Keeping Hope

The Frat House

The next day Emma kissed Harry goodbye as she stepped into Jen's car. They would be driving to pick Eleanor up while Harry went to get the guys.

After the big fight yesterday, it was decided the girls will drive up in the car together while all the boys would be in the other, better to keep Emma and Harry apart for now, and even though they have already made up, they decided to keep it like that, the girls wanting a girls drive up without the boys.

"You two fight and make up a million times a day," Jennifer laughs as she turns into Eleanor's drive way.
"That is not true! Harry and I barely fight," Emma swats playfully Jennifer's arm.
Harry is a little over protected of her but they get along just fine.
"You are always bickering and stuff," Jennifer keeps going.
"Oh and Dylan and you are any better? You making him do everything for you, having him following you like a little puppy," Emma fires back.
"That is so not true! He does not!" Jen exclaims.

"Who doesn't what?" Eleanor opens the door sliding in the back after getting her bag into the trunk.
"Right Dyl follows Jen around like a lost puppy, and does anything and everything for her?" Emma turns to Eleanor bringing her up to speed in their conversation.

"Hell yes! Jen this is a great time for an intervention for the way you treat Dylan," Eleanor immediately takes Emma's side.
"What are you talking about? He wants to do all those things! I don't make him do anything," She begins, "And I was talking about Emma and Harry's fighting, how did it get to Dylan and me from there?" She frowns playfully.

"What are YOU talking about? This is their first big fight- I have never seen them in one before," Eleanor replies.
"What is this?! Why are you on her side?" Jen looks at Eleanor through the review mirror.
"I'm not taking sides, I'm just pointing out that you are wrong," Eleanor shrugs and Emma turns to high five her.

"All right, so what is the plan once we get up there?" Jen changes the subject, not liking the spot light being on her relationship with Dylan.
"Harry will share the plan once we meet up at Western," Emma answers.
"All right then," Jen agrees and turns the music up louder as they exit the town and make their way up to Western University.

Harry's POV

"Are you good then?" Dylan asked me quietly as Louis puts his bags in the back.
I give him a small nod not wanting Louis hearing us talking about the fight with Emma last night.
I haven't told him about the hooded man outside, deciding to keep it to ourselves.

"So it's a boy's drive ha?" Louis gets in slapping our shoulders before sitting down.
"Yeah man, no girl talk or girly music for a whole two hours," I smile at him, starting the car and making my way towards Niall's home.
"I heard Perrie isn't coming," Louis says, leaning back.
"Yeah, Zayn won't let her," Dylan says.
"So what? She doesn't have to do what he wants," I reply, getting angry just of the thought of him.

"What are you talking about? If you wouldn't want Emma to drive up you would make sure she wouldn't," Louis shoots at me.
"I didn't want her to come up- and she is driving up with Jennifer as we speak," I snap.

The truth is I would never let her stay home after last night, having that hooded fuck stare through her windows, but I wasn't going to share this with them.

Niall gets in the car, and the conversation shifts to football.
"I can't believe you are suspended from next game! Coach is mad!" Niall shouts, his eyes in slits.

"I hope he knows we will lose next game- Zayn doesn't share the ball, trying to be the star all the time, and then fucks up instead," Louis says angrily.
I keep quiet, knowing they are right, but there is nothing I can do, I got punished for leaving in the middle.

"Hey- it could have been worse- He could have been kicked off the team," Dylan points out.
"No way man, Coach would never do that," Niall shakes his head.
"He was pissed shit last night, going on and on how reckless that was," Louis says.
"I don't really care to be honest, I mean- I would have done It again- and you would have left too if it was Eleanor instead of Emma," I finally speak.
"I would have left too if I had known what was going on, I'm telling you she could be really stupid sometimes," Niall speaks up.

Emma's POV

When Jen parks the car right next to Harry's I can't help but wonder if he had broke down and told them about last night. I haven't told the girls keeping to our promise to keep it to ourselves.
"Hi lovelies," Louis steps out of the car, smiling and pulling Eleanor into a hug, and kissing the top of her head.

Harry walks around and stops right next to me, reaching out for my hand and linking our fingers together. I look up and smile at him, feeling the warm feeling spread in my chest.

"So, what now?" Niall asks after we finish greeting each other.
"Well, we should go get our stuff in the dorms where we will be staying tonight, and then find out what is going on, and where we might find Tyler," Harry answers.
"And then what? Go up and confront him?" Dylan asks.
I can tell by the look on Harry's face he hasn't thought far enough to what we would be doing once we find him.

