Niall….
**Ruby’s POV**
We were all now dancing on the dance floor. Many people were giving me glares. Shoot I totally didn’t even care. Harry is fun to dance with. Even, if the first song was a little too sexy. I wasn’t really used to that type of dirty dancing but I have got to say it was a fun moment until they switched the music on us; we were now dancing to Beauty and a Beat.
I turned around to see the rest of the people happy. They were all dancing, singing along with Justin, some were talking with friends, and then I see Evie dancing away oblivious of the world with a blond guy. Hmm I wonder who it was she seemed really happy.
Really the first slow song of the night did it really have to be that song. I hated that song ever since senior Prom. I guess it was different singers because that sure wasn’t “Fun.” The singers were girls. I guessed Harry noticed I didn’t like that song by the way he looked at me and just dragged me of to get water.
“Hey lets go get some water.” His voice sounded concerned.
“Uh. Yea. Lets go get water that song irritates me” I said truthfully.
“I noticed by the way your eyes looked. They went blank like you were thinking of something too hard.” Oh man he noticed I was deep in thoughts thinking about why I hated that song.
“Yea sorry that was a sow song they put at my Senior Prom in 2012” I told him calmly trying not to bring back memories.
“May I ask why you hate that song” he asked me.
“Long story short let’s just say that I don’t have good memories of what was of my prom ok? I’ll tell you the rest of the story later on ok I don’t want to bring up the past” I told him. He flashed his bright smile and dragged me back on that dance floor.
The song had changed to Die Young by Ke$ha. Glad to hear that previous song gone. We danced more it felt like it was a club lights were glowing different colors, lasers on the walls moving everywhere. We finally saw Evie and the Blondie was Niall. Harry looked at me and they continued dancing I’m guessing they were having fun. Even if her favorite band member was Harry at first. She looked like she was built perfectly for Niall. Perfect height for her too. She seemed shorter. Why? Her heels were like 3 inches off the floor. Awe Shit! She broke the shoes already there goes her money in one night! One heck of a night. Yesterday we were cramming for our last final while listening to One Direction and Ed Sheeran, since I was always over at her house, and now tonight we were dancing with 2/5 of One Direction.
It was time for the guys to go back up on stage they sang three more song for the rest of the night. I loved the last one I was seriously singing along with everyone once the song came up.

They finished the song and I noticed Harry kept looking at me the whole time. That weirdo. I shrugged it off I was having a blast until some girls kept bumping into me like ugh really. I get it I was dancing with Mr. Harry Styles but to be pushing me that drawing the line. Harry noticed I was about to break so he took me in his arms and spun me until we got away from the bitches. Thank goodness. The song End Up Here by Cher Lloyd piano version came on. Slow song. Yay I actually liked this song it is really nice. We were slow dancing swaying back and forth while harry had his hands on my back and I had my hand of his shoulders with my face almost at his neck if I was wearing my heels I would’ve been there but I like this better . Yet again I felt Protected. Oww! I felt a Stinging pain in my arm.
“What the fuck dumb bitch, what’s your deal!” I yelled at the fake blond with black eyebrows who supposedly bumped into me but scratched my arm. All I could see was red liquid quickly forming. Shit did she scratch a freaking vein or something.
“Sorry I…” she blabbered.
“You what!! Are you blind you literally almost stabbed me you freaking idiot. Wipe that grin of your face be glad I don’t have you’re sorry ass arrested!” I didn’t let her finished. Blood flushed to her cheeks either angry or embarrassed that I was yelling at her in front of her friends and in front of Harry.
She looked at Harry and dragged her friends to the other side of the room. Why won’t it stop bleeding? I was so mad. I get it its damn harry styles but to cut me like I don’t see the reason. We’re just dancing.
“Hey here let me help” Harry gives me an apologetic look.
“Ouch. Ouch. Harry stop” I pleaded.
“No ruby I need to put pressure so it can clog and stop bleeding. If it doesn’t stop you’re going to the ER ok?” he told me with a serious face. Gosh I liked the way he said my name. Suddenly I processed what he said and started getting scared.
“What did she cut me with that it was deep?” I asked him not really asking for a response. Until he looked me in the eye and droped his gaze.
“She had a sharp metallic thing I saw her put it in her wallet when they walked to the other side of the room.. so I’m guessing a razor blade” I sighed and he saw that I was a little worried.
“hey, hey. Look at me. You’ll be ok. I’ll be here for you. Alright so let me..” he was saying until Evelyn came over to the table with Niall and shot deatch glares at Harry.
“What did you do?” she was still looking at Harry.
“He didn’t do this.” I tried to say calmly. She met my gaze and relaxed.
“Then what happened how did this.. Omg ruby it’s still bleeding!” I knew she was scared when she couldn’t even finish her sentences.
“I’ve been putting pressure in it to get it to clog but it’s not working, I think shes going to have to the ER” I hated hospitals.
“Evie can you call security really quick?” Harry second that motion. He knew what I was going to do. If I was going to the ER and maybe get stitches, that girl was definitely going to get a restraining order and a free trip to jail.
“What’s the problem here…Oh my how did this happen?” the guy said.

