Chapter 4
I lay on the couch overwhelmed. I can't believe I gave myself to somebody I didn't know. I was wrapped in a strangers arms. But I can believe it. His words brought me to my unforgiving past. I was on the edge and all I wanted was to know somebody was there to hold me close. Even if it was somebody I just literally met. I wasn't smart to get in his car either. Visions flash through my head of me tied up in a basement by this male. But he didn't show me any darkness. He had me in his possession he could of done anything but.... He didn't. He surely wouldn't make a scene either, we were out in public. Maybe I am just over thinking this. There is something behind those eyes I don't know yet. But I want to find out. Now.
I lay thinking hard bout the situation. My mum was at work so I couldn't ask her for advice. I desired so answers though. I came to the girls.
The phone rang two times and then Lindsay answered. I left early but I knew everyone was probably still there.
"Hey can you round up the girls and all of you spend the night we have a lot of talking to do."
I hear all the girls discuss. Lindsay get back on the phone.
"Of course, we will come over. We are stopping at the store first to get us a few things. Be over soon."
I give a small huff. It's time to clean this messy flat. I tap on the radio and crank it up loud so I can hear it through the whole flat. I clean the dishes and mop the wooden floors. I roll up the blankets on the couch and clean up the tissues in my room. I finish with three full garbage bags and a bunch of laundry baskets. Finish off with dusting. I hear a small knock on the door. I turn down the music and answer. The girls are standing with bags full of popcorn bags, tea, frozen yogurt and chocolate.
"We are here"
They pile in dropping all the suit cases and grocery bags. I haven't noticed how dark it got until they came. We start to set up camp in the living room. We are up the two only air mattresses we have in the. We end up with so many pillows it is like a big fluffy fort. Phone chargers are all plugged into outlets in the walls. We pop 5 bags of popcorn and put them in giant bowls. We put in our first movie and put the yogurt in the freezer.
After 30 minutes we aren't even paying attention to the movie anymore. We all sitting in a circle talking bout what happened with Harry and I.
"You got in a car him?" Emily asks trying hard to sallow. I nod.
"But the thing is you just met him what were you thinking?" Eleanor says. "Are you crazy."
"We'll we all know that" Jordan says.
I crack a smile they all try their hardest to get me back to normal but since 4 months ago I couldn't, I physically could not. But sometimes by the look on their faces occasionally they see the real me flicker out. These were my best friends. They been with me since 7th grade, Lindsay longer. I know them and can be myself round them. But from what happened those months.... Ruined me. I never really felt like me without them and now even that is taken away from me.
I snap back to reality when I hear hear Jordan say my name.
"SELENA! Snap out of it!" Everyone stares. "Are you in lala land?" She laughs.
"Oops sorry" I shake away the bad memories of my past. "I'll try to have fun the rest of the night."
