Waiting For Superman

I took the picture of my dad and went and sat on my bed. I found this picture in one of my mum’s old scrapbooks and decided to keep it. She doesn’t know that I have it and I want to keep it that way because she might take it away. Even though what Louis said really hurt me I know it’s true.

I stood up and walked to my bathroom and looked in the mirror then down at my father’s picture. I have his nose and mouth but everything else I get from my mum. There was a knock on my door. I put the picture back in the drawer and went to open the door and found my mom standing there with two mugs in her hands. I took one and went and sat on my bed while she closed my door.

“You know your brother didn’t mean it right?” she asked as I set my mug on my table and laid down with my head in her lap. She began to stroke my hair.

“It didn’t seem like it. He’s right though. I was a mistake. Maybe if I went back to the US and stayed with Aunt Sarah again it would make things easier.” I said. After I spoke my mum sat me up and looked straight into my eyes.

“Baily Marie Tomlinson don’t ever say that. You were gone for a year it was the longest year of my life. I love you with all my heart and even though you weren’t planned I love you as much as I do your brother and sisters. I can’t imagine my life without you now and I know I did the right thing in the end. Don’t let anyone not even your brother tell you otherwise. I love you.” She said kissing the top of my head then wiping my tears away.

“I love you too mum. I just don’t think I can forgive Louis right now.” I said.

“I know and that’s understandable. Right now I believe you have a certain boy to call.” She said handing me my phone and walking out of my room. I scrolled through my contacts until I came to Harry’s name. I took a deep breath before I pressed his name. After two rings he answered the phone.

“Baily?” he asked with a voice sounding as if he just woke up.

“Hi Harry.So I was wondering if you still wanted to we can go out tonight.” I said nervously into the phone.

“I would love to. I can be at your house in five minutes.” He said.

“Great see you then.” I said hanging up. I began to cheer then realized that I needed to fix my makeup before I went out. As I finished my makeup Harry showed up so I went down stairs to find Dan letting him in and Louis in the living room.

“I thought I said you aren’t allowed to go out with him.” Louis said. I rolled my eyes and went to meet Harry. When he saw me he pulled me into a hug. We went to the movies and then we went on a walk in the park.

“Sorry about Louis earlier.” I said.

“It’s fine. I understand, I would probably do the same if it was Gemma and one of the other boys.” Harry said looking down at his hands.

“Lets talk about something else. What do you plan on doing while us girls are on our trip?” I asked him.

“Catch up on sleep and maybe write some songs.” He said looking at me. I looked up and saw that there were fairly lights on the tree.

“What will the songs be about?” I asked turning and looking at him.

“Just how I feel right now. Can I ask you something?” Harry asked stopping.

“Sure.” I said as he reached and moved my hair out of my face.

“I was wondering if you would possibly want to maybe…” Harry began making me chuckle.

“Are you going to get to it anytime soon?” I asked with a smirk and he began to blush.

“Would you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked me.

“I would love to.” I said looking down smiling. He put his hand under my chin and lifted my head up. I saw him smiling and then he pulled me into a hug and began to cheer loudly making me laugh.

“People maybe asleep you know.” I said when we pulled apart.

“I don’t care.” He said kissing me then grabbing my hand and we began to walk to the car. Once I got home I found both Kayla and Mason on my bed.

“Look who finally came back.” Kayla said standing up and hugging me.

“Someone is happy what happened?” Mason asked as I sat down in between them. I told them about our night and they both began to freak which caused my mom and Dan to walk into my room.

“Are you guys ok?” my mom asked placing her hand on her bump.

“Yes! I may be dating a guy named Harry Styles.” I said smiling. My mom began to cheer then she and Dan left my room.

“I would love to stay and chat but I have practice tomorrow.” Kayla said hugging me then leaving. After she left Mason helped me pack for my trip. Once we were finished we laid down in my bed and began to talk.

“So I met this guy and we are getting really close. Also he is hot.” Mason said.

“That’s great! When do I get to meet this mystery guy?” I asked him.

“I don’t know, but I do know I’m tired so lets sleep.” He said. I turned off my light and then feel into a deep slumber

Two Days Later
Today the girls and I are leaving for the US. It’s 5:00 AM and we are all getting ready to leave for the airport. I haven’t talked to Louis since the day we got in a fight and today wouldn’t be different. I was putting our bags in the trunk when Dan walked out.

“You should really talk to him you know.” He said putting a bag in the trunk.

“I want to he just hurt me.” I said closing the trunk and leaning against it.

“I know but he did it because he cares.” Dan said walking away. I followed him and gave my mum a hug before we all got in the car. Louis was driving us and I was in the passenger’s seat. You could cut the tension in the car with a knife. Now that I think about it this is the longest Louis and I have went without speaking to each other.

When we arrived at the airport we saw the other boys standing with their sisters and/or girlfriends. When we walked up to the group Harry just waved along with the others. We decided to keep it a secret until further into our relationship so the fans won’t send me hate. I feel horrible not telling our family and friends but we both believe it’s for the best.

“Ruth and Nicola will be meeting you guys at the hotel tomorrow because they couldn’t give off work until then.” Liam said as I hugged him. We all nodded out head.

“Flight15b to Florida is now boarding.” An overhead voice said. All my sisters gave Louis a hug and I just stood looking out the window.

“You’re going to have to talk to me at some point.” Louis said coming and standing next to me.

“Well this isn’t that point.” I said walking away to the terminal so I could board. On the plane I sat with Fizzy and Phoebe. I put my ear buds in and closed my eyes. “Your Song” by Ellie Goulding was on. I remember when all my friends were going to a father daughter dance. I didn’t go since I didn’t have a dad to go with. Mark was going with Lottie and even though I called him dad it wouldn’t feel right.

That night Louis took me out to dinner and then when we got back to the house the back yard was decorated. This song began to play and we began to dance.

“Baily do you hate Louis?” Phoebe asked me pulling me out of my thoughts.

“No. I could never hate him. Why don’t you go to sleep, both of you? I’ll wake you up when we land.” I said. They nodded their heads and closed their eyes.
