I lay in bed half asleep. My phone vibrates on my stomach. I open my eyes and click on my iPhone light. The bright light from the screen burns through my eyes. It's Lindsay. "Hey do you think we can go to the mall? I 'know your still sad I think it will cheer you up." My fingers move to the Y then E then S. I get a small smile as I see the words I typed on the screen. "Yay!" I give a small huff as I roll out of bed. I walk over to my dresser as the large T-shirt I wear rubs against my mid-thighs. I look in the mirror. My long golden brown hair lays messily over my shoulders, my green eyes starring back at me. I pull out a pair of skinny jeans from the drawer I turn to my closet and see my reflection again in my closet door mirror, I slide it open and pull out a nice white tank top with a pretty design on the fronth. I swing my favorite blue jacket off the hanger. I slip my clothes on and slide into my blue slippers. I shut the closet door and look into the mirror. My head tilts back and forth I bite down on my bottom lip, not satisfied. I curl my hair and try to cover the bags over my eyes from the sleepless nights. I stumble down the stairs of my flat. My mum smiles as I pass her in the kitchen. "I see your are getting better" she speaks in a joyful voice. "Yea" my morning voice crooks like a frog. It's not used to me using it again. I haven't for weeks. I bite the soft pancakes and let it melt in my mouth. I taste the sweet syrup. My eyes flutter shut, I missed food. Badly. I never ate anything but what the doctor gave me for a month. I lick my plate clean and walk to the sink and rinse my plate. My arms spread as I turn to give my mum a hug I never interacted with her for a month. It wasn't her fault, I shouldn't of shut her out. I was just to depressed and I wanted to escape the world. I feel the tears roll down her face, she pulls away. "Thank you mum" She smiles in reply. "I'll be back later.... I love you" "I love you too" I walk out the door, the warm air hits me. I start down the street. My fingers start to type on my phone. "Hey I'm coming over Lindsay right now than we can leave" I walk to the door and her mum answers the door. I look down and back up to her wide startled brown eyes. "Is Lindsay here?" "Yes um ill go um get her" she speaks slow. Even though she has known me for years, she is uneasy by the sight of me. Her wide eyes stare at me, she is unable to move, frozen in her spot. Lindsay pops up Behind her mum. She is more comfortable with the sight of me she maneuvers around her mum and tugs me in her flat. We walk into her room I see the faces of 2 smiling girls in the room. "Hey selena!!! We missed you so much!!" Emily pulls me in for a big hug. Her gold-blonde hair tucked back in a tie her eyes lit up. Eleanor steps forward looking at the ground she looks up with a giant grin. "Oh come here you!" She engulfs me. "We all missed you very much" Lindsay says to me. "But come on we have to go to the mall you girls" We walk through the door and see Jordan standing next to the car. "Sorry I was late I had to drop off something to my mum" I pear between my friends shoulders, Jordan glances at my direction. "Your.... Here." With each step towards me a larger smile on her face. She gives me a hug. "It hasn't been the same without the crazy you!" She laughs. I give a small smile and we get into the car. The car is silent as we drive. The other girls try to start a conversation but it doesn't work. I sit in the passenger seat and stare out the window. The passing trees seem to calm me. A small huff from Lindsay. "How about some music" she turns the turner on. I watch as we pull into the lot. I try to encourage my self to get up for my friends but I'm not in the mood. I manage to get out of the car slowly. We step into the building. People are scattered all over shopping in the multiple stores. We walk in our group pushing through the other crowds of people. "So where do you girls want to go first?" Lindsay asks us. "Hmmm you hungry selena?" Eleanor asks. "Uh yea" I say quietly. We walk into the food court and sit down at a table. Restaurant booths surround us. We look around and start to separate to the restaurant line. I go to a line and wait for my turn patently and silently. I feel a gentle tap on my shoulder. I see a tall, chestnut curly haired male standing in front of me. His jade/green eyes fixed on me. "Hello I think you dropped something" he hold out my phone and gives a cheeky smile revealing beautiful dimples. "I'm harry"
