Wednesday January 22nd

Iris’s POV:

Yet again, Harry was too sick for school, so I was left to find our friends again. At least today there weren’t any surprises waiting for me. I’m just left with the aftermath of yesterday. A few of the “unwanted” fliers were still taped to lockers and of course, my locker was still covered in permanent graffiti. I acted like I didn’t care, letting out a little chuckle at the sight before me. I sure as hell confused a lot of people.

“Why is she laughing?” I heard someone whisper.

“It doesn’t bother her anymore?” a girl gasped.

It does bother me, but I don’t want them to know that. That’ll only make people pick on me more, just as the boys said yesterday. I need to follow everyone’s advice and act tough. No more tears and no more running away. I’ll make Harry so proud.

“Hey Iris,” a girl said from behind me. I turned around to find Kyle, Dakota and Liz all standing before me.

“Hey,” I smiled. “What’s up?”

Liz shrugged, “Just wanted to say hi, I guess.”

I laughed at their awkwardness. I guess I can see why people make fun of them, but they’re so nice and funny. Who wouldn’t want to be friends with them?

“Can I ask you guys something?” I closed my locker and leaned against it. Kyle nodded vigorously, making me laugh more. “If I were to say I wanted to help you guys stand up to your bullies, what would your response be?”

“Uh, are you crazy?” Dakota’s eyes widened.

Liz chuckled, “How would a small group like us be able to stand up to all of them?”

“Pranks,” I simply answered. I stayed up for hours last night coming up with plans. I can think of a few pranks at the top of my head to pull on people, and it just might get them to surrender. “It would just put them in their place and show them not to mess with us.”

“That could work for us,” Kyle curled his lips. “But what about you?”

“Aww,” Liz cooed and received a stomp on the foot and a glare from Dakota. I giggled at them and Kyle’s flushed face. How could anybody mess with these three?

I pushed some loose hairs out of my face, “Don’t worry about me. I'll think of something in time. For now, I just want to help get those people off your backs.”

Dakota grinned, “I say we should do it.”

“Team Retaliation,” Kyle smiled and placed his hand in between all of us. I playfully rolled my eyes and placed my hand on top of his, waiting for the girls to do the same. Of course, Kyle’s hand was shaking, most likely because I was touching it, but I didn’t want to look up at his blushing face again.

“Yeah,” we all mumbled as we threw our hands back.

I started laughing, “We should’ve planned that out before we did it.”

“Agreed,” Dakota said as she hid her face in embarrassment.

“Iris Mercer, report to the principal’s office,” the intercom sounded after the break bell rang. “I repeat: Iris Mercer, please report to the principal’s office.” What did I ‘do’ this time?

“Oooooohhhhh,” some boys mocked me since I’m probably in trouble for something I didn’t do. I’m the only one who ever gets called into the office, or at least that’s what it feels like.

I slowly made my way to the office as I ran possible scenarios in my mind. The problem was that I couldn’t come up with anything. I walked up to the front desk and was escorted by the principal's secretary to his office. He shouldn’t even have a secretary. The poor lady probably does most of his work. Then, I was seated in front of the asshole himself. What’s he going to say this time?

“Hello again, Miss Mercer,” he smiled. I mentally rolled my eyes, but flashed him a half smile on the outside. “Do you know why you’re in here?” I shook my head. “I saw your locker this morning. I don’t appreciate the vandalism.” Thank God, he’s finally going to help me.

“For your actions, you will be asked to repaint the locker after school sometime this week. Also, I’ll have to remove you from the talent show.” That's…wait, what?

I scoffed, “You’re joking right?”

He crossed his arms, “I’m taking this very seriously.”

“You think I want my locker to say ‘Beware of STD Girl’ on it?!” I slammed my hands onto his desk, making him jump in his seat. I was surprised by my own actions as well, but I'm offended, so I can't help it.

“I-I, I didn’t see-“

I started laughing, “Okay, wait.” Once I calmed down my laughter, I replaced my smile with a scowl. “You didn’t read what it said? What kind of principal are you?”

“I-“

I waved my hands, “You want me to clean up someone else’s mess and you’re going to kick me out of the talent show because you didn’t even bother to either review what your stupid cameras caught or read the words that are on my locker?” I have so many names I’d love to call this guy but I’d rather not actually get in trouble. “And don’t tell me that your cameras aren’t facing my locker, because I know they are. I’ve seen them.”

“Okay,” he nodded. “I will have a look at the footage.”

“Thank you,” I spat and started heading out of the room.

“But I don’t appreciate your attitude,” he sighed. Okay, he’s getting on my last nerve. “You’re still banned from the show.”

