Temporary Goodbyes

The past month with Niall has been amazing. I have been with him everyday and we have grown stronger. I have met some amazing fans and have had the ability to see them preform night after night.

Tonight was the last night of the US leg of the tour in LA. I stood backstage watching the boys preform as the concert was coming to the end.

“Tonight has been so much fun!! Have you guys had as much fun as we have?” Liam said in the mic to the crowd. The arena was suddenly filled with thousands of teenage girls screaming.

“Now, before we sing our last song and end this concert. There is something that one of us has to do.” Harry said to everyone. I was really confused. I hadn’t heard anything about them doing something new. I was in for a surprise just as much as the crowd was.

“For this we need a special person to come help us, so I would love to ask one of my best friends out here. Madison, will you please come join us?” They all turned to look at me while the crowd cheered. I looked back at them confused as they motioned for me to come out. I shook my head, not wanting to come out. Harry and Louis ran over and grabbed my hands and dragged me out to the front of the stage. I awkwardly smiled and waved to the thousands of eyes that were now on me.

“So Maddy, you’re probably wondering why you’re here.” Liam said walking over to me. He put the mic in front of my mouth so everyone could hear what I was saying.

“Yeah, I kind of am..” I replied

“Well, one of us has something he would really like to say to you.” Zayn said motioning over to Niall. I turned to look at him and saw him standing there smiling at me.I smiled back with a confused face along with it.

“Madison, we have been together for a little over a year now, and that year has been the greatest year of my life. You are honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me. You never fail to make me smile no matter what mood I am in. You’re all I think about when you’re
not with me, and I can’t let you go when you are with me. We have been through some rough times, but we have always come out stronger. I couldn’t see me with anyone else besides you, and I hope that doesn’t ever have to happen. So, Madison, sweetheart, will you make me the happiest and the luckiest guy to ever live and marry me?” He asked getting down on one knee and pulling out an absolutely beautiful ring. My hands flew to my face as tears fell. Don’t worry, they were happy tears. I couldn’t help the biggest grin ever from creeping on my face as I said yes a thousand times and nodded. Niall stood up, put the ring on my finger, and pulled me into him.

“She said yes everybody!!” Louis said to the crowd as they all cheered.

“Well go on! Kiss your fiancé!” Harry said to us. I looked up at Niall giggling, he was laughing too. He cupped my face as he kissed me. I smiled into the kiss, the first kiss we shared being engaged. The crowd cheered, yet again. That’s one thing that thousands of teenage girls in one place are good for, cheering. We pulled away and just smiled at each other.

“I am so happy you said yes. I was a little scared for a little that you wouldn’t.” He said to me.

“I would never say no.”

“I love you Mads.”

“I love you Niall.” He gently kissed me again. This moment was perfect. I was in absolute bliss. Niall asked me to marry him. I am engaged to Niall Horan. I am going to become Mrs. Horan. I didn’t want this moment to end. It was perfect.
