The Secrets
Chapter 4
*Madison's POV*
"Ug, Skyler, as much as I love this job here singing, I am not wanting to do this today. I just wanna watch movies and sleep!" I said falling down on the couch in the back room of Paradise Cafe. I have worked here for almost a year. I have always wanted to sing and this is how I am trying to make my name known, well for now. It is also how I met Skyler.
"I feel ya. Alice was up really early and I hardly slept last night. A nap sounds amazing!" She said sitting down on the couch by my head.
"Girls! Five minutes!" John yelled into the room. I grunted not wanting to get up.
"Okay Alice you be good. We are going to go sing our song now. Don't get into any trouble!" Skyler told Alice. We walked out of the room and onto the stage.
"Hi guys, I'm Madison and this is Skyler and we are going to sing Little Things by One Direction." I said into the Mic when Skyler and I were ready to sing our song.
"You can't go to bed without a cup of tea, and maybe that's the reason that you talk in your sleep. And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep, though it makes no sense to me." Skyler sang.
"I know you never loved the sound of your voice on tape. You never want to know how much you weigh. You still love to squeeze into your jeans, but you're perfect to me." I sang before we got to the chorus and sang that together. As the chorus came to an end, I heard the door ding. I looked up and noticed that it was One Direction. Why would they come here? All of a sudden I heard the sound of a mic being dropped. I looked over and saw Skyler run off the stage. I quickly put my mic down and ran after her.
"What the hell Skyler?" I asked not understanding why she did that.
"Niall, he's out there… what if he sees me and remembers me?" She asked starting to panic. Just then Alice came running over to her.
"Mommy! Mommy!" She yelled grabbing onto Skylers leg and not letting go.
"Hi sweety!" Skyler replied picking her up and holding her. "Come on. Let's go watch Miss Madison sing a song!" She told her giving me a look. She totally just found her way of getting out of me convincing her to calm down and not worry about Niall. We all walked out and Skyler and Alice went into the audience. I walked up on stage and started to sing I'm Yours by Jason Mraz.
When the song ended everyone applauded and I thanked them and walked off the stage. I noticed that Skyler walked into the back with Alice so I went there to confront her yet again about running off stage.
"Skyler.." I started.
"Hold on! I need to go find something!" She walked back into the storage room and I just slumped against the wall waiting for her to come out. A few seconds later London, Skylers sister, walked into the room. My eyes widened, she wasn't supposed to be here until next week. She quickly put her finger up signaling me to be quiet. Then she gave me a look that I could tell was meaning 'where is Skyler?' I quickly motioned to the back room. She walked back there and I decided to just walk out into the audience. I came out just in time to see Chloe jump on Zayn, she has missed him so much. I walked over to say hi to her and officially meet Zayn.
"Chloe!" Alice ran past me right to Chloe. She picked Alice up, spun her around, kissed her cheek, then set her back down. I walked up to them and said hi to Chloe.
"Hey Maddy, this is Zayn." She introduced us and he held out his hand for me to shake.
"Nice to finally meet you." I said shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you too." He said smiling back at me. "These are the boys: Louis, Harry, Niall, and Liam." He said pointing to each one and I shook their hands. When I reached Liam's I couldn't help but just stare at him, he did the same to me. We were stuck like that until Chloe said hi to Skyler. Once she did that, we both quickly looked away awkwardly. I turned and smiled at Skyler as she walked up. I could tell things were going to be interesting...
