I smile largely as I stare at myself for the last time, before descending down the stairs. I touch the heart charm on my necklace, and sigh in complete contempt (http://www.polyvore.com/sensual_trio/set?id=116554761&lid=3328693). I text the mystery guest that a car is sent to escort him/her here, and as I climb down the stairs. Harry doesn’t seem to be standing at the door, and just for my luck; the doorbell rings. Rodger rushes to open the door, making me satisfied by his working skills.
I stare at the two people entering the mansion, as a burn feeling strikes my stomach. Camille walks in with her hand draped under Philip’s. I didn’t even invited him! “Its so good to finally see you!” Camille drops her hand from Philip’s, and engulfs me with a hug; but I am still in a confused shock about his presence. “(She whispers) You won’t mind my +1… actually boyfriend, right?” I don’t know what to say.
I’m not mad, I’m just shocked. I don’t feel hurt at all because Philip wasn’t my interest at any point; but really? Camille and Philip? “Of course I’m not, don’t be silly.” I beam a smile at her, and she sighs in relief. “Good to have you here, Philip.” I stretch my hand to shake his, and he does the same in return. I don’t hate him, but I hate how our parents once arranged our futures. “Follow me.” I smile at them as I take the lead to guide them through the dining room. Once I enter, I notice Louis, Eleanor, Niall, Liam, and that Sophia minx seated already.
Harry glances at me and his eyes wonder all over my body, scanning me like I am a priceless painting. Once he sees who’s behind me, he jumps off of his seat, and charges his footsteps next to mine. “What’s he doing here?” I thank god for granting him this calmness, but I know it won’t last forever. “He’s Camille’s boyfriend. Cami, this is mine. (I look at Harry, and then back at my best friend) Harry.” She is amazed of the truth, but she tries to act positive. “Nice to meet you, Harry.” He nods at her, but his eyes are piercing Philip’s.
“(I interrupt the volcano of awkwardness) Let’s be seated, shall we?” They all nod, as Harry pulls out the chair for me to sit next to his. His strength drags the chair and me closer to him, as his hand cups my thigh in a possessive, yet protective gesture. “It’s nice to have you all here. I would call the waiters for dinner, but we are still missing one more guest.” They all nod at me, except for Niall; he groans and I laugh at his constant hunger. “I’ve missed you all. It’s really pleasant to have everyone I know gathered. (I look at Camille and Philip) Guys, would you two introduce yourselves to the rest?” They both nod, but their eyes look like they don’t want to. I don’t blame them; I blame their closed mentality about class differentiation.
While everyone starts talking amongst themselves, Harry leans to my ear and hisses calmly: "Did you invite this bastard? If he’s this mystery guest that you have been going all over, Mel; I am not positively surprised at all. Could I at least punch him? Just once and I will be happy.” I roll my eyes at Harry, and my hand lands on top of his that’s already on my thigh. “Be nice. He isn’t the mystery guest. I didn’t even know that Camille is dating him; it must have happened when I moved with Niall, or when I entered the hospital.” He nods, accepting the truthful facts, as he places a kiss on my cheek. “(He announces from the door) Miss Cramer. Your guest has arrived.” My tension builds deep inside, but I nod for Rodger to let the guest in.