"We can talk about the diary, you know.. For him to hear that we've got it, and the stuff that she wrote in it about him, maybe make up some things, see how he reacts," I offer.
"That could be a good idea," Eleanor agrees, and the others nod. I feel the slight squeeze to my hand and look up at Harry who was smiling down at me.

"Well come on, let's get moving then," Louis says. Harry takes my bag in his hand before I have time to grab it myself, not letting go of my hand as he does.
We all walk to the girls building. The rooms for visitors where labeled and the three of us found a room for only the us. After leaving our bags on the beds and locking the door we made our way to find a room for the boys.

"Oi! Are you lot here to check out the school?" Three lads stop us as we entered the building.
"Sure am love," Jen winks, while Dylan rolls his eyes at her, grabbing her hand in his.
"So you should come to our party tonight," They hand out fliers.
I read through it. The party is taking place at a frat house. I look up at Harry who was reading over my shoulder.

"Thanks but I don't think we will-" Harry starts.
"No- We'll be there!" Jen cuts in, shooting Harry a deadly glare.
The boys smile and walk away, promising to look for us.

"What the hell was that Jen? They only invited us because of you girls! These college blokes will shag whoever they can get not caring if there is a boyfriend involved," Harry snaps.
"Cool your horses mate! No one is getting shagged by a college boy- we are going to this party!" Jennifer says coldly.

"No! We are going to find Tyler!" Harry orders loudly.
"And where do you think we will find him?! This party- it is taking place at his frat house!" Jen holds up the flier to Harry's face, shoving him back before climbing the steps up to the boy's dorms, Dylan following after her.

"Harry…" I whisper to him, turning to face him.
"Leave it," He says turning from me, to follow Louis, Eleanor and Niall. Though after a few steps he stops and reaches out his hand for me to take.
I pad over and take it, choosing not to fight with him, not now, not here.

Harry's POV

When we enter the frat house that night, the party is in full swing, the grass out front littered with red cups and beer bottles.

This is the last place I wanted to take Emma too, pulling her closer to me, wrapping my arm around her waist. I notice Louis has his arm around Eleanor's shoulders, and the way the tips of Dylan's fingers turned white with the squeeze of Jen's hand, them too not quite happy bringing the girls here.

"Whatever happens, you stay close to me," I demand of Emma. She glances up at me but doesn't say a word, and I hope it's a silent agreement.

As we step into the living room cups of vodka are handed out to us, and I grab the cup that is handed to Emma taking it away from her. She will not be drinking, not today.
"Come on Harry, it's a party after all," Jennifer scolds me, handing Emma her cup. I send her an angry glare, but I don't take the cup away from Emma, noting she hasn't sipped from it yet.
We split to walk around the house, to see if any of us can spot Tyler. After walking around the down stairs twice Emma and I meet up with Eleanor and Louis at the entrance.

"We haven't seen him," Eleanor says.
"Neither did we," Emma answers.
"Maybe he hasn't gotten here yet," Louis shrugs.
"That can't be, he lives here," I say, feeling frustrated.

"He's not here!"

We turn to find Sam standing in front of us, a black hoodie pulled over his head, his hands tucked into the pockets. I glance down at Emma and notice her mind clicking things together. A black hoodie over a head.
"You!" I say launching myself at him.

Harry held Sam up from his throat against the wall. The last time his eyes went so dark was the night he beat Tyler up before I was killed.

"I told you not to come," Sam manages to say to Emma, who was watching with wide eyes.
Without any warning Harry punches Sam, making Louis fly to his side pulling him away.

I hope he manages to stop Harry before he goes mad on him, not giving him a chance to speak up. They need Sam, they just don't know it yet.

Notes

Hi guys,
So Sam is back- but are you right by thinking he is the black hood behind everything? You'll just need to wait and see.

Oh darling.. I'm so sorry...
A mother teaches us everything-except how to live without her.. It is painful and sometimes the memories knock the wind out of us, and the feeling of lose comes in waves, but you're strong and wonderful because of her- and nothing is your fault! I am sure she is so very proud and full of joy with who you're growing up to be! SO cherish your memories and keep them close to your heart for they will make you smile and happy, and strong at moments of need ! Even though she is not right in front of you to touch and to hold, she is there with you- in your heart. And I truly believe you can talk to her and she will answer, you will feel it, and know what she would guide you to do.
Lots of love poppet- chin up xx

It's really sad that Emma lost her mom , I could relate to her though I lost my mom too and Miss her very much and I currently live with my dad . Not a day goes by that i don't think about her , sometimes thinking that it's my fault . If only i would have stayed up she probably wouldn't have died
