Sitting on a black sofa, a girl with dark hair watched an interview on her TV screen. The boys of One Direction were discussing their summer tour which had just ended and everything looked perfect. From their hair to the smiles to the outfits, no one would have guessed that the tour hadn’t been so picturesque. In the girls apartment though, stuffed in a drawer, were pictures of the band on tour that would prove what had happened. Prove that her memory wasn’t bad. Prove that Harry Styles really had found a girl on tour.

The boys, however when asked about the rumor of a girl, shot it down. The girl pictured with Harry leaving the club was just a photographer on tour with them, she was only a friend. Shaking her head, the girl scoffed as the boys laughed at something the interviewer said. It was nearly infuriating that they were acting like she meant nothing.

“So Harry,” the blonde interviewer said turning to the curly haired boy, “You’ve said that the girl you were photographed with was just a friend, but what happened to her? She hasn’t been seen since.”

“Honestly,” Harry began, a smile tugging at his lips that never met his eyes, “I’m not exactly sure, I think she had another job right after our tour.”

That was a huge lie. He knew exactly where she was, sitting in her small apartment in LA. After the pictures broke, everything had gone crazy. Suddenly, he seemed distant almost as if she had just been a toy that he had played with until it affected the tour. It was a horrible feeling. After the tour, she decided to take a break. She needed a break to recover from the craziness. She needed the break to get over him.

“Are you planning on seeing her soon?” The interviewer asked, clearly not buying the ‘just friends’ response.

“Not at the moment, our schedules are both pretty busy, but we might have her shoot our next album cover,” Harry replied, his shoulders stiff in the navy blazer he wore.

Turning off the TV, the girl looked over at a picture hanging beside the shelf system. A mop of curly brown hair covered most of a boy’s face as he kissed a girl. The lighting was just right for the angle it was shot at to shadow just the right places, yet make it clear that the boy had a hand lightly on her jaw line. The photo embodied everything she loved about the art form, that’s why she had even bothered to put it up. Even though looking at it made her heart ache, she still thought it was one of the best portrait shots she had taken and she didn’t like taking pictures off the wall once they were up.

Sighing, she lifted herself from the sofa and made her way to the door. She had a meeting today, just to finalize the photos that would be used from the tour. Luckily the boys wouldn’t be there. It would just be her, one of the company execs and a representative from Modest Management. Grabbing her bag, she left the little apartment wishing she could stay and hoped that no one would recognize her. It’s not as if she could tell them anything anyway. The day the tour ended a lawyer had approached her and handed her a gag order. She, by law, couldn’t say a damn thing about the tour other than ‘It was a wonderful experience’.

“Fuck ‘wonderful experience’,” she muttered as she got into the car. It had started off pretty well, but by the end of it, the experience was a disaster. She could remember every minute of it, from the phone call that started it all to the tabloids that destroyed everything. By the time the pictures came out next week everyone would wonder what had been taken out, what was missing. Unfortunately, she couldn’t tell her story. Her story was brushed under a rug of legal drama. Her story would have to be kept to herself.