“Some bitch kept bumping into me the whole night we moved away but kept doing it until the dumb bitch cut me, Excuse my language, but I wasn’t her arrested this cut hasn’t stopped bleeding since and im dizzy” Harry looks down at me shocked at what I just had said.
“Get her Bag! Let’s GO! Evelyn drive her car to the closest ER ill stay on the backseat with her.. Ruby Can you hear me..? Ruby!”
“I’m not dying yet so yea I can hear you idiot! So stop screaming in my good ear, Evie already messed up the other one earlier tonight I don’t want to go deaf on the other one!” I laughed at him while saying this. I was dizzy but no to the point of fainting.
In my defense its 1:20 A.M., and I woke up at 6 today to go to school and take my final. So I was probably tired. And for this guy to just lift me up and run outside was a bit over dramatic.
“Ruby, shut up and stop being sarcastic, you’re not fine so were going to the ER so don’t you dare go to sleep I don’t give a damn if you’re tired and shit alright?” Whoa talk about not a morning person do to make her a little angrier and for her to know I was fine I’m going to give her one more note of my sarcasm.
“That’s if I survive the ride to the ER with your driving. You sure you don’t want me to drive? It’s not like I’m drunk!” I smirked and they all stare at me. Ok fine I should stop.
“Oi. Is she always that sarcastic” I’m guessing it was Niall. Judging by the thick accent.
“Yea she always gets sarcastic when she’s nervous or sacred. It calms her.” She tried to whisper. Which was a fail since were in a car. And I’m only three feet away from her.
“I can hear you Molly” I said to Evie. I tried to reference the show Scrubs. Harry smiled right after I said Molly. I have no idea why.
“Harry try putting more pressure on that cut” Evelyn said with an evil tone.
“Ouch. Don’t you Dare Curly!” I yelled in agony since he followed Evelyn’s instructions.
“I’m sorry Ruby, Are we almost there yet Evelyn?” I heard him ask. My eyes were getting droopy this time Harry didn’t notice until I hit my head on the window.
“Ruby I told you! You cannot whatsoever go to sleep right now so wake up!!” I groaned and gave him a glare.
“that’s more like it. Ok now, we’re here can you walk or should I bring you in?”
“I have a right leg and a left I’m pretty sure I know how they work” I laughed at him. Yes I was being very sarcastic tonight but I was scared so he understood because he gave me a sympathetic look.
“Ok I’ll get out and ill open the door ok wait here” I waited patiently until my door swung open. As I took a step out of my car I was really dizzy and almost fell.
“Oh gosh Ruby ok C’mon ill bring you. You’ve lost a lot of blood I shouldn’t have even asked” he scolded himself out loud I giggled.
“Sorry I thought I was going to be able to walk” I said to him because usually when I get bad headaches I get dizzy like this, but I can always manage walking.
“Her name is Ruby Reyes she was cut by a girl at a party.. I’ve been putting pressure on it and it hasn’t stopped bleeding” Evie and harry were telling the nurse while I was busy looking at the only other person sitting in the waiting room he had a cast on his hand. Ouch. I wonder what lame thing he did. There I was laughing at something when I was also in there as well I bet the dude was wondering if I was drunk and wondering how I cut myself. So I stopped laughing at myself.
Well I wasn’t drunk because one I don’t drink and secondly its illegal since I’m still 18.
“Ok this can be severe. Bring her in please only two can go in” a nurse said.
“Evie and Harry you guys go in I’ll wait here and eat some chips, because in starving” I laughed when he said that. They all thought I was losing it at that moment. I wasn’t it’s just that that Irish boy can eat.
“Ruby can you tell me on a scale from 1-10 how much does it hurt?” she asked me.
“A 9 since this curly kid is still putting pressure on it” I said and she looked up at me and then looked at harry.
“Sorry she gets a little bitchy and sarcastic when she’s sad or really angry, and by the way she expressed herself to us about the girl who did this to her I’m 100% she’s both scared and angry at the girl.” Evelyn says apologizing to the nurse.
“It’s fine I understand.” She says while putting the IV in my good arm great now I can’t move both of my hands.
“Hi my name is Dr. Morgan I’ll be your doctor today. I heard someone poked an artery?” giving me a weird look.
“Listen Dr. Whatever I don’t know why you guys are calling it self harm, This was inflicted upon me alright! I wasn’t just standing there asking to be cut alright so cut the act and just sew me up because I’m tired and cranky and my arm hurts like hell!” I shoot a death glare at her. If only looks could kill.
“Easy there” she says at me and then ends up looking down at both Evelyn and Harry.
“Doc we need to act soon so the arm won’t get an infection” The nurse snaps the doctor out of a deep thought. Gosh why can some doctors be so stupid.
“Sedate her please, and then we need to take her to the O.R.” She stares at my arm and looks back at the clipboard taking of the orange band from my hand and from my medical record.