“Good luck in hell,” I muttered under my breath, being sure he wouldn’t hear me. Thank God I wasn’t looking at him when I said it. I stormed out of the office and to my locker. Stupid fucking locker. Stupid damn bullies. I’m not allowed to be happy. They won’t let me.

I’m not even sad anymore. I’m furious. Not only are they hurting me, but they’re taking away all the joy I had. I’m done. I want to get even, but first, I need to have a little chat with Mrs. Clark.

Niall placed his finger on my arm and made a sizzling noise before he pulled it away and shook it, “Ouch. What’s got you all worked up? I can feel the heat radiating off of you.” The group and I were all sitting at the lunch table, but I wasn’t hungry. In fact, I was crushing every little chip in the Doritos bag as I plotted my revenge.

“Well,” I started. “Our fucking principal has decided to kick me out of the talent show for NOT trashing my locker.”

“I’m confused,” Niall scratched his neck. Of course he is.

“Wait, what?” Perrie’s jaw dropped to the floor. “Please say that’s not true.”

I groaned, “I wish it wasn’t. After all the hard work we’ve done, and Eleanor helping me out…” I paused and took a deep breath in attempt to calm myself. “Someone vandalizes my locker, and somehow I get in trouble for it. It’s just how the school works with me. I don’t do shit, and I’m to blame.”

“I’m sorry,” Liam frowned and started rubbing my back.

I growled and buried my head into my arms on the table, “I hate this school.”

Perrie pouted, “I’m so sad.”

“Why don’t you talk to Mrs. Clark about it?” Eleanor suggested. “I mean, she’s the one who wants him fired anyways.”

“I’m going to,” I mumbled into my arms.

“Well then go now,” Louis laughed. “You’re not eating anyways.”

I stood up from the table, “Yeah, I’ll go. You can eat my food, Porky. I don’t want it.”

“Yay!” he snatched the food into his possession.

I just laughed and left the cafeteria to head to Mrs. Clark’s room. He can’t ban me from the talent show for this shit. It’s not fair. I’ve prepared so much and I was really looking forward to it. Gah, this is just so frustrating. I’m fuming. I can see steam rising from my skin, that’s how pissed I am.

“Mrs. Clark?” I put on a smile for her as I entered her room.

“Hey, Iris,” she stood up from her desk. “What can I do for you?”

I walked over to her and sat on top of her desk, “I’m banned from the talent show.”

“What?” she furrowed her brows. “Why haven’t I heard about this?”

I shrugged, “I don’t know, but I didn’t do anything. Have you seen what those people did to my locker?”

She sighed, “Yeah, I did.”

“Well, apparently that’s my fault,” I rolled my eyes.

“That doesn’t make any sense.”

“That’s what I’m saying,” I nodded. “So now I’m not allowed to compete. Another part of the reason is because I told him to check his cameras. He didn’t like that I stood up to him.”

She ran her fingers through her hair, “Okay, I’ll have a talk with him and, I’ll even watch the footage myself if I have to. I’ll find who’s responsible.”

“Thanks Mrs. Clark,” I shot her a genuine smile and walked over to give her a hug. “I knew I could count on you.”

“No problem, Sweetie,” she grinned. “Don’t worry about a thing. You’re still part of the show whether he likes it or not.”

I nodded and made my way out of the classroom. I’m glad I have her support. Mrs. Clark is amazing, I love her. She probably would like that I’m going to stand up to my bullies, but she won’t approve of how I’m going to do it. Before, I had simple and silly plans, but now, I need bigger ideas. I’m so worked up that I’m going to do the last thing I’d ever want to do...

“Hello Riley,” I walked up to her with a smirk playing on my face.

“Hey,” her smile soon changed to a look of confusion. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I need your help,” I crossed my arms. “If you’re really sorry, that’s exactly what you’re going to do.”

She raised her eyebrows, “What kind of help are you talking about?”

“Vengeance,” I shrugged. “Something you’re clearly experienced in.”

She nodded, “Okay, I’ll do it. I’m gonna need a team though. I’m sure you won’t want me working with Scott and Andrew.”

I shook my head, “Don’t worry. I’ve already got a group assembled.”

“This is gonna be fun,” Riley clapped. Oh, trust me, it will be.

I’m not just looking for revenge; I’m out for blood. This is only the calm before the storm. Watch out Bitches, Hurricane Mercer is headed your way.

Who do you think trashed Iris's locker and put up those Photoshopped fliers of her?

Do you think Iris is doing the right thing by getting revenge?

@ReignOn
To be honest, I had no idea where I got the poodle shaped birthmark idea until now haha. I knew I heard it from somewhere, but I was never able to figure out where. Also, there are tons of people who get locks for their doors to lock on the outside. I babysat for a family that had locks on their kid's doors to lock them in whenever they were in a timeout.
