," I faintly agreed. She gave me a warning look and Gemma giggled. "Go to sleep!" mum called out as she went back into her bedroom. As soon as she closed the door, Gemma and I giggled.

"So finish telling me about..." "Cat," I finished her statement. "Yeah.. Cat, tell me more, what happened when you took them to the bar," "Well, Cat didn't want a drink so I got her one," "Harry! Why did you do that?" Gemma exclaimed louder than she should have again, and mum's door opened again, this time Robin peeked out. "Go to sleep you two," he said before shutting the door quietly. Gemma sighed and looked at me, waiting for me to continue. "Anyway, she drank it and liked it, and I really don't remember the rest of the night. And I remember finding her dress she was wearing under my bed the next morning, and I ... well I sent it to her house back in the states since and she is on her way there now..." I finished my sentence with a depressed face. Gemma looked at me stunned. "Then what was she wearing? Why did you have her dress and don't rememb--" Gemma stopped in her sentence and gave me a smirk. "That's hilarious," she said as she began to giggle. "I didn't know I did it Gemma. Stop," I begged, slouching down in embarrassment. "Okay okay I'm sorry!" Gemma laughed as she leaned up against the wall. "It's not funny. I think that is why she left... And I don't even remember it! I at least would have liked to know if I would have liked it or not!" I yelled, slapping the table beside me. "Wait, she's gone?" Gemma asked, my statement changing her mood like a snap of the fingers. I raised my eyebrows and then lowered them. "Unfortunately," I breathed. "How did she get back? She obviously had her own airplane tickets already right?" Gemma asked and I felt a sharp pain arise in my heart. It felt like a rusted sword was stabbing through my soul slowly and every word that made me think of what to her I did pushed that fictional sword further through my gut. "I bought them for her... See, she told me we wouldn't "work" and I overreacted. And I sent her back to the states and I haven't made any try to contact her either," Gemma looked at me confused. "But yet, you love her?" she asked, tilting her head to the left. I nodded, unknowing what else to say. "You really are confusing," she said before walking down the hallway to go back into her room. "Wait, you are supposed to help me," I called out after her. She snuck her head around the corner and smiled, "You didn't even want to tell me at first!" she finished before disappearing and I heard her door shut. That's my sister for you.