**Evelyn’s POV**
I was having a blast with Niall at Edna’s party. That was until I saw Ruby almost wanting to yell in pain. If harry did this he was going to get it.
After Harry well I mean ruby explained what happened I got off Harry’s back and got even more concerned ruby was really angry. When she told the security officer her voice sounded do cold and heartless. That girl got on Ruby’s bad side within minutes last time that ever happened was with some girl her freshmen year. I understand her though she physically harmed her to a point where she could’ve died thank goodness Ruby I’m guessing has a lot of blood because it seemed like it was just seeping through the cloth Harry had on her.
Now she was getting really sarcastic she’s probably feeling something she doesn’t want to tell us. That girl knows how to hide her emotions at times.
Once at the hospital Ruby was being rude to mostly everyone but at the same time she was laughing to herself at who knows what. Only Ruby laughs in a serious situation. The doctor seems like a bitch already she made the nurse label Ruby as a self-harm patient. Until Ruby straight up told her off and the doctor quickly took of the band from her arm and the sticker on the board in her hands.
Ruby got put to sleep for the pain, and also because she was going to get stiches. I started flipping through my phone and Niall texted me saying he was eating chips and that if I knew what they were going to do to her. I told him what was going to happen and he got so much happier that nothing bad happened.
Harry was on his phone, probably on twitter. But he was smiling so I couldn’t help myself asking.
“Hey, what was that?” I asked him.
“Oh it was nothing Liam texted me a few pictures of Edna’s cousins completely faded. He also asked what was going on, so I told him, and now they’re back at the hotel and he says he thinks Zayn is confused.” He told me.
“oh, Wait why would Zayn be confused?” I was totally being a snoop.
“Liam and I think that he may have grown feeling for Edna” he says with a huge grin. Not to burst their bubble but Edna has a boyfriend in the Marines.
“Oh hate to crush your friends and your dream but Edna has a boyfriend and he’s in the military, he deployed 3 weeks ago” I tell him. I saw his face get sad.
“Oh she does… I should tell Liam!” he says with a serious face this time.
“Ok there he knows now. Uhm hey do you know why Ruby doesn’t like that one song by “Fun.” , when it came to the first slow dance Ruby was blank no emotion no nothing like in the songs before, she mentioned something about bad memories of senior prom but I really want to know…” he says out of the blue.
“Oh We Are Young?” He nods. “Well it’s a touchy song for her it’s not my business to say but let’s just say it involves ex-boyfriend issues” I tell him. I hope he doesn’t ask more it’s a weird subject to talk about.
“So does she have anyone right now” he asks with hopeful eyes.
“No she doesn’t have a boyfriend, she’s single.. Why do you like her” I moved my eyebrows uo and down.
**Harry’s POV**
Oh my gosh. I can’t believe I asked that. Now I was blushing and full on. I hope she doesn’t mention it to ruby.
“Can this stay between us please, I don’t want her to know just yet.” She nodded with a huge grin on her face.

Well I’ll do the same Evelyn is doing and take a nap since Ruby is still heavily sedated. According to the doctors they needed to reapply more sedation medication because it didn’t numb her at all. So they said she wouldn’t wake up till later on today. It was already 4:27 A.M. so I needed to sleep the doctors put Ruby in a double bed. So Evelyn was sleeping next to her while they left me and Niall in the blue couches I didn’t mind because the nurse brought us a bunch of blankets. It wasn’t just blankets though it was the type they have in someplace warm they’re so cozy feel my eyes shutting in defeat.


*Ruby’s POV*

*10:22 a.m.*
*beep* *Beep*
Ugh what the? What’s that beeping noise! I grabbed my head it was throbbing. I moved my hand and ouch I had an IV in that one. Oh shit I’m still in the hospital. Ugh! Why does my head hurt so much?
“HEY” someone yelled, I cringe my head feeling like I got bricks thrown at me. Whoever yelled was going pay. I saw I got stitches and the cut had disappeared now all I had was a line that seemed closed but wrapped in stiches to make sure it stays closed.
“Ouch! What was that for” Louis yells at me.
“Stop Yelling you’re making it worse doc said she was going to be having terrible headache the worst migraine so don’t make loud noise that’s why the room is in pitch black” Harry whispers for Louis and Liam and Zayn to know.
Ugh now I knew why I was in pain now ugh.
“Where’s Evie” I whisper.
“She went for coffees for everyone with Niall to Starbucks across the street” he whispered back.
“Oh.” Was all I could say?
I felt tired again.
**Harry’s Pov**
She fell asleep again it was probably the medication they put into her IV. Louis just looks at me while I watched Ruby sleep.
“What does she have that got you so intrigued at the mall Hazza?” he asks me I just look up and look at him.
“Honestly her hair, her eyes, and her smile” Louis looks at me like in Awe.
“Well what do you think?” he asks me.
“what do you mean?” I reply.
“Do you… You know… Do you like her?” he looked at me.
I know I do but they’re going to think that I’m nuts because I’ve barely have known her a day. Yet I knew so much about her.
“Yea… I do” I confessed.
